37 Copycat?

After a long period of applause, everyone sat back down in a happy mood.

" It was fantastic! It was mind-blowing!" shouted Eva in joy as the other judges immediately nodded in agreement.

" The play was so great, that I don't know where to start. Firstly, I have to say that you acted the scene so perfectly, it made me feel like I was living the adventure with the main leads. Especially the end, it was so emotional and I was about to cry with the female lead. Ting Mei, you are absolutely talented! Even though your concept was the same as team number 7, your way of portraying the character was totally different. I can also sense that the man was a bit more naive but at the same time, aware of his surroundings. I have nothing to say about your performance except that it was perfect!" praised Eva in a wonderful spirit.

Da Gang, who was sitting next to Eva, was also truly impressed by the high acting caliber of Ting Mei. Earlier, he couldn't discern her talent and he truly regrets it now. How was he able to miss such a precious gem? During the whole act, his eyes couldn't help but follow Ting Mei all along and it made him feel like he was really watching a girl hopelessly in love. Not that Bao Cheng didn't perform well but when you have already seen many talents, it was easy to guess who had the upper hand and who lead the other actor and in this case, it was obviously Ting Mei. Not only this point but they only had five minutes to prepare and what they showed them was totally out of predictions.

He was truly impressed, " I completely agree with what Miss Eva said, your pair is, by far, the best one I've seen in my entire life! "

The other judges couldn't help but agree but a curious one asked in confusion, " May I ask how did you come up with the idea? Because, I must say, that it was strangely similar to the previous team's idea."

As the judges and the other contestant heard the question, they instantly went quiet. It was true that the concept was oddly similar to the previous team and they passed right after them. Was it really a coincidence or was it planned to take their idea?

During the play, Hui Yin couldn't tear her eyes off from Ting Mei, she had this certain charm to capture everyone's attention, including her. She has never seen someone act as well as her but that didn't mean that she wanted to admit defeat. No matter how great her talent was, she didn't want to admit it and refused to lose to her.

" There is no way this b*tch can do so well, she must have an agreement with the judges, otherwise, how would she be able to impress them so easily with a single tear! She is just a sl*t and those stupid judges got charmed by her so easily because of her looks! Shameless! This girl doesn't know how to feel ashamed?" raged Hui Yin, trying to come up with all faults she can find on Ting Mei: she refused to believe that Ting Mei can be this talented and had so many strong connections.

Although she was in fury, after hearing the judge's question, Hui Yin's heart immediately felt better as she thought of what would happen next to Ting Mei.

" How are you going to respond now?", Hui Yin evilly smiled at the composed Ting Mei.

" May I ask what you are talking about?" asked innocently Ting Mei.

The people in the room was in complete disbelief. What did she mean by her question? Was it not obvious how both of their concepts were similar and that the judges wanted explanations? The only answer they could come up with was that Ting Mei really took the same idea as Hui Yin's team, making her a copycat. If she really did copy the idea, then her performance would instantly go down on good ratings and the judges will obviously refuse somebody as her in the company. They were all confused by Ting Mei's reaction. Doesn't she know she is a dangerous position right now? And she is trying to feign ignorance: which could worsen the consequences!

The judge awkwardly but strictly reposed his question, " How did you come up with this theme? Why is it similar to the previous team's theme? "
