50 Criticism

As she reopened her eyes, a cute girl with dazzling eyes popped up. The cool Ting Mei was replaced by an excited and cheerful girl that was lightly skipping to the ring counter.

For the sake of the audition, they installed a small representation of the counter with fake rings that would help the contestants.

Ting Mei arrived at the ring counter and gracefully gestured her invisible husband to quickly come as well.

What was hard in this audition was that you had to act lovey-dovey without a real partner and had to showcase the rings in an enticing way.

" Honey come to look, these rings are beautiful! "

The excited bride happily switched in between rings to find the right one while showing them to her invisible husband in a manner when there wasn't any odd silence. For each ring, sphe would slightly describe it while actually highlighting their prettiest features under the light. After going through half of the rings in roughly five minutes, she chose a specific ring with a cute simple heart-shaped pink diamond. She then pronounced that she wanted to engrave their initials on the ring and supposedly left it to the shop worker. With a huge smile beaming on her face, she walked away and went back to her original spot.

Ting Mei once more lowered her long eyelashes and reopened them, separating from the character and waiting for the criticisms on her performance.

Truthfully, she already knew what the comments are going to be from the fact that Zhao Fan was still sitting there but it was important for her to listen if they really found a flaw in her performance.

Meanwhile, in the judge's eyes, a lovely lady suddenly disappeared. They really loved the lovely lady who made you smile unintentionally and effortlessly by being positive and smiley. However, now, there was only a pretty but indifferent person in front of them.

It was a really surprising audition, they were not really expecting this level of acting for her audition. When they saw her portfolio, they already discovered that she was auditioning for the Heng Empire and wasn't expecting too much from her who still didn't have a company but when she acted, it was like an entirely different person.

Although they wanted to shower her of praises, seeing the mad Zhao Fan sitting near them, they could only restrain themselves and hold back in their praises while trying to point out certain flaws to not offend Zhao Fan.

A judge started clapping and the rest followed by a uncertain applause from the rest of the people in the room.

The same judge started talking about Ting Mei's performance, " It was definitely a great audition that really hits near what we are searching for but I have to say that you didn't respect the lines in the script. I understand that it was maybe changed to help you portray the bride but each line was reviewed by the directors and are important lines. I hope you understand."

Ting Mei gently nodded with an understanding expression.

Following him, another judge pointed out that she merely became the bride and didn't actually showed off acting skills.

This point was definitely contradictory because for acting you need to become the character itself but it was true that from a professional point of view becoming the character wasn't enough and that you needed to apply certain skills as an actor while portraying the character.

However, it was obvious that Ting Mei did display acting skills but the judge was a young lady who didn't seem very knowledgeable in acting and tried to get on Zhao Fan's good side.

The rest of the judge also continued to try to point out flaws while glancing at Zhao Fan's expression.

Not long after, everyone in the room glanced at Zhao Fan, it was her turn to comment on the performance.

During the commentaries of the judges, she had kept her head lowered and clenched her fists: she never thought that Ting Mei had actual acting skills and even worst, excellent ones. When the other critics tried to point out flaws, it was so pathetic that she wanted to laugh out loud but even herself couldn't point out flaws in her performance less pathetic than those already said.

However, who was she? She was Zhao Fan the prestigious daughter of the Zhao Company! She would never admit defeat when she was humiliated by someone! She gritted her teeth and put on her thick-skinned face and yelled at Ting Mei, " Garbage! What a trashy performance! Not only did you waste my precious time but you dirtied my view with you ugly appearance! In a whole five minutes, you only presented half of the rings! You dare to call this acting! This is just rubbish!"

Hearing Zhao Fan spit out those words like she was really wronged, the judges couldn't help but inwardly sigh: not only was her performance nearly perfect yet was called garbage but other contestants took at least ten minutes for their whole performance while only presenting four to five rings because they focused on their invisible husband. Furthermore, if Ting Mei was considered ugly then there wouldn't be a single beauty in this world...
