15 Getting Ready

After Heng Huan went away, she started preparing her script for her audition. After spending hours on her script, she decided to take a break and head to the mall near Fen Hua's villa.

Ting Mei was a beauty, so walking in the mall in peace was very hard for her. Everywhere she would go, whispers on her would be heard.

Suddenly, a boy in his twenties stopped in front of Ting Mei with a flirty smirk.

" Hi, charming lady! Would you go on a date with me?" flirted the man.

" No. I am married," said Ting Mei in a cold tone.

This was the fastest way to get away from him and to make him abandoned.

" Lady! How could you so blunt! You are so young and I can't seem to find a ring on your finger, you probably ain't married." laughed the man.

" Brat! How could you be so stupid? You are so ignorant and I also can't seem to find a brain in your head, you probably aren't worth my time so move along." darted Ting Mei in an icy voice.

The man was shocked! How could a girl be this deadly to talk to!

Ting Mei has already encountered all type of flirts so she knew how to deal with and seeing his dumbfounded and frozen expression, she took the opportunity and she quickly walked away.

Eventually, she stepped into a store, hoping that the whispers would stop, but unlucky for her, she was wearing famous clothing that was prepared by Fen Hua and she looked extremely rich. The worker obviously remarked it and tried to sell her all the most expensive clothing.

Getting a huge headache. she decided to head for an isolated cafe to buy herself a drink to calm down.

" This is getting annoying, being rich and beautiful is truly bothersome!" thought Ting Mei.

If Heng Huan was here he definitely would laugh at her cute and weird behavior while others would be looking at her disbelief.

The isolated cafe was pretty far from the mall and was located in a poorer street but she found peace there and didn't very minded.

Sipping her drink, she looked at the billboard on the wall across her and read the posts. All of them were relied on winning money by beating others in certain categories, there was dart shooting, motorcycle races, fighting contest, knowledge contest, music contest, dancing contest...

"The amount of money for winning is quite large and the competition seems fairly easy... " pondered Ting Mei while taking another sip of her drink.

" Maybe I should give it a try... Fighting and all seems a bit suspicious but dancing, singing, and knowledge seem like safe bets... I can't depend on Fen Hua too long, getting extra cash would be important and their amount offered is pretty huge..." Ting Mei couldn't help but consider applying.

Remembering her engagement with Heng Huan, she takes pictures of the flyers in hurry and walked away.

Back at Fen Hua's villa, Fen Hua jumps around Ting Mei' bedroom as she hears what happened with Heng Huan.

" I can't believe it! Isn't like a date with the king of the world? Aren't you excited?" yelled Fen Hua in an excited tone while shuffling trough Ting Mei's closet.

" First it's not a date, second it's not exciting, it's stressing and thirdly why are you even stressing?" stated Ting Mei.

" Whatever! You know yourself more than me so I won't push it! Come now, go try this dress!" said Fen Hua in a bubbly voice while she shows a dress to Ting Mei.

After an hour of preparation, Ting Mei finally was done. She wore a knee blue dress that was both fancy and casual with some natural twirls and a beautiful neckline around her neck. Around her neck and her middle finger, a glamorous matching diamond set was wrapped elegantly, leaving a classy feeling. Her beautiful collarbone was clearly showed when she wore a cute clean bun with a blue ribbon matching her high heels.

The outfit in overall wasn't too fancy but was just enough to leave an elegant feeling, making her more charming than she already was.

In a blink of an eye, it was already time for her head for her date.
