"so Haruto, who's this young lady?"

asked the hokage, guessing the situation.

looking over at the said young lady she is looking at me as well.

"bad time?" she asks, though I suspect she already knows the answer.

"bad time" I answer, after which she excused herself and left for her room...which was right next door.

(okay this is not awkward at all.)

walking back to where I was standing, there was a silence before hokage ignored that I just did not answer his question and continued what he was about to say before the disturbance.

"Haruto, I want you to win against every single opponent in the third test, if you manage that, not only will we get more missions but other nations will be wary of up-and-coming great shinobi," he said while taking off his hat.

I stay silent for a while, pondering about what he said, and I don't like it at all, it might mean revealing more than I'm comfortable with.

"won't it be better if all the Konoha genin be in the last match?" I ask.

"yes, but since you are in the bingo book more attention will be on you, "black wolf" and I want you to show what you can do, just do enough to win, im not asking more," he said in a tone of finality.

it's an order to win the chunin exams.

"very well, I just hope I won't get another nickname out of this" I respond with a sigh.

I sigh a lot these days, that can't be good.

....wonder if I master all the elements can I combine them to make the truth-seeking balls?.

shaking the random thoughts out of my head I agree with Hokage.

I'll do what I can to win, then go to wolves to get my body ready for their version of the sage mode and coincidentally be there when Akatsuki attack the Suna for Gaara, If they attack, im not sure anymore.

after seeing off my two guests I start to ponder.

why did things change? it wasn't long before I came to a reason I suspect is the most suitable.

the "cannon" was a show that was built on a plot, for people to watch for interest and entertainment.

while here, it won't be a guarantee, much like the multiverse theory.

sasuke may not leave, naruto is getting trained before he meets jiraya heck even sakura is not useless.

sighing at my predicament, I give up on thinking so deep.

ah, the day of the final test...and the day when I get raised to A-rank threat and that would be the fastest someone got raised in ranks, no? it's only been 6 months.

getting out of my room in the inn I head over to the exit.

there seeing the team from Suna, and my team.

the other team is in a conversation, well everyone except Gaara he's just standing there.

exchanging nods with my teammates we head out.

ah, crap. it's me against Lee.

looking over I see him yelling about the flames of youth.

our match is the third in line the first is sasuke against tenten, then naruto against sakura, after that it's Kankuro against Gaara, and Temari against the guy that's sucking a lollipop from Kumo, and two girls from Kumo fight each other, and the winner of the first match gets to fight Neji later.

the best matchup if I saw one.

the first two matches were okay.

sasuke used his fire jutsu to get an advantage against tenten and then used a lightning jutsu that channeled through the weapons on the ground and knocked her out.

naruto just punched sakura so hard she died, okay back to reality, sakura held up for about three minutes, then naruto overwhelmed her and made her surrender without hurting her.

and now it's me against Lee.

walking out of the stands im thinking if I should use water prison or not, but if he uses one of the gates he can break out, so what's the point?

looking over I see him doing pushups...

taking out my mask I put it on and get in a Kenjutsu stance, hand on my sword ready to slice anyone who comes near...okay maybe not that brutal.

"YOSH, LET OUR FLAMES OF YOUTH BURN BRIGHT" Lee yells with his fists raised.

not paying attention to his antics, I watch him closely, and he just charges straight at me.

stepping back I avoid an ax kick that made a crack in the ground, then he... spins? oh crap.

"LEAF HURRICANE".

jumping back I ready my sword and go in when I see an opening.

he dodges my swipe and tries to backhand me so I tilt my upper body to avoid it.

crouching down I try to sweep his feet, he tries avoiding by jumping so I don't stop and switch to my other leg and send a kick to his head.

he's sent off flying, yeah enhancing strikes with chakra is awesome.

we continue exchanging blows... more like him trying and me avoiding his hits.

occasionally I manage to cut him which is evidenced by a large number of cuts on his person.

and then he turns to his sensei, who nods.

he jumps back enough to have time to avoid an attack if I try, and starts taking off his leg weights.

(time to kick it up a notch huh?)

getting ready to react if he is faster than I anticipated, I wait, If I try to attack he can dodge and it would be a waste of energy.

throwing his weights behind him, a large dust cloud erupts from where they land.

and he charges at me, at speed of about special jounin.

tilting my head to avoid a punch straight at my face I try sending a kick to his torso, but he grabs it and flings me away from him.

landing a moment later, I look over to see him charging at me, deciding it was time to get serious I release the resistance seals that I placed on my legs when I reached sealing level 7, for some reason, I still don't have a skill for that.

I and Lee start exchanging blows at a rapid pace, im still faster than him but he manages to block most of my attacks.

this continues until his sensei maito guy from the stands yells at him to "use it" and im pretty sure about what that "it" is.

"FIRST GATE: OPEN" my opponent yells as a green aura surrounds him.

if I remember correctly this guy can open 4 or 5... well crap.
