THE BOY WITH THE DIFFERENT COLORED EYES

After she arrived at the club, she hurriedly went to her locker and took her bow and arrows then she headed to a small crowd of kids. A big muscular man was talking to them, he was explaining a new training program that everyone, no exceptions, should follow. That man was Emerald's archery teacher, he was really strict but also fair. His sharp brown eyes fell upon Emerald whom was absent until a while ago. He didn't like it when his students were late for class, he thought it was irresponsible and that they didn't really cared about his archery lessons.

-Everyone dismissed, except you Emerald, I want to talk to you. Emerald left a small sigh, she was excepting that she would get yelled at because she was late. <oh boy here it comes the don't late speech> she said inside her head.

-I know I'm late and I'm really sorry mister Stuart but something important came up in the last second.

-Even so, I would like you to notify me when you're going to be late. You have to be more responsible, if that was to happen at your work, it wouldn't go unnoticed and your boss wouldn't go easy on you, though I suppose you already know that since you are a part timer.

As she was training her mind traveled back to that boy with those beautiful eyes and to Lucas. Who were they? Both of them were wearing school uniforms she didn't recognize. Thought she did recognize the symbols of their uniforms. She knew those symbols because she really liked magic and she had read plenty of books about magic to know them, she thought it was weird and kind of cool to have agent "magical "symbols as their school symbol. Lucas had the symbol of supernatural while the other boy had the symbol of darkness. She understood the reason behind Luca's symbol, they had powers so they weren't much of a human, but why will the other boy, the boy who saved her life be having the symbol of darkness? Was he a bad guy?

-Naaa, He couldn't be, after all he saved my life and London's as well. She said unconsciously.

-Emerald what are mumbling about? One of her classmates asked her.

-eh? It's nothing.

-alright, if you say so. Though I've got to say today you're spacing out a lot. I'm not going to ask for details but is it because of a guy. She asked her with sparkling eyes.

-Yeah kinda, it's a long story that has to do with me London and two other boys.

-I'm all ears. She said while pointing at her ears.

-Emerald, Laila this isn't a coffee shop so please focus at your archery and leave the chit-chat for later.

-Yes Mr. Stuart. Both girls said with one voice. They giggled at that.

-I would love to share Laila but it's a long story and complicated, besides Mr. Stuart has his eyes on me today, if you know what I mean.

-Don't worry about it. She told her while she was shooting an arrow.

After her class was over, Emerald was exhausted. All she wanted at the moment was a bath and her bed. She was so tired that she barely stood on her feet.

As she was about to turn a boy with a hood came from nowhere and grab her hand pushed her in a small alley and closed her mouth. She was paralyzed with fear, she couldn't move or scream. Cold sweat started running down at her face. The man kept looking on his right, he saw two passing figures. She looked at him it was the heterochromia (when one iris is a different color from the other) boy.

-It's you. She said in surprise.

-Sorry if I scared you, but I had to or they were going to find you. He said to her, but his eyes never left the empty road out of his vision field.

-I can't go in details, but as you have already realized you are special, you have powers that others would dream to have and that's exactly what they want. They want to recruit you and your friend, because of your abilities.

-Who wouldn't? suddenly a man grabbing you and bringing you in an alley? Most of the people would be scared, so that's a pretty normal feeling. He said while giving her an apologetic smile, then he turned his hand back to the empty road.

She couldn't take her eyes away from his, his eyes captivated her. He was pretty handsome too. His hair was black and half shaved, in his shaved side he had a small lightning. He wasn't very tall, maybe only few points taller than her, he was actually a bit sort for a boy. He was very muscular as well. She was staring at him, analyzing him.

-You know it's rude to stare. He suddenly said stopping her thoughts and making her blush.

-This coming from a guy that basically kidnapped me. She immediately responded to his comment, while trying to hide her red face.

-You've got a good point there. He gave her a fake smile, he had a sad expression on his face and she knew it wasn't because of her comment. She unconsciously asked him.

It pained him the fact that they were going to be enemies soon.

-It's okay. Look you have to persuade London to go with them. Those people can help you with your powers. They are actually the only ones that can help you.

His necklace had the form of a golden sword, and a beautiful dragon was wrapped around it. It's nothing much but it's the only thing I've got right now, I promise I'll get you a better one when I see you again.

-I don't want to, I like this one. Don't expect me to give it back either. She said with a smile, her smile came back but only for a second. Too bad that's a departing gift.

-Yeah too bad... He agreed with her. It's getting late, we should probably get going.

As they were walking none of them was willing to say anything. They just walked together in complete silence until they reached the orphanage.

-Well this is me. She said with a sad smile on her face, she noticed his sad expression, he was unwilling to talk. Goodbye then. She finally said. She turned around and start walking towards the orphanage.

-Do you want me to erase your memories of me? He finally found the courage to ask her.

-Jay. She called out to him. He turned around and she hugged him. She was holding him tight as if he was going to disappear right away. He froze for a second and then he hugged her back

-Thank you. she told him with tears streaming down at her cheeks. <what have I done? Why did I come close to you? why did you had to be the way you are? Kind and sweet. You made me fall for you, you know> he thought.

-I've to go. He said, then he pulled away, lightnings appeared in his eyes and he became smoke, like he was never there. Emerald wiped her tears then took a deep breath and went inside.
