5 Marriage?

Diluc woke up from his nightmare in a sweat, although he knew it wasn't just a nightmare.

Both Inko and Izuku were concerned about how pale Diluc was. Their family was quite weird, Diluc would always act lazy and independent. He always looked like he just wanted to coast through life at his own leisure, he never really went out of his way to do anything. However, if a problem comes knocking at his door, he crushes it.

Both Inko and Izuku were familiar with how Diluc did things, in fact, Inko was glad that he didn't require too much to keep happy and Izuku always looked up to Diluc for his carefree attitude and his exaggerated swagger.

(A.N. Hopefully you understand that joke otherwise it just sounds stupid.)

However, in all of Diluc's five years alive, not once had the two seen him pale or sweating. Currently, he was doing both.

Inko immediately tried to call the doctor but was stopped by Diluc.

"Don't call the ambulance, do you want the good news or the bad news first?" He asked. Inko looked at him and lowered her phone.

"The good news?"

"I awakened my quirk."

"And the bad news?"

"I awakened my quirk."

Inko was confused, but happy. She changed her call from the ambulance to the quirk appraisers.

Soon enough, Diluc was soon face-to-face with a quirk appraiser. His quirk was awakened but the appraiser couldn't get any information on it for some reason. This confused the middle-aged appraiser.

"Are you sure your quirk has been awakened?" He asked with suspicion. He hadn't seen anything that would show of a quirk yet. Dilucsummoned the ring of life on his right left finger. Seeing that a quirk was present, the man got even more confused.

"I woke up in a strange place where a bunch of undead-looking things tried to attack me. I attacked back and got a bit stronger because of it." He said as he crushed a metal can with two fingers. Diluc knew it'd be better to just show off the lower-limits of his quirk. There's no reason to completely hide it since he'd show his quirk again eventually.

"I also picked up a couple of things along the way that might help me." He then summoned his club that still had some black mass on it.

"However, I did die a few times." He concluded. Both Inko and the man were extremely surprised and worried. A quirk that killed you? Even for an adult that would be torture much less for a kid. Thankfully, Izuku wasn't in the room at this time, he went to school.

"You died? Can you elaborate?" The man asked. Inko was confused as Diluc was still alive but pulled him into a hug regardless.

"I died a total of 29 times. To proceed, I had to kill the strongest thing in the area. It was a suit of armor that wielded a halberd. The first three times I was able to beat it but every time I kill it, a black thing comes out and forms a massive creature and that was responsible for the rest of my deaths." Diluc said with a monotone voice. He said this so Inko could realize that he would probably become even more apathetic in the future as a result of this.

Also, there was nothing anyone could do with this information. What are they going to do? Tease him because he is able to die multiple times? Tease him because he was killed by an unexplainable black creature?

Inko became more worried but knew there was nothing she could do to help. There was no one offering quirk removals so it's not like he could spend a thousand to become quirkless, not like he'd do it anyway.

Ironically enough, Inko didn't know if she should be more concerned for Diluc or Izuku. Diluc may suffer but he'll become stronger and more mature while Izuku has no chance of attaining his dreams until All-Might comes along.

Both Inko and Diluc agreed to keep the whole 'die every night' a secret from Izuku. He didn't need to know that; his fragile heart wouldn't be able to take it.

Inko, being the mother of two children that had the worst luck, was one step away from becoming extremely depressed. Diluc knew that he wasn't good at comforting people so he went to school and took brought Izuku out. He could go and comfort her.

Thankfully, he was able to calm Inko down. She also was thankful to Diluc for trying to help even though he didn't do it directly.

Now, Diluc had some alone time. He had no clue on how he'd spend it. He didn't feel like studying after dying so many times last night so he just began thinking about how he could kill Iudex tonight.

He was also quite curious about how strong he was compared to everyone else. Even those who had weak quirks that weren't related to their physique in the slightest, they were still much stronger than the average person. How would Diluc stand up to them.

He told his mother that he'd be out for a while. She agreed without hassle, he was always able to take care of himself.

He made his way to the local gym and paid the fee for a one-time pass.

He walked through to see a manner of different people. Some just coming here to get more attractive, some teens getting stronger in preparation for entrance exams and some others here to pick up women. Diluc made his way to the dumbbells. He picked up a 50kg weight without any issue.

He looked to the 100kg one. He expected some resistance but he almost hit himself in the head when he pulled on it with too much force. Diluc was confused. He expected that each stat would be about 10kg in weight but he hardly felt 100kg, it had to be bigger.

Now, some people were paying attention to the child that just picked up a 100kg dumbbell like paper. It's not like people are so stupid to pick fights with children in real life, right?

"Hey you!" A voice shouted, obviously towards Diluc. What he had feared came to pass. A wealthy-looking 10–12-year-old shouted atDiluc, a cliché young master. He decided to ignore the annoyance.

He approached the 500kg dumbbell.

"Heh. You think you can pick that up? If you could pick up something like that, I'd kill myself." The annoyance said while laughing. Dilucpicked it up, he felt resistance but not much of it. The crowd went silent.

Diluc walked to the next one. Now it was the 1ton weight or 1000kg. He could feel a good bit of weight but could probably throw it without too much issue. Using common sense, he knew that 1 point into strength most likely equaled 100kg in muscle strength. Which would mean that this total would be 2tons of weight.

He was happy that he discovered this, but also terrified. He was attacking Iudex Gundyr with 2tons worth of force and still regularly lost? What bullshit.

The young master ran out of the gym without looking back, his non-existent reputation ever-tarnished. A black-haired girl approachedDiluc.

"That was pretty funny, I love how you got rid of that guy." She said to him. She also seemed to be fascinated by his hair.

"What guy?" Diluc asked while tilting his head. The girl laughed in response.

"What's your name? Mine's Momo. My dad owns this gym." She spoke. Although Diluc didn't like people who over-shared, he thought it was nice to know that he met a main character so early.

"I'm Diluc." He spoke. He never was one to talk for longer than required. Momo caught onto this fact immediately and knew that she'd have to steer the conversations.

"My quirk is that I'm able to create anything as long as I know the chemical make-up of it, what's your quirk?" She asked. Diluc was starting to work-out. He wanted to test if he was able to gain stat points without having to level up.

"I'm strong and I can summon some things." Diluc stated bluntly. He already knew Momo's quirk so it's not like he'd fall out of his chair after hearing about it. However, his lackluster response annoyed Momo.

"What can you summon?" This was more or less her last push. If this didn't work in starting a conversation then she'd probably leave and do something else which is what Diluc wanted.

"This." He summoned the Life Stone Ring. It appeared on his right ring finger. He decided against summoning the crappy shield or the club that was coated with the tar-like substance.

However, in Momo's stupid child brain, something magical happened. She completely misunderstood the situation. Her heartbeat quickened and she started sweating.

'IS HE TRYING TO MARRY ME???' She thought. Momo began to squirm while thinking about the future wedding and how many kids they'd have. Diluc was completely dumbfounded.

'How did this person become reliable?' He asked himself. Momo snapped out of her daydreaming.

"Understood, I'll become your wife!" She exclaimed. Everyone in the gym went quiet. They all knew that Diluc didn't propose and they all knew that she was completely misunderstanding this but they didn't have the balls to speak out against the owner of the best gym in town.

"Uhhh. At what point did I ask you to become my wife?" Diluc was now saying more than a phrase which made Momo even more excited.

"Don't worry, I have it all planned out. We'll have our marriage on a yacht that my family owns when we turn 16 and-" Momo began her fantasies and didn't stop. She continued talking for much longer than she should've. Some people even left because they didn't want to 'get in the way'.

Just as Diluc was about to decline again, he considered it.

'It wouldn't be too bad. She's rich, she has a good quirk, she's attractive, she's smart. All in the future at least. Plus, having a woman would work to help my stress. This isn't too bad?' Diluc thought. There weren't many downsides to this.

"Understood. I'll become your husband." He spoke. She almost fainted after hearing his words. She thought he had already proposed to her a while ago but hearing it directly from him was worth much more.

Momo immediately called her father and told her that she'd become engaged. Diluc could hear the loud shouts coming from the phone as her father said he was coming here right now.

Diluc simply sat down on a bench and waited. Momo sat down next to him and leaned on his shoulder. At this point, everyone else had left the gym, even the staff. No one wanted to piss off the boss.

A large-framed man came through the main doors to the gym and found the two 5-year-olds. He angrily walked up to the red-haired boy.

"You! You trying to court my precious daughter?!" He angrily asked. Diluc simply nodded.

"There's no reason not to." He replied. Diluc knew that this person needed to remove the stick from his ass in order to accept Diluc as a son-in-law.

"WHAT? There's no reason not to?! Those are your last words?!" He shouted as he raised his fist. Was he really going to hit a 5-year-old?

The man shot his fist towards Diluc's face. Diluc didn't feel the need to respond. If it did hit, he'd be able to test if he is able to come back after dying in the real world as well while if he didn't hit then this was a test.

Sure enough, the fist stopped a millimeter away from his face. Diluc's face was completely expressionless as always.

"If she cries because of you even once, I'll kill you myself kid." The father-in-law spoke.
