1 The Day The Star Shined The Brightest

It was a glorious morning to behold. The sun rose ever so beautifully, marking another day in my life. What life u might ask? Well, I am a 24 year old war hero who have successfully completed three tours in the military with more than five years under my belt. I am now living peacefully in the Caribbean.

I was not a tall lad, however, I was also not small in stature either. I'd say about 5 feet 10 roughly. My short term in combat earned me recognition among the top elites in the field. I could take down ten men twice my size without breaking a sweat. I was like any other islander from the Bahamas. I had dark hair and dark brown eyes.

One night as I prepared to go to bed, my cell phone rang. I took a look at the caller Id as it consistently vibrated in anticipation of my answer. A sudden annoyance took hold of me as I knew the headache that was about to ensue as soon as I answered.

Oblivious, i listened to the tired voice on the other end of the phone. It was my oldest cousin who needed to vent about her son's bad habits. It appears that he may have gotten in trouble for fighting in school and she wanted me fill in for her because she would not be able to take the time off from work to deal with the situation.

The next morning, I took the keys to my blue ford truck and drove to my little cousin's school. Along the way, i could not shake this bad feeling that something big was about to happen. I don't know what it could be about but I was a firm believer in fate. I guess what will happen will happen, right?Although i haven't been in a single relationship since birth, i firmly believed that this was not what fate had in store for me.

We eventually reached the school, i found a place to park my car and we began to walk towards the gate. As we approached, the school's guards posted in front of the building decided to question me about my visitation. He wanted to know the reason why I came to the institution, I explained the circumstance and he went to confirm it with an administrator. Once validated, he escorted me to my cousin's homeroom. i met a female teacher arguing with a student.

I quickly walked in the back of the student who appeared to be 6 ft tall with black hair before slapping him the back of his head. He turned around and screamed, "which one of you motherfuckers did that?" With one look he began to stagger while his eyes started to dilated.

He hollered "cousin, what are u doing here?" I sighed before responding, "I am here for a very troubling relative of mine." Seeing the teacher angry, i turned to her and apologized for my cousin's poor behavior. After a quick observation of the teacher, i realized that she was a foreigner because she looked way different than other natives. She had blonde hair with blue eyes as stood about 5 feet 6. Standing next to me, she reached as far as chest with a busty body to boot.

Just as I was about to reprimand my cousin, I heard a scream followed by gun shots. The feeling i had this morning had me on edge so i carried both of my desert eagle and a small knife. I tossed one of my guns to my cousin who i always took hunting and instructed him to stay and shoot anyone other than me who enters.

I then exited into the deserted hallways as i headed class to class to see if there was anyone needed who needed help. On my way downstairs, I came to a shocking sight. There was a body lying on the floor. It was riddled with bullets which led me to believe that there was multiple assailants with high power guns.

I slowly approached an open door of a room that held a teacher and student both bounded by ropes. There were also five masked men present with high power assault rifles in there hands. I began thinking about a counter measure to save them.

For some reason, my sixth sense made me aware that someone was going to sneak attack me from behind. I waited until they got closer. When they did, I furiously turned around and i slashed out my knife in one smooth motion.

Just as my i was about to slice through his throat, I realized that the misidentified assailant was actually my cousin who stood there paralyzed in fear. I angrily yelled at him for his reckless action and then cautioned him to stay close.

There was absolutely no time to waste as i wanted to take control of the situation. I would not be fast enough to take down five persons in different directions. This whole scenario felt as if I was hunting a deer and bear. If you want to take down a wild one thing, always aim for its vitals which is their foreheads, heart and lungs; the results would be fatal.

I then looked at my cousin and instructed him to get ready. "There are five masked assailants, i'll take the three on the right and you'll handle the two on the left. He nodded in agreement and we then rushed into the room.

I fired my gun immediately, shooting three in the head; right on the mark. As i turn around seeing the other two on the floor, my cousin's face appeared very pale. He was in shock so I confronting him while untying the the bounded victims. We alerted the local police of the situation and began to make our way out of the building when we heard noise that sounded like mad laughter coming from behind.

We looked back behind us where there laid a man with a strange smile on his face. He had a bomb strapped to his body. The very last words we heard that came from his mouth was, "Ain't it a perfect day to die before?" Immediately, my mind went blank.
