REBIRTH

Just as the sky lit up, while the whole of Coral Pearl village was still hidden in the darkness before dawn...

"Dan, we will be back by night. Today we should be able to gather the remaining money needed to purchase the potion for your awakening." said a man with a muscular figure whose age seemed to be around 40.

"Yeah, so till we come back you be a good boy and relax. You need to be in your best form when you take the potion." said a charming woman who had a lithe, fit and busty figure which made it harder to judge her age.

"Uncle Karl and Aunt Jess, be safe in your hunt. I will not do any practice today so you don't have to worry." Said a boy of age 13 putting a smile to his face."Yeah, don't do any practice not even the one you do with your hand" chuckled Aunt Jess while hurrying her husband to go as the members for the hunt would set off without them if they are late.

Dan blushed a little at those word but shamelessly smiled again as he knew they don't mind me doing that kind of practice. The culture here was very open.

Seeing them off, Dan quickly turned around and walked towards his bed. He pulled a wooden plank underneath his bed and took out a bag. The bag was filled with herbs that were common and some were a little rare and also a little hard to find but could be gathered with time.

'It took me 6 years to find the rare ones but at least I have them now' thought Dan.

Thinking about his previous life, his eyes revealed a hint of bitter frustration.

"To think that I survived !" Dan whispered in his heart. At that moment, his bitter smile vanished and a hint of a smile appears on the corner of his mouth.

That's right. He was originally a senior student in a good University. However, due to a car accident, Dan crossed over to another world and ended up possessing a baby of 5 month's that shares his name.

Dan felt somewhat depressed but it was not due to the fact that he crossed over to another world. On Earth, he was an orphan and was single-handedly bought up by his grandfather. One day, after seeing Dan's college admission notice, his grandfather finally felt relieved and died due to overworking. He left Dan enough money in his bank to pay for his college. This amount of money can be considered a fortune in the village. And for his grandfather to save up this last bit of inheritance for Dan, he neglected his health.

Dan studied very hard in college and would always get best scholarship. He wanted to rely on his own effort to change his fate, to fulfill his grandfather's wish. But Dan gradually understood that no matter how hard he work and how much effort he put in, it means nothing in this era where your parent's influence plays an important role. It would be also the same if he worked under someone as he will always be pushed around.

On the day Dan graduated, he packed his belongings and went out to find an apartment to rent near his company where he was an intern. When he was packing he came upon a book 3inch thick.

That book was one of his father's belonging who was an archeologist before his death. He found it in one of his expedition. The book contained writing's that was of language unknown. This was also the reason his father never made it public as he wanted to first decipher it.

But he died before that, Dan came to know about this book when his grandfather was on his last days.

He called for a cab and after telling him the destination, he sat behind the driver. Dan tried to read that book in the cab to pass the time. Although he couldn't understand anything but by looking at some of the pictures on the first few pages, he got the gist of what this book was about.

It had pictures drawn like some exotic looking plants, animals, etc, that he never even heard or seen before. But it was then that an accident happen, the cab slowed down a little in front of speed breaker. But the person in the car behind him was busy with his phone. The car speed was fast as it rammed the back of the cab where he was sitting at. His death was instant.

After that he was in the body of the baby. This time too he was an orphan and stayed with Aunt Jess and Uncle Karl.

For Dan, it was quite unscientific and magical. His world also turned around when he came to know the world he was in. This world was in medieval era high fantasy setting, for now he only knew that there are warriors and mage but the specifics are unknown to him.

But that was not all, the book came with him or it was the reason he could even reincarnate. The book would appear in his mind after he closes his eyes and think about it. Like before he couldn't read it but it also seems that he can only see the first page of the book and can never turn the page. But after 5 years when Aunt Jess was teaching him how to read and write, Dan found the language familiar with the one within the book. Secretly delighted, Dan after learning the language and after that he read the first page.

First line was about a formula of awakening potion and how to make it. And after that was the description of the ingredients characteristics that were used in the potion.

The next few paragraph were about miscellaneous skills like hunting, gathering herbs and skinning animals. This was a little disappointing for him then but Dan quickly threw that thought aside as he came to know how difficult it was to have knowledge about these skills as it was only the people with money, authority and strong knew. Like that awakening potion, common people have to purchase it from the stores in the city that was run by the lord of the city. They never publicized the formula as it was in there interest. Most of the powerful families would do this, even Uncle and Aunt got the skills and spells by purchasing, trading and even by illegal means like black market where the price would always be high.

His Uncle Karl was stage 6 warrior and his Aunt Jess was stage 5 mage, which is a little above average around this part. We lived in a village called Coral Pearl, it came under White Pearl city which was in the northern part of the island.

Yeah, an island, the size was not known to Dan but he knew that the mainland or the continent was 15 miles from the island. Only the noble, powerful and the one with connection could travel there. The island was divided into 7 territories. Four of them are ruled by different families, two are ruled by organization or faction of different people with same interest and the last one is ruled by an individual woman who is also the strongest person and the sole wizard on the island.

White Pearl City comes under Hestia family, one of the four families.

Hestia Family rules over 3 villages and one city, there strength is on the low side then the rest of the territories. Uncle Karl said that the strongest person in Hestia family was Doran Hestia a stage 9 warrior, his strength was on par with the 5 rulers but the Hestia family only had one stage 8 warrior and the others were bellow stage 7, which was quite lacking in overall strength with respect to the other families.

They also had the least territory.

Dan also wanted to be strong and rule his own territory while enjoying this life and thinking about how the culture here was different than Earth made his mouth water. This thought only came to him when he lived here for all these years.

In real world he had suppressed his thoughts for himself and lived all his life to see his granfather smilling and he never had regrets about that.

' Well, with the book it might be possible but let see if I can make that potion, if I could make it then I will be rich if possible' thought Dan excitedly. "Let's start then"

The tradition of this world is quite different than our world.
