39 Fresh Start

When Ting Mei finished, their minds exploded in disbelief. If there was a shock calculator, it would surely indict that the shock from the people in the room has surpassed the limit by far.

Not only is Ting Mei's acting out of this world but she also seems to be a genius when it comes down to intelligence alone. Who would think that far and from this kind of point of view? Ting Mei said it like it was obvious and logical but it was actually deeper and more complicated than it looked. Furthermore, her conception matched perfectly with the script and the storyline. This kind of perfect understanding couldn't be simply thought up from a normal person.

They quickly covered their mouth in shock as they remembered what they thought about her. They thought she was stupid and that was their's life greatest mistake. How could they confuse a genius with an idiot?

The judges quickly recognized their mistake and promptly tried to fix it, " You are absolutely right, it was our mistake that we didn't realize it sooner. We are truly apologetic to have accused you by mistake."

Now was their chance to redeem themselves and they will do it without any shame. They were standing in front of a peerless artist. How could they act rude? All the judges already knew that she was going to be a huge hit and they obviously didn't want to let go of this opportunity to curry themselves a favor when she becomes famous. Furthermore, they all knew about her close relationship with Eva and Fen Hua. Offending her, wasn't an option.

" It's fine, you were just doing your job. Either way, I am just happy that the misunderstanding was solved and that Miss Hui Yin's team doesn't think of me as a copycat. It would truly pain me to be labeled as an untalented, useless and stupid trash by being a copycat but hopefully, I am not."

The crowd was a bit confused by her words but didn't think too much in detail but for Hui Yin, who knew that it was directed towards her, was extremely unhappy. Each word pierced her like an arrow: untalented, useless and stupid. She couldn't help but feel completely defeated by those insults, nothing would hurt more than to be insulted on what you are the proudest of. Hui Yin had a huge confidence in her talent that is why she hated Ting Mei for having connections and that is also why being told those insults pained her that much.

Unfortunately for her, she couldn't convince herself that she wasn't a trash and now harbored deep hate towards Ting Mei.

All she could do was wait for another opportunity to appear. She shot an evil glare towards Ting Mei who simply disregarded her.

" I swear that I am going to make you pay, Ting Mei!" swore Hui Yin to herself as she glared intensely at Ting Mei with an expression filled with hatred.

" It was excellent team number 8, you may sit down." disclosed Eva as she guessed what the real situation was.

The rest of the auditions went smoothly but at the end of the day, only four teams passed in total. Including team number 4, number 7, number 8 and number 13.

" Congratulations to all the passing team, you did great today! Tomorrow will be the final audition and the topic will only be announced then. See you tomorrow morning at 9 am and I advise you to sleep early tonight. That is all!" notified Eva before telling the contestants to go home.

Ting Mei waved goodbye at Bao Cheng before reaching out for Eva as she promised.

They both went to a restaurant and started catching up on each other's life.

Supringsly, Eva hasn't managed any other stars after Ting Mei and kept traveling the world. Now that Ting Mei was back, she didn't hesitate a moment before requesting to be her manager once again.

Ting Mei obviously accepted right away. They already knew each other so well and in the management field, Eva was definitely the best.

After concluding their alliance, Eva asked the question that bothered her since the beginning, " Why did you come back to Korea? If I remember well you told me that this place brought you unhappiness..."

Ting Mei slowly sipped her drink and simply answered, " To have a fresh start." and to have my revenge.

Ting Mei said the first part and silently kept the second part to herself.
