13 Got Caught

Despite being on the border to faint, she still went up to the handsome man and shook his hand.

" Hello M. Heng, it is an honor to meet you." greeted politely Ting Mei in a gentle tone.

" So now she knows my name..." laughed inwardly Heng Huan.

" It is my pleasure as well to meet you again Miss Ting." spoke gently Heng Huan.

"He knows. Oh well, it's not like I am going to run all my life from it," thought Ting Mei as she led him to sit on a couch in the fancy living room.

" M. Heng, may I know what brought you to visit me today?" started Ting Mei.

" Miss Ting, I am here to give you my thanks for your help last night. As you know, I was in an uncomfortable situation and you really saved me last night." Heng Huan replied while he took out a card with a phone number and pushed it forwards Ting Mei on the table.

" As a repayment, you can call my number anytime and I will do my best to help you no matter the problem." continued Heng Huan.

" No need, your thanks is enough, I was truthfully not minding my business so there isn't a need for you to repay me in any other way," responded Ting Mei in a polite voice.

" I insist, you really helped me last night and I know Miss Zhao pretty well, she will not let you off so easily after you assumed your role as my girlfriend." answered back Heng Huan in an even gentler tone as he smiled inwardly.

Ting Mei never thought that this man would be so pushy.

" It was my choice to help you yesterday, I will take full responsibility for my actions, there is absolutely no need for you to feel concerned and responsible." continued Ting Mei.

He was truly mesmerized by Ting Mei, he never met a woman like her. She was so stubbornly cute that it made the man let out a small chuckle out loud.

" Fine, I wouldn't want to force you but I would appreciate if you would still keep my card just in case you need help with something." insisted Heng Huan.

Out of politeness, Ting Mei squeezed out a thank you and took the card.

" Miss Ting, actually, I also came here for another reason and that is to recruit you to enter our company as a new actress," told Heng Huan to Ting Mei.

" Wow! This is a great occasion but may I ask why have you chosen me?" questioned Ting Mei in a startled tone.

" Miss Ting, I recently watched your movies and I have to say that I am impressed by the level of genuine emotions in your acting. I also searched your past worker's review on you and they all turned out great, always adding a specific line of your professionalism during shoots. You have exactly all the asset to become an international actress with our help." stated Heng Huan in one breath.

" I am absolutely delighted to hear those words from you but I'll have to decline your offer," responded Ting Mei in a composed manner.

" Please don't get me wrong, I genuinely want to join the company but I want to enter the company by auditioning like everyone else so that I can enter the company while holding my head up high for being recruited for my talents. Many will judge me if I suddenly enter Heng Empire and this is the safest way to go." continued Ting Mei in the same tone.

Heng Huan couldn't help it anymore and a huge smile beamed on his face. This little girl actually thought it trough and was actually very smart and cunning, declining the easy entrance just to enter by her own to prove that she was recruited because of her talent, only her would be this weird and this stubborn. She really got me well this time laughed Heng Huan. I met her twice and that's it. How could I fell so easily? I'm afraid I am already forever caught in her dangerous spiderweb of love.
