4 Chapter 4 - The Beginning of the Tournament

As the outer disciples gather in the arena, the ugly-looking middle-aged man explains the rules of the tournament. It will be a series of one-on-one battles, and the winner of each match will advance to the next round. The last person standing will be declared the winner of the tournament and will be awarded with the highest ranking among the outer disciples, along with the resources and the opportunity to cultivate at the Tower of Ultimate Bliss.

Xin Yang looks around the arena, sizing up his opponents. He knows that most of them are not as strong as him, but he can't let his guard down. He needs to be focused and stay alert if he wants to win the tournament.

Despite not participating yet, Xin Yang observes the tournament with great interest, he studies the techniques used by the other disciples, the strategies they use and the weaknesses they show, it's all valuable information for him to use in the future.

As the tournament progresses, he sees that most of the participants are not as strong as he thought they were, making him confident in his abilities. He also notices the weaknesses in the top contenders, and he starts to plan his strategy for when he joins the tournament.

He is determined to win the tournament and prove himself as the strongest outer disciple in the sect. He knows that the path ahead will be difficult, but he is ready for the challenge. He has the "Void Shattering Fists" and the determination to become a powerful cultivator in this world.

As Xin Yang stood in the arena, he watched as the other outer disciples competed in their matches. He couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement as he watched the intense battles unfold before him. Some of the disciples were skilled, while others were powerful, but all of them were determined to win the tournament.

As he watched, Xin Yang turned to his friend Song Chang. "So, this is the Sect Tournament," he said. "What's the big deal about it?"

Song Chang looked at him with a surprised expression. "Didn't I tell you about it before? The Sect Tournament is a big deal, especially for outer disciples like us," he said. "It's a ranking tournament, and the higher the ranking, the more resources we get. Plus, the top three can cultivate at the Tower of Ultimate Bliss. That's where the real power is."

Xin Yang nodded, taking in the information. "I see. So, it's all about power and resources," he said.

"Yes, but it's also about proving ourselves," Song Chang added. "We're all fighting to prove that we're the strongest and worthiest to be a part of this sect."

As they talked, the matches continued, and the tension in the arena grew. One of the outer disciples, a young man named Liu, was fighting against a powerful opponent. Liu was skilled, but his opponent was stronger, and it looked like Liu was going to lose. But just as his opponent was about to land the final blow, Liu unleashed a powerful technique that caught his opponent off guard, and he emerged victorious.

Another match pitted a young woman named Mei against an opponent who was known for his brute strength. Mei was small and slender, but she was quick and agile, and she used her speed to outmaneuver her opponent. She landed precise strikes and managed to defeat her much larger opponent with ease.

The matches continued, and Xin Yang watched in awe as the outer disciples fought with everything they had. He knew that he would have to be at the top of his game if he wanted to win the tournament. As the final match approached, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. He was ready to prove himself and earn his spot at the Tower of Ultimate Bliss.

The final match of the first round of the Sect Tournament had arrived, and the arena was filled with a sense of anticipation. The number one outer disciple, a young man named Chen, was facing off against the number two outer disciple, a young woman named Li. Both of them were powerful cultivators, and the match was expected to be intense.

As the match began, Chen and Li stood facing each other, both in their battle stances. Chen, known for his brute strength and powerful punches, started off with a technique called "Mountain Crushing Fist", a high-rank technique that focused on raw power. Li, known for her speed and agility, dodged the attack with ease and countered with a technique called "Lightning Speed Strike", a mid-rank technique that relied on quick and precise strikes.

The battle continued, and the two fighters exchanged blow after blow. Li's speed and agility proved to be a formidable match for Chen's raw power. Chen, however, was not one to back down easily and unleashed another high-rank technique called "Raging Inferno Punch", a technique that imbued his fist with fiery energy. Li was able to dodge this attack as well but took a minor hit on her shoulder.

As the match progressed, both fighters were showing signs of fatigue. They had been exchanging powerful techniques, and it was taking a toll on their energy reserves. Li, however, was able to maintain her speed and agility, thanks to her technique "Eagle Eye Meditation", a low-rank technique that allowed her to conserve her energy and focus on her opponent's movements.

Chen, on the other hand, was starting to slow down, and Li saw her opportunity. She unleashed her final technique, a high-rank technique called "Dragon's Fury Kick", a powerful kick imbued with a dragon's energy. Chen was caught off guard and was unable to defend himself, taking the full force of the attack. He hit the ground with a thud, and the crowd erupted in cheers as Li was declared the winner of the match.

Xin Yang watched the final match with a sense of excitement. He knew that he would have to be at the top of his game if he wanted to defeat Li and become the top-ranked outer disciple. He was ready for the challenge, but before he could step into the arena, the Sect Leader announced that the tournament would continue tomorrow.

As the tournament continues, Xin Yang will have to face off against Li and other powerful opponents. Will he be able to emerge victorious and secure the top spot? Will he be able to master the "Void Shattering Fists" and unleash its full power? Only time will tell.
