34 Acting Monster

" We will now begin the second round auditions, may I ask team one to step forward," asked Eva Snow.

The first team stepped forward with anxiety resonating in their footsteps and within their breathing pace. Breaking the ice was never a simple task, firstly, you would never know how strong your opponents are, secondly, you are never aware of how the judges criticize and what they take attention on and thirdly if you are the first to perform, your performance will be engraved in other participants minds so are the judges, you are the one that sets the bar, pressure is on.

The first team was composed of a small and cute girl and a man who was extremely well-built and tall, making their contrast overwhelming. This could be considered an advantage or a disadvantage depending on how you put it to use or act it out.

Even though they slightly trembled in fear, the moment the timer started, their spine redressed and they acted out the scene perfectly. In their representation, they portrayed the main characters as the man being extremely manly while the main girl felled for his manliness and tries to be as manly as him, to be of some help and to attract his attention. Like the script, the main girl acted out as if she accidentally displayed affection. However, their exchange was extremely heartwarming and cute to watch, it was a very good representation, they put their difference to a great use and immediately set the bar high. After a round of applause, the most important part was still yet to come.

" Thank you for the lovely performance, I would like to point a few things out but it would help the other teams and I do not want to be seen as I have treated them unfairly. Even though this performance wasn't bad at all, it hasn't reached the caliber we are researching for, this is all I can say for you." disclosed Eva in an indifferent tone before sitting back in her chair.

Both of the teammates closed tightly their fist and eyelids in defeat: How could this be not enough? They only had five minutes, were they supposed to produce a miracle?

As unfair and unrealistic it seemed, this was the true world of industry and the caliber of this company was the highest, if you want to enter, you can't be good, you can't be great, you can't be perfect, you have to be genius!

Team one, regrettably, sat back down and Eva called for the next team to step forward.

The second and third team both passed, they acted out pretty decently but it was still not enough for Eva and the three other judges. Seeing so many talented actors, they obviously won't be impressed by their decent acting, they were seeking more.

Arrived at the fourth team's turn, a delicate lady and an elegant man stepped forward, they were obviously very pleasing to the eye, they were definitely not the prettiest but were extremely pleasant to the eye when paired up together. They both exuded of this sophisticated and calm aura, making everyone entranced by them but as soon as they started acting, their auras instantly changed and they got right into the character.

This time the girl was portrayed as a more carefree girl that wasn't trying to hide her love for the man but still showed a smart and cool side. On the other hand, the man was more characterized as a calm man and not so naive but still had a childish side. The sweet interaction that was playing in front of them shocked them: they were geniuses! Not only did they portrayed extremely well the whole story but also made it their own, they switched the character's real persona by something that fitted them more.

Eva instantly jumped to her feet and approved right away: " Fantastic! Fantastic!"

For the first time, one team was definitely approved by the judging panel, this immediately shocked the rest of the applicants.

Eva felt proud for selecting such wonderful actors but was still very disappointed and sad.

Eva couldn't help but sigh: " As good as they are and that they can reach the recent popular actors, they still can't catch up to Ting Mei... Ting Mei is just too talented! Coming to Korea, where Ting Mei came from, I was hoping to get a more exceptional talent like her but it seems like it's going to be impossible... I have already traveled for more than two years and at the end of the road, the only person that can catch up to Ting Mei and beat her is the one and only Ting Mei herself... Maybe did it seemed like both of them of this team were genius in other staff's eyes but I know, that this is nothing to what the acting monster Ting Mei could do... I will never find a talent near Ting Mei's level in my entire life, but at least she is back! I can't let her go this time! Ting Mei is an acting monster and nobody could beat her, that is for sure!"
