34 Chapter 33

One Month After. 

The Villa was silent.  Lana was startled awake by her nightmares. She has been having them for a month, now. Since Daniel's disappearance, all she dreamt about was him being in danger. She glanced at the tiny alarm Clock by the bedside table.

It's 4 O'clock, past midnight.

Lana's phone lit up.

Followed by the iPhone ringtone. The cell phone was particularly loud and conspicuous in the quiet and still room.

"Hello." She was frigid for a second before answering the call. It was the number of the police officer in charge of the case. She had filed a case of a missing person, a day after he did not come back like he wrote in the note. She sat straight up and brisk herself to listen to whatever news, he had for her.

The serious voice came on the other side without warning, "Ma'am, sorry for calling you this late, but a case was reported not long ago and it seems to be your husband's car. I reckon that he might have met with an accident."
