19 Not Your Fault

" ... "

" Sis, are you there?"

" How did you know I was back?" asked calmly Ting Mei.

" Grandpa told me last night when I went to visit him," answered Ting Feng.

" I see... I know I should have told you but let's just talk about it tomorrow, I am very tired tonight so goodnight brother," said Ting Mei before cutting the line.

Ting Feng didn't have time to say another word before the line went dead.

Ting Feng was Ting Mei's older brother. He was very doting on her younger sister and absolutely cherished her. He was a handsome genius since birth and was often sent overseas to study but never got a lot of time to spend with her sister. That's why, each time he came back, he would spend all his time having fun with her. Ting Mei who was often alone really liked his brother but distanced herself from him when her stepsister entered the family. When she was sent to America, he wasn't there and only knew the truth after she was sent to military school so tomorrow it will be their first meeting in a long time.

Ting Mei sent her brother the cafe's emplacement she just went at earlier the day and went to bed.

...

After wearing a frilly black top and a cute white mermaid knee length skirt, she eats breakfast and leaves the house.

Arriving at the empty cafe, she immediately spots her black haired brother and walks towards him.

Ting Feng instantly jumped up and ran towards her with wide open arms, pulling her into a tight hug.

" Big brother, did you miss me?" smiled Ting Mei.

" You don't even know how much!" cried out Ting Feng.

" I love you big bro." whispered gently Ting Mei with a big smile.

" Me too." answered softly Ting Feng on the verge of tears.

After a long moment, Ting Feng finally lets go of her sister and goes buy them two vanilla cappuccino.

" How are you doing sis?" asked Ting Feng while sitting down.

" Fine, I just came back to America 2 days ago so there isn't much going on," answered Ting Mei while sipping her drink.

" Sis, I am your brother, even though we weren't together too much, I know you pretty well and you have something planned right? You wouldn't have announced your return on the news with so much carefreeness without a plan. Am I right?" hinted Ting Feng with a raised eyebrow.

" You know me a bit too well because you are right." laughed Ting Mei.

" Don't worry I have a plan and this was just a dust on the real one. The Fei family doesn't watch news about entertainment so it's fine, they won't see." continued Ting Mei.

" My evil sister seems to have a plan... Would she mind to let me know?" hinted Ting Feng.

" Yes, she would mind and she doesn't want to dilute her secret plan so easily. You might as well take your time trying to bribe her..." chuckled gently Ting Mei.

Ting Feng was dumbfounded, his sister truly is someone incredible!

" Oh well, I guess I'll start bribing you by buying a villa for you!" exclaimed Ting Feng

" Thank you, brother, but no thank you! I can't call it mine if I didn't buy it. Actually, I have to go win money to buy it now. So goodbye brother! I'll come visit you next time, just send me your address." replied Ting Mei while checking her watch.

She got up from her seat and went to hug her brother one last time before walking home.

Even though Ting Fen was disappointed, he knew his little sister well and knew that she would blame herself for ruining the family. She will try her best to fix it even though it's not her fault.

"My sweet little sister, it was never your fault that mom died...never." whispered softly Ting Feng while watching her sister walk away.
