1 It Begins Now

Long ago there existed three sisterly deities that bestowed the world with life. The youngest of the three, Atelia, granted knowledge. The middle one, Phila, granted willpower. The eldest, Ela, granted emotion. These three deities ruled over the humans and all creatures alike. Everyone and everything highly respected and loved these individuals, that is, until a fourth appeared.

Their name lost and forbidden to utter, the deity made way to unleash all sin into the world. Wars raged and blood was shed, the three original deities had to sacrifice everything even their lives to finally put an end to the long battle. Though, sin still managed to prevail and lurk in the world. Thousands and thousands of years have passed and now...

----------------------

It was but in an instant.

"W-what the hell?!"

The young man was walking home from school. It was a warm and beautiful day, though, as he was walking home, a bright white light had enveloped him. Not being able to see or do anything in the moment. Suddenly being taken here. Well, where ever this place is. The sunlight coming from the stained glass on the sides of the building had been illuminating the room.

'A Church? No, a Cathedral for it's size.' he thought.

He looked around and took notice that there was people in clads if armor surrounding him, in the front there was another group of people in white and golden robes. The one that looked the most important was old, he had a large pope hat. Turning to face them as he wondered what was going on.

"Just...what is going on?"

"It seems we have made a mistake. Young man, I apologize on my behalf as it seems we have summoned you on accident. We tried summoning a hero. We noticed we did the summoning circle wrong a little too late."

Feeling a bit worried but he was eager to know the answer to something, since he knew by reading fantasy books of this scenario. The hesitation was there but still managed to ask in the end.

"Am I able to go back?"

The old man closed his eyes and looked down as he shook his head.

"We have no means to be able to send you back. Sadly, you cannot return to your homeland."

Looking down in dissatisfaction, everything was going too rapidly for him that he couldn't quite take it all in. For now, all he could do was accept it.

"The status board above you indicates that you have no magical power or great raw physical strength. Even worse it seems that you do not have any skills."

Raising his head a little taking notice of this so called 'status board'. It looked like a hologram board of sorts and it was blue.

'Hmm...it seems to portray the basic information such as my name and...level? The 'skill' section was indeed empty. This all seemed way too surreal for me.' these thoughts went through his head as he looked at the status board.

Unexpectedly the two large doors from behind burst open with a loud bang. In came more people in clads of amor but these looked more noble and you could tell they were stronger. In the middle, a woman with long silky blond hair came in. Her dazzling blue and golden dress waved gently. You could hear her heels clap at the ground as she walked forward in the young mans direction. Her eyes looked like they were emeralds with that beautiful green color as they shined brilliantly. Without a doubt this woman was beautiful.

Everyone in the room instantly bowed down to her, with that alone the young man could tell she was important.

"Is this...the hero?"

"No your highness, there was a mistake on our part and we failed the summon..."

She looked dissatisfied but gave a slight smile as she looked at the young man.

"Erm...who might you be?" he asked wondering who this person was.

"My name is Anne Esmelth, the Queen of this Kingdom. Unfortunately, the King could not come as he has matters to attend to. Though it was better that way as he would be greatly agitated by the outcome of his proposal for a summon. As I would assume our courtly Bishop has informed you that it's impossible to send you back home, correct?"

"Yes, that's indeed so. Though, I haven't really gotten used to that. All the people I left back home would be really worried about my disappearance. Could you at least tell me as to what I should be doing now or as to what this place is?"

"Ah yes forgive me. You are currently in the Middle of the continent known as Feroa, also known as the Kingdom of Regelia. Humans only live here. A mass amount of different races live on this continent thought...there isn't much space which is why we're at a constant battle for territory. The continent is surrounded by a vast sea.

"There seems to be more Continents around but...we have no means to travel which is why we currently stay in this one. We don't know the dangers of the unexplored area anywho. To the South of this continent lays the Elves, South East the Beastmen, East the Lizardman, North East the Dwarves, North the Dragonkin, North West the Demons, In the West Angels reside in the sky but below lie the Giants, South West Ex-Machina. We Humans in the middle of the continent and Sirens in the Sea. There are more mixtures in between or in the same place but they're too many to go one by one."

The young man looked surprised to know that there was more than the human race living in this world. Though, he should have already gotten the jist that things won't be normal from now on.

"If you were the hero that we were expecting we would have you help us in this time of need. We have agitation in our Kingdom and there is tension that there might be another war with the other races, though for now everything seems like the calm before the storm. The only thing I can do for you is register you to the adventurers guild, and give you proper housing. To set you off I may as well give you this as well."

She turned around and called out to one of her knights and one came through the door with something that looked like a briefcase. Once they were close to the Queen they opened them up as they faced the young man. What was inside glowed brightly. It seemed to be a small orb with a different mixture of colors. There was only one, which was clearly meant for him.

She raised her hands up and faced it in the direction of the orb.

"This is called an Affinity Orb, these take in your mana that every living being in this world has and it shapes it into the best weapon befitting you. It turns your deepest desire into a weapon. For example if you were a person that wants to be strong enough to protect those you care about it could turn into a shield. There's many possibilities with it and it's a very valuable magical item to have. We'll be giving you one. Though they'll only take shape once you go out and take on a quest. So once you're registered with the adventurers guild be sure to have it with you."

He took it and stared at the orb intently as if it were captivating with it's rainbow coloring.

"Now then, shall we get going? Well, i'll actually hand you over to the Knights so they can show you around the town. I have to get going now as the Queen of this Kingdom can't be just idling around. I wish you good luck in your adventures and make the best of your new life here.

This was finally the start of my new life in this fantasy world, and I was anxious to get it started.
