Diluc could be seen sitting next to the corpse of a large skinless lizard with a large wooden cane broken nearby.

The fight with Oceiros was boring, too boring. He was an insane lizard that stopped fighting every now and then to talk about, "Ahhhh... You ignorant slaves..." which allowed Diluc to beat on him for a while. There wasn't even a need to pull out his newly developed dance moves.

Even the second phase was uneventful. The big reptile jumped up and flew for a second before hitting a wall and falling down with a big *THUMP*. Diluc didn't pass up the opportunity.

Regardless, the fight was boring and it was time to move on. Diluc went to Champion Gundyr.

The way there was pretty creepy. It was similar to coming back to a street at night. The day made it thrive with people covering the streets like ants but at night, it was completely empty.

Walking into the familiar boss room, Diluc stood in front of the first bastard he had struggled against in this world.

Lo and behold, it happened again. Both times, Gundyr had acted as a sharpening stone for Diluc.

Well, as much as a 8 foot giant in plate armor and a massive halberd could be a sharpening stone.

Every time Diluc had faced him, Gundyr forced him to evolve. Last time it was his basic fighting skills and this time it was his dancing.

(A.N. It sounds so weird to put 'dancing' in otherwise would be a semi-cool line.)

Every time Diluc had skillfully evaded the attacks or brutal kicks and punches from the looming suit of armor, his proficiency with his dancing evolves slightly.

He'd dodge a powerful swing from the halberd, try to counter with a big boy strike of his own only to get sent back to the bonfire by a powerful punch that exploded his grey matter.

(A.N. Grey Matter + White Matter = Brain. It just sounds cool to say grey matter instead of brain.)

Many weeks were spent trying to get rid of this annoyance.

Over time, Diluc's dancing skills went from a handicapped ballerina to a professional war-dancer. His form demanded attention while also distracting attention from the massive Greatsword that often liked to make its acquaintance.

Magic never did any damage which made Diluc much more dependent on his physical attacks but on the bright side, Champion Gundyr never changed. He always got better at counter attacking and evading Diluc's attacks but never developed new ways to attack or anything like that.

This gave Diluc a safe (somewhat) and calm (not at all) training environment, free from pain (he was in a lot of pain).

Regardless, by the time his war dance had developed, he was ready to kill Champion Gundyr.

If anyone were to see this fight, they'd most likely question their sanity. There was a long red-haired man dancing around a suit of armor. They both were equipped with weapons that looks far too heavy to move at the speeds they are.

Every 20 seconds or so, Diluc was able to damage Gundyr. Unfortunately, on the rare chance that Gundyr got an attack off, it was much more devastating than the many that he took.

Estus flasks could be used but every time Diluc drank one, he'd inevitably get hit by Gundyr unless he was across the whole arena. So, his max health was effectively reduced to about 70%.

His war dance had development tremendously during these battles. His feet moved with power and precision, at times, he'd have to be swift on his feet to be able to dodge Gundyr which was only successful some of the time.

His arms moved in motion with his legs and body. Farron was now an integral part of his dance, he absolutely had to have an ultra greatsword in his hands at all time while he was fighting, otherwise his balance would be upset and he'd fail and have to constantly readjust.

At the point where Gundyr was at little to no health while Diluc was only down a couple estus', instead of taking the head of his rival, Diluc let himself die and return with a different weapon; a staff.

Because of the fact that he had invested into magic as well as physical combat, he decided that it was extremely important to be adept at using the staff to fight with.

This war dance was far different from his previous one. Rather than using his whole body to flow into devastating attacks, Diluc was far more reminiscent of a shaolin monk. He had far greater control with the staff, he could use it to attack, he could use it as a stepping stone to jump off of to attack a giant foe although he hasn't found a use for this move just yet.

By the time he was 14 and a half, Diluc had completed refining his fighting styles.

And unfortunately, that's when bosses became easier and easier to fight. Diluc no longer had anything to learn and was a master in his fighting styles.

Or that's what Diluc liked to believe when he overconfidently walked into the boss room of the Lothric Princes.

Without even dying once, he finished off the Lorian, the Elder Brother. However, even with the power of attacking during 'cutscenes', Diluc wasn't able to finish them off before the 2nd phase could begin.

No matter how many times he killed Lorian, Lothric would just revive the fucker. Not to mention, Lothric has healing magic, he never used that in game.

Diluc had to deal with the least fair 1v2 in history. One brother that could make the ground tremble with his attacks and the other that would chip away at your health as you dodged and healed himself and revived his brother whenever necessary.

Diluc was confronted with a cheesy boss. One that couldn't be killed without stooping to its level. Therefore, he did.
