11 Chapter 011 - Getting Out Of Elvelen

When Yu woke up, he felt odd. He didn't seem to have a cold or anything like that. He just had a weird sense in him. He looked out on top of the balcony of the room he was in. All he saw was happy go-lucky people outside in the market and in shops and other places. He didn't see anything wrong. He turned and got out of the balcony area to get his things. He quickly picked them up and headed out of the Inn, after all he is pretty close to the catacombs now.

He went out of the Inn and started walking down towards the front gate. He heard people yelling not too far from him so he kept walking until he heard some sirens. He turned to look at what was going on but there was just a couple of policemen stopping their simple dispute. As Yu got to the front gate, the guards wouldn't let him leave. They said he wasn't allowed to leave. Yu was thinking that something very suspicious was going on. He turned around and decided that he would have to find a different way out of here. As soon as he thought that, a man walked up to him with ragged clothes and long hair.

The man said, "If you need a way out, I can help you..."

Yu says, "yes sir, I would like to know a way out of this city."

"Then follow me, young man." Replies the man.

The man with long hair started walking into a direction in the city. Yu quietly followed him until they reached a house that looked just like the rest of them. The man opened the door and closed it behind Yu.

They were in a living room. There were two other rooms and an upstairs. The room on the left was a bedroom and the right one a bathroom.

The man had Yu follow him into a bedroom where there was a trapdoor on the ground.

Man with long hair, "This leads just outside the gate where no one knows about it besides me. When you go through to the other side, remember to make it look like it blends in with the forest. If they found out about it, I'd be executed."

"No problem." Says Yu, "I'll make sure to make it blend in as long as I'm able to keep using it."

Man with long hair, "anytime, young man."

Yu goes down into the trapdoor, on the ladder. It led down a couple feet. After he reached the bottom it was just a hallway leading straight. It was not too long of a hallway, since where the old man led him was near the walls of the city anyway.

The end of the hallway was just another ladder that led up and the trapdoor opened up in some small forest greenery near the walls of the city. Yu hopped out and made sure the trapdoor was closed securely and looked like it belonged in the forest.

"Alright where to go now." Says Yu while pulling out the map he got from Senon. He put the map up and followed it around the city walls without getting noticed. As soon as he got around it, he could relax. He felt that the city he had just passed was some place under a curse. He just had some ulterior motive for that city.

And so Yu kept walking on for the next couple hours of daylight. It was becoming dark and so Yu knew he had to stop and try to make a makeshift house of the forest leaves and such. And so he did, he used large leaves from the mega trees in the forest that fell on the ground. He used large sticks that he also found to put into the ground and then using the leaves to pile them on top of the sticks he put in the ground. He eventually came to make a little makeshift home. He dropped his stuff inside of it and made a leaf bed as well. He then went and fell asleep in hurry for the excitement of the catacombs the next day...
