The calm before the storm.

At the moment right before Dan fainted due to drinking the third awakening potion, there was an endless rush of knowledge and information gushing into his mind. It was as if a hidden door had been forced open.

Secret Techniques, Meditation Techniques, Alchemy, Smithing Skills, Different types of weapon Techniques, Tailoring, Cooking, Hunting, medicine skills and various other Craftsmen techniques . . . . . . . . . .

When all the information stopped transmitting, there came a change on the Mystery Book cover.

Before there was nothing but thick outer blank cover, but now an archaic design started covering the page. A small stone the size of a marble came out of the engraving and fitted right at the center of the book cover. It started spinning at its place and spewing out bright light after some time some black liquid sphere came out from the stone in shape. It was darker than the darkest black hole. The liquid sphere then entered into the blood stream of Dan's body.

Dan body lied in the middle of the small house, his body started shaking nonstop stimulated by the black liquid sphere which assimilating with the body, his face was as red as a tomato as if he's being roasted.

A strange flow of power was circling in his body; his body became stronger as he gave birth to a strange power. The changes to the body was enormous, and that was not all,

Dan face and body started deforming as it was changing its structure, even the hair changed color multiple time. After 3 hours the abnormalities happening on his body stopped and his face, body and hair returned back to normal.

Dan slept like this till dusk, and woke up with a jolt. He looked around and then he stood up. After drinking the third potion there came a flood of information about techniques, skills, spells, profession related information and an encyclopedia about exotic animals, plants and many more that was stuffed into his brain. He then brought himself in front of a mirror in the house. He checked his own face and body, and after seeing that there was no change to his body he gave a sigh of relief.

That is because he had a dream in which his body kept changing into different person he had seen in his life continuously and also transforming into different animals whether small or big, common or mystical. It was truly miraculous, when he thought how his face changed into his uncle Karl. Just as he thought that he suddenly felt like thousand worms were squirming on his face, and what he saw in the mirror had definitely gave him freight. His face changed into that of his Uncle Karl, it was exactly the same even the scar, hair color changed to that of his Uncle. Seeing that a middle age man face on a body of a young teen was really….disturbing.

Dan touched his face "damn what hap….even my voice sound like Uncle Karl…can I change back".

He thought of this face changing back to his own.

His face started wriggling again and changed to his original. "wow….did the Book do that to me" Dan thought while concentrating his mind on that Mystery Book.

That Book looked quite different than it was before; he saw the stone and the carvings on the book, not finding anything from it he then flipped the cover opening the first page.

This too had become quite different, first there was the potion formula and the different skills written and now there was photo of him from head to toe. It looked ..three dimensional; he touched his picture and swipe his finger a little towards right like how a he would operate his smartphone when in the real world.

The figure truly could turn 360 degree, after that he tried clicking it and the change appeared. There appeared a string of words like a how a character status would show.

"These are my stats….I have become apprentice mage and warrior and it shows that I am not only human but also some other race…the bloodline should have come from that part." Thought Dan but then after seeing the bloodline ability he couldn't help but think of its uses 'I definitely have to try that'. He had heard from Aunt Jess about people who have bloodline derived from beast may Awaken a power unique to that bloodline and there are other way to acquire bloodline from powerful magical beast but that's not know to common people.

He then again tried to turn the page, unfortunately it did not turn.

Not finding anything else he opens his eyes.

It already started to darken outside. 'They should be coming back by now' thought Dan while seeing through the window.

He started to clean and place everything on its place. He then took the last two potion tubes in his hands and thought that how can a potion made from normal material concoted through normal methods could have the energy to awake a person power. Thinking this he concentrated on it.

He finally new why it was different than the awakening potion used here.

No one else can make it even if they knew the recipe as the book is necessary to insert some sort of energy when the potion is being made. He didn't know before that the chanting he did while cooking was the medium for transferring that energy from the book.

[Sacred Void Awakening Potion: One drop of it can Awaken the power hidden deep within of Hundred beings .

Warning: One drop should be diluted into hundred parts with any other liquid to avoid exploding from excess of energy. Only one of the hundred parts is needed per person.]

Seeing this information about the potion Dan started to sweat buckets,

he had just now realised how dangerous it was for him but he couldn't find how he has not exploded and even became both mage and warrior. Then it came to him, the book had absorbed the potion when he first drunk and only excreted a dribble of it in his body.

Another thing was that he could feel mana and Ether in his surroundings.

Dan still has not entered grade 1 in both paths as he has to accumulate energy over a period of time.

As he was thinking all of this he heart someone shout to him outside"Dan come quicly your Uncle is hurt seriously"

"What....Where is he now, take me to him" Dan quicly ran behind the person who took him to the place where his uncle is now.

He came to the house that was close to the entrance of the village. It was crowded with people who were surrounding the house.

They gave way to Dan for him to enter the house.

Inside, he saw Donald, Joe and Theo who looked battered, they were his uncle and aunt teemmates as they hunted together, they were now surrounding the bed. Aunt Jess was sitting besides uncle Karl who had his face swelled like a baboon and bruises were covering his whole body. He asked his aunt about what happened.

It was uncle donald, who gave the answer.

"Karl was ambushed by that bastard Jack and his guards. He took everything we had hunted this day. He even tried to kill us but then a group of Thorn Back Apes with grade 6 leader were attracted by the fighting. He ran away with the loot. We too had to escape for our life".

Jack was the Son-in-law of Hestia family and he was quite arrogant about it. But this was a whole lot different as this would give bad reputation toward's Hestia family and no one would fight for them again. He should not be that dumb.

"Why would he do that, wasn't the task given by his family to hunt magic beast in exchange of money". Dan asked half believingly as he had heard that Doran atleast would not do this kind of thing so openly and Jack wouldn't have the balls to go against Doran.

Jack was the Son-in-law of Hestia family and he was quite arrogant about it. But this was a whole lot different as this would give bad reputation to Hestia family and no one would fight for them again.

"Hump..we were blind to even believe that concerning the situation there family is in now. We heard that Doran Hestia was poisoned and is on his last days, and his butler who was Grade 8 warrior was beheaded by his sons making him the killer without evidence 3 days ago and his good for nothing sons are busy fighting for the family head position. I even heard that some of them plan on escaping from the island. You should know that there are wolves and hyenas eyeing this territory who would jump at any opportunities given to them. They are only waiting to hear about end of Doran life".

Then Theo said "I don't know what will happen to us, atleast Doran was a good man never oppressed his people. His eldest's son may even have colluded with Gothor family, he seems quite close with them".

Joe said in a tone of suggestion " Gothor's have their hands full fighting Mad Mage Master selena. So they wouldn't have the energy to even turn their heads this side.

Redcliff House or those Tigerblood Mercenary have have more probability of attacking. We can only surrender if it is the Redcliff family who attacks. They would just take over the village but if those Tigerblood Mercenary attacks then we should either suicide or fight to death.".

Dan knew who the Tigerblood Mercenary were as they were quite infamous on the island. They mostly did slave trafficking and sold the slaves captured from other territories to the mainland. No other territories would attack them because someone powerful is backing them from the mainland but they too can't exterminate the rulers of other territories without reasons. They only do small scale raid on the villages or merchent caravans. But if Doran did die then the mercenary would definitely rush to attack the territory.

Aunt Jess who was silent till now suddenly spoke while giving off a thick killing intent "I don't care who attacks but the Hestia have to payback for what they did".
