4 Childhood

In her early life Linette had only one thought. She must get stronger, she needs to train harder than ever before. When Linette turned 2 she began her mage training in secret.

Once someone becomes a toddler they can start training their body. At that point in their life the body was finally developed enough. That being said it was common to start as a 4 or 5 years old at the earliest. A 2 or 3 year old simply couldn't fully comprehend the concepts and wouldn't get anywhere. In fact all the misunderstanding might make it more difficult for the child to grasp the Body Magic stage.

This is the stage Linette was working on, once she could sense her mana and disperse it through her body she will have reached the Body Magic stage. However the mana in Linette's new body was different than mana in her old body. It had a different temperant, it was more wild and unpredictable. It was also located in a different place than before so trying to find it was difficult. Linette needed to more study her body's mana.

Besides her attempts at mana sensing Linette had also worked on gathering information in this world. As the top echelon of the Middle realm they heard big news from the Upper realm. The most wide spread of which was the 108 year old genius Ebony from the Blaze Sect whom could not be compared to anyone. Ebony in many people's mind was an existence close to god. Ebony was portrayed as generous, kind, strong, brave, and was looking out for everyone's well being. Of course what had vaulted her to such fame was her speech when she'd officially become an adult. Ebony's words were solidly engraved in many people's hearts it went like this.

'The Saphire cloud realms are small. We are mages, pursuers of knowledge, yet how can we remain trapped here? Where is our spirit? There are many realms just like ours we must travel to them. I know one fundamental truth about these realms. If we are strong enough we will be able to feel the pulse of another realm . I learned this in an ancient book which held immense knowledge.' Such a statement had blown others away. The idea that there was more in existence than themselves was an unpopular opinion. Many debated it and disagreed. However the Ivory Library officially came out and said such knowledge true and is well documented.

The Ivory Library went on further to say they will release many books to the public which without doubt confirm the existence of other realms. As the ultimate authority on knowledge this shut a good portion of people up, but of course not all.

The speech of course went on and was a massive turning point for many.

'It is in such thoughts of exploration that I must call all of us together. I call on my fellow great powers of the Upper Realm, the Blossom Saints, Ivory Librarians, the Middle Realm, the Lower Realm, and every person of great or small power to help. I intend to create a neutral organization which funnels resources into talents to help them grow their strength so such goals are possible. We will explore the Sapphire Cloud Realms looking for ancient clues, and we will promote a unity that allows us all to advance.

'As of this moment, I have asked the Blaze Sect to contribute to us, the Crystalized Wave faction, Mounted Earth faction, the Whirl Sect, and finally the Tool Makers Alliance to join. They have all agreed towards such cause, and will remain neutral with all involved. It is a time of progress, no longer can we fall back. We are called the Timeless Peak Institute.' Most everyone joined, any force large or small would be bullied if they didn't.

There are only a couple exceptions. The Blossom Saints, and the Ivory Library were wholly unconcerned with the issue as they had very strict missions they were pursuing. The other exception were forces too small to really join. So anything that was weak and/ or under 20 people didn't usually join. This meant a majority of the lower realm didn't join, and for the most part were unaware of Timeless Peak Institute. A small percentage of the middle realm organizations didn't join. Almost no organization regardless of size hadn't joined in the Upper Realm.

The Blossom Saints and the Ivory Library were interesting organizations and they existed in all three realms they were ancient, and elusive. The Blossom Saints directly enforced the laws of the world which they had declared since ancient time. The Ivory Library was a library which made information available to the public, however they had a far more expansive collection reserved only for librarians and members.

Ebony had arguably become one of the most powerful people in the realm. Tens of Billions worked for her or under her. Linette understood only by becoming an Elemental Sense mage would she succeed in her revenge. There was of course the problem of dealing with Ebony's poison and troublesome artifact. She would need to study the art of poison and delve into ancient tools to effectively counter them.

That being said, at the moment that was of little priority, Linette was merely trying to use her mana which was frustrating. It was so different than her past life, it was as if she were starting from scratch again. Linette realized it would be a couple of years before she reached the Body Magic Stage.

She trained fervently.

Of course Linette's antisocial habits worried her parents. Since Linette would spend hours in her room by herself seemingly sleeping while sitting.

Unlike most rambuncious 2 year olds Linette was very calm. In order not to give her true age away Linette hardly said anything, she didn't want to sound too intelligent. Perhaps it was lucky that Linette was killed when she was 18 because she wasn't too wise as to be unable to hide it, yet she wasn't too young mentally that she was unable to control herself.

One thing Charlette often did with Linette was take her outside to the magnificent garden that surrounded the house. Linette seemed to enjoy it. Despite the large size of the garden they weren't in the country side, infact they were right in the middle of a bustling city. With a population of nearly a million this was the capital of the province Charlette's family ruled over. This meant that Linette was in line to be the governer of the province but she was at a distant 13th place. Charlette's father is the governer, Charlette had the chance to be the governer, but she religated her right for sucession because it was 'too boring' in her opinion. Charlette much prefered business ventures, she had created a couple of very popular chain stores which stretched across the kingdom.

"Linette, are you hungry? I brought lunch."Charlette tended to her daughter.

"Mhmm." Linette simply responded. Opening the basket Charlette gave her daughter a sandwhich which she'd made herself from the finest ingrediants around. Naturally it was delicious. Happy Charlette smiled and then helped herself to some food.

Charlettes dazzling green eyes made Linette feel very at home with her. They reminded Linette of her orginal mother's deep emerald green eyes. Perhaps this is the reason she bonded more deeply with Charlette than anyone else in her family. Her brothers were kind and each swore to protect her. In contrast her father constantly teased her, however he was very blunt sometimes. While Linette enjoyed her life so far she still only had one thought in her head. 'I must get stronger, I must get my revenge on Ebony'. Revenge entailed ruining Ebony's life, not killing her. After all Linette had never killed someone before and believe it to be an extremely evil crime.

The afternoon was spent in the garden under the shade of a tree training. Charlette had attempted to question Linette, but failed miserably. She truly didn't understand what was wrong with her child.

That evening after dinner Linette was sent to bed, but she could hear her parents arguing in the room which was connected to hers. It was the nursery room, and in a year or two Linette would get her own private room, but for now her parents could hear Linette's voice if she cried for some reason.

"No, I don't want to take Linette to the doctor. She's just a quiet child she'll grow out of it." It was Linette's father. The deep voice gave it away.

"You don't understand, she's so solemn. She doesn't speak much, she doesn't play with toys nor less other kids. Something is wrong, I want to know what is wrong!" A higher pitch voice argued, it was Charlette

"Nothing is wrong, she's always been this quiet." Linette's father blantly denied Charlette's claim.

"But she's two! There isn't any reason for her to be so withdrawn."

"I don't want her going to the doctor, if people think she's an idiot how will she live?"

"She's not an idiot!" Charlette defended vehemently.

"You're the one telling me she's not developing as she should be! There's something wrong with her brain. I think she's fine. But if you're okay with our daughter being labeled as slow for the rest of her life..."

"It won't necessarily be that way! I could ask my grandfather to get a private doctor sworn to secrecy to check her out." Trying to find a compromise Charlette mentioned her solution.

"In that case only your whole family will know. How will she ever hold any prestige in such a place. We know they only care about the talented. If it weren't for your golden touch in business, they would've never allowed us to be together." There was a slight quiver in his voice.

"THAT'S NOT RELEVENT! I know YOU'RE still bitter that my family didn't think you were good enough for me, but how is that relevent to our daughter. I know my grandfather well, and he is not a man to spread rumors."

"Bullshit!" Not caring to listen Linette's father was just working himself up more and more.

"What if her life is danger? What if doing something now can help improve her future. Do you not care about your daughter. Of what relevance is her reputation as an toddler? It will naturally change with time. I think you're just being too stubborn!"

"You're trying to guilt me into it now?" Shaking his head, he let out a deep sigh. "This is getting us no where. I'm going to stay in the guest bedroom tonight. We'll talk about this tomorrow." He turned and left.

"Running away aren't you?" Charlette yelled at him. Linette's father merely clenched his hands and walked away. After he had left Charlette began crying. The sound of her weeping was very silent, but Linette could hear it. The sound made Linette uncomfortable.

Eventually Charlette fell asleep, only then could Linette fall asleep as well. Linette felt disconcerted though, she had tried her best to act normal, but clearly something was off. Linette hadn't put too much thought into her cover. Her main priority was to get stronger and training took up most of Linette's time.

Linette knew she needed to be clever, if things were suspicious than who knew what would happen? In the future Linette would need to do a better job of convincing others of her normalcy. Then again Linette had no intention of staying under the radar. Much like her previous life she intended to rise up as the genius of the generation. Linette would probably even join Ebony's institute, of course her end goal would be to destroy it. Linette knew that the peaceful institute was really a gathering of an army to start Ebony's grand plan of ruling the galaxy. Honestly Linette wondered who Ebony was before to have such grand plans.

After agonizing over it for the entire night Linette had come up with an excuse for her behavior. She was going to be a genius toddler with high comprehension, whom had of course misread social cues. This was about the best Linette could think of, rather than presenting herself as an adult, a mature toddler would be fine.
