54 Rare Case

"What time is it now?" Luke muttered as his hands start rummaging through the couch to find his phone. Upon sensing his phone, he reached out his hand and picked it up. He then lit up the screen and noticed it was still 5 o'clock. Lifting his head a little, Luke peeked at Aisyl, who still calmly asleep.

"What an unruly girl," Luke shook his head and started casting control to the blankets, which probably have been kicked by Aisyl during the sleep. After gaining the blanket's control, he placed it upon Aisyl's body. As winter gradually comes, the surrounding air becomes more chilly, and it's easy for people to catch a cold during this time. Though he found it a bit ridiculous if a strong Transcender like Aisyl would catch a cold, however, prevention is always better, right?

After successfully covering Aisyl, Luke wants to try to fall back asleep but finds he couldn't do so. Tossing his body back and forth, Luke finally let out a groan of annoyance. Switching on his phone, Luke decides to spend the remaining time before the sun's arrival by playing a game.

Upon entering the game, Luke immediately selected the normal match since playing ranked would only make him boiling in rage.

An hour simply flew by as Luke immersed in his game. He only snapped out from his focus upon a knock sounded from the entrance door. Glancing at Aisyl, who still calmly sleeping even after the repeated knock, Luke proceeds to bundle her body within the blanket to prevent whoever entered see her state now.

"Come in!" Luke speaks after placing his phone down. Then, a woman wearing a doctor uniform stepped inside, followed by a nurse.

"It's you again! Are you really liked being in the hospital so much?" The doctor shaking her head helplessly at Luke, who already entered the hospital three times.

The first time he entered the hospital was due to the wound given by Alex. The second was because of him constantly using Time Manipulation that eventually led his body to receive inner injuries, which probably severe since the man behind the system even reprimand him. The third one happens now.

Scratching his head embarrassedly, Luke said, "It's not my fault either. Trouble keeps befalling on me without my consent."

"That's why you should be more careful next time." The doctor advised as she scrolled through Luke's health report.

After chatting regarding his health condition, the doctor finally left after dropping a prescription to make his condition in better shape. As he turned around, the blankets slipped a little and Aisyl's head perked up from it. Rubbing her eyes, Aisyl yawningly said, "Guwd Morning~."

"Good morning too. You sure really enjoyed your sleep." Luke smiled and placed the prescription at the nearest desk.

"What do you expect from an injured person?" Aisyl rebuked before she rose from lying position and goes to the bathroom.

While Aisyl went to the lavatory, Luke went to the hospital canteen to buy some food for both of them. As it was still early, the queue wasn't that much, and Luke able to afford the food within a couple of minutes of waiting. Upon handing his badge and counting how much the food cost, Luke wanted to shed tears but nothing comes out.

'This is clearly a robbing,' Luke thought himself as he got furious about how expensive the food is. It cost him 8 credit points just for two packages of breakfast. 10 CREDIT POINTS! He could buy several foods at LSA Cafeteria with that amount of money.

Sighing to himself, Luke retreated to his room with a downcast mood. When he entered his room, Aisyl was no longer in her girl appearance and already changed into her usual self.

"You changed so quickly," Luke said with a surprised tone and placed the bag containing foods onto the table.

"Yeah, it would be a disaster if someone saw me in girl state at your room," Aisyl explained while her hands begin wandered to the bag and opened it in curiosity. Her eyes suddenly glimmered in excitement and proceeded to lick her lips in hunger, "Hehe, you really such a considerate friend."

"Only that?" Luke pretended to be disappointed.

Aisyl looked up to Luke and pondered for a moment before spreading her palms while giggling, "Five-Stars rating for you!"

"I almost forgot! Did you have another ability, Luke? When you rescued me yesterday, I feel something strange." Aisyl inquired after finishing her food.

"What strange? What did you feel?" Luke asked in bafflement. It can't be that Aisyl also gets affected by the Time Manipulation, right?

"I couldn't remember it clearly. It happened when you switched your place with me. That moment, your movement looks faster than usual and I also sensed things around us seem slowed down." Aisyl said as she recalled her memories from yesterday's night.

"Really? Then how about now?" Luke asked as his hand moved toward Aisyl's palm and gripped it lightly before casting a Time Acceleration ability.

As soon as Luke voiced his question, Aisyl felt her heartbeats and breath quickened. She tried to move her hand but ended up paused in mid-air due to shock. Turning her head to Luke, she stared at Luke as if he was a monster, "What's this? Your ability could boost my speed? I thought your only ability was telekinesis."

Speed Boost? Though her description wasn't wrong, it wasn't true either. In the end, Luke finally decides to tell her the truth. In the future, his Time ability would definitely be revealed anyway. Hence, why bother lied to Aisyl now?

"Um...As you suspect, I got myself another ability around a few days ago." Luke confirmed her doubt.

"What?? That's the first case I've ever heard." Aisyl said as she covered her mouth in astonishment. As Aisyl said, there hasn't been any case that Transcender posses two different abilities. Even if two Transcender gets married and had offspring, their child would only inherit one of their parents' ability. Therefore, hearing Luke's statement about him possessing two power really shocked Aisyl.

"Haha, I'm probably just lucky."

Aisyl rolled her eyes at Luke's answer, "Then your luck must be on God Tier. Anyway, is it really a speed boost ability you got?"

"It's not that simple, but you can assume that way." Luke didn't know how to explain Time Acceleration work since the ability didn't show many aspects of the Time itself. If it were Time Stop, Luke'd probably be able to explain it more thoroughly. But, Time Acceleration? Meh...

"Ohhh...It's hard to believe that a young man I saved back then would pop out into a dual-ability wielder." Aisyl said blankly which drew Luke's curiosity.

"Save? What are you talking about?" Luke asked in puzzlement.

"You really did forget about me, huh? Say, did you think you'll be here if it were not for my pity on you that day? I was the girl you threaten when you escape from Yurnero's pursue." Aisyl pursed her lips when she thought about how daring that man can be for trying to intimidate her.

Luke fell into deep thought for a while before abruptly pointing his finger at Aisyl, "It's you who gave me that miraculous pill!"

"Ha, you still remembered it after all." Aisyl smiled after realizing Luke didn't forget about her good deed.

"Of course, because of it, my illness went away instantly," Luke said admirably.

"Haha, that was a reward from the task I've taken before." Aisyl said as she glanced at her wristwatch before stood up, "By the way, Luke, I gotta go. My math class is about to start in twenty minutes."

Just because LSA was filled by only a Transcender, doesn't mean it lacks people that have an interest in a normal affair such as economic, science, math, etc. There are still Transcenders who had a dream of being an office worker, but at the same time, they also wanted to hone their ability. If their ability was considered ordinary and had no future, being a normal worker is the most plausible option. Thus, that was the reason LSA was the best place for that purpose. LSA could serve as a school and military school at the same time. Although, compared to the real military school, Academies on Aine lacked in many aspects such as strictness, experience, and battle technique.

Since his health condition already recovered much after resting for a night. Luke also planned to leave the hospital sooner. Hence, when he heard Aisyl had a class, Luke didn't think twice before proposed, "Let's leave together."

Aisyl first inspected Luke from head to toe before replying hesitantly, "Are you sure?"

"Of course. But before that, can I do a sort of an experiment on you? I promise it wouldn't take long." Luke persuaded.

"Why are you giving me that plea face, I'd definitely help you if it weren't some kind of harmful experiment."

"Thank you. I'll apply a speed boost ability on your body. During the process, please share all your feelings about it. Don't try to endure it alone and tell me immediately if you feel any uncomfortable." Luke warned.

He was curious about to whom the consequences of Time Acceleration would befall. Since this is the first case any other person other than him can perceive Time Acceleration, Luke wasn't going to drop this matter lightly.

"Yeah, yeah, quit nagging already. Just cast that spell on me." Aisyl urged impatiently.
