Jazz looked around and found no trace of Danny even though the time was close, 'Where is he?'

Everyone was prepared for the battle, with blue and white combat suit with goggles, anti ghost blasters, nets, bombs, shields and thermos.

The team consisted of Jack, Maddie, Jazz and their new helpers called Clark and Ralph, both of these men were buff and from special services with a vast experience in handling dangerous situations.

Seeing that looking around for Danny was going to only disturb her thoughts, Jazz decided to focus on the situation as she looked towards the victims in the middle of a anti ghost barrier.

The device had enough energy to last the night but since it would handle attacks, the machine was plugged to batteries just in case.

They were out of the city in a place with nothing but sand in site to avoid normal people getting involved or getting possessed.

"Hey Jazz, is the local hero going to come or not?" Ralph came closer and asked with a friendly smile

Among the duo he was the talkative and friendly one while Clark was stoic and serious.

"I don't know but from his track record he should appear."

"As a local citizen what do you think about him?"

"I think he is a good guy."

"Is that so? Let's hope he provides some help then." Ralph smiled as he sat down beside her to provide protection while Clark was with Jack and Maddie

This team wasn't the only deployed for this mission as Team Phantom was watching over them from few hundred meters.

Sam lay low on the ground with a sniper rifle aiming towards the victims while Tucker was using drones to watch for any traces as he held his metal wire glove for support.

Dash stood staring in the direction ready to take off at any moment as he wore some armor and metal claws on his hands for extra damage that had energy crystal embedded in them for ghost problems.

"Tucker any sign of Danny" Sam asked as she felt worried for him

He would never disappear without informing them in such a delicate situation.

"None, his signal disappeared almost 2 hours ago and no sign since then. I feel like he had been dragged in to the ghost zone."

"Do you mean we are fighting without him?" Dash questioned

"I think so"

With those words the team went silent, they knew the danger involved here was very high and death could be one of the outcomes.

"I am staying but you guys can leave as you are just human. He won't blame you." Dash looked at them before standing in place

"Not your choice Dash, we are staying and i don't want my sister in law getting maimed here." Sam replied with a resolute tone

"Same here, we promised that we will walk together through thick and thin so we can't bounce at the last moment. I could never live with the guilt. This is it, the final test of our will power." Tucker muttered as he awakened his downed spirit

"Well said Tucker didn't think you had it in you. Respect" Dash tapped his chest with his right fist and pointed at him

Tucker was surprised since Dash called him four eyes even after joining the gang.

'Guess Danny was right, he needs a reason to respect since I did crush my image throughout middle school and up.'

"It's here!" Tucker felt his device shake and Sam saw through the lens the barrier coming to life as something crashed into it

"Let them fight for some time and we will provide assistance when necessary." Dash said as he flared towards the direction of the enemy as his fur was standing

The duo agreed to his words as this enemy needed surprise attacks if the hunter team couldn't take it on.

Jazz felt the lights come up as the barrier was hit by invisible attacks but she saw through the goggles the colorless long arms that hit whiling coming out of everywhere.

Everyone saw them and aimed their blasters at those arms.

Boom boom

The explosive energy was let out and shot at the appendages causing them damage.

"It can be hurt. Keep on shooting." Jack commanded as he continued to bombard the enemy but soon all of it stopped

But no one thought it escaped as all of them were experienced or intelligent enough to understand the situation.

SCREEEEEE

An ear piercing scream reverberated through the area as a figure appeared in the air. It was small girl with long black hair covering her face but all of them could see the shining ominous black glow.

She wore just a single white one piece that was damaged and the moment her eyes landed on them, the hunters felt chills down their spines.

"Kukukku" The cursed girl laughed at them as her target seemed to change

Jazz felt her body fly as Ralph pushed her away and was hit by an invisible hand, she quickly locked onto the enemy and shot but Ralph had been incapacitated.

"AHHHHH" Ralph fell to the ground as he held his head

From the looks of it he was experiencing enormous pain even though his outward body had not taken any damage.

"Careful, her attacks bypass defence and attack the psyche." Maddie made a conclusion and they quickly gathered around each other while holding the shield to block attacks

Clark took out the net and threw it at the enemy but the ghost went intangible while hitting him had on the shield. He almost flew from the ground by the force but his superhuman strength held the impact off.

The ghost seemed to have wide range, durability bypass attacks and number advantage while her physical weren't so powerful compared to many other ghosts on the same level.

Regardless they knew death seemed to be the only outcome here unless someone intervened.

Jazz knew that Team Phantom was providing support so she continued to fight without losing heart and so did the others as worrying now meant weakening your mental and physical strength.

The team continued to shoot while trying to get a chance to capture it and suddenly there was a chance as the ghost staggered from a surprise hit.

A sniper round hit her back but failed to pierce through the body. Regardless it was good enough as they threw the net over her body and captured her inside.

The team pulled it down to the ground before continuing to blast it with lasers.

"Get out of the way!" Maddie screamed as she felt the energy signals increase by a level but her warning was too late as they were sent flying in different directions as they were hit by invisible arms

Fortunately the ghost was feeling staggered by the hits so they were not hit by the crippling attack but they broke some bones and fractured some.

Dash arrived on the scene before the attack could continue while Sam provided support fire and Tucker provided information as he watched the battle from all directions using drones.

Seeing the new nuisances it was angrier and anyone could see it as the body was shaking while the barrage of attacks increased.

Dash felt his senses rise to the challenge and ran around the target while waiting for the signal.

Bang

With that sound he pounced while raising his metal claws to slash her down. Dash felt his claws hit the body and leave some scars as he landed and rolled away to avoid retaliation.

The ghost stopped for a moment before it started laughing creepily, "You are done now."

This was the first time it spoke and everyone felt like they were dreaming as the voice was actually cute.

'The fuck!'

Nonetheless they were in deep shit now as Dash saw the hands appear beside everyone and from her words it meant the crippling move.

Just as everything was about to end, a hero arrived at the last moment and it was not Phantom.

"PLASMIUS!" The cursed girl screamed as she was blasted by a powerful green beam as an older ghost appeared in the night sky

He reminded everyone of the Dracule from his style and radiating arrogance.

"Scram kid before i hunt you down seriously."

"You will pay for interfering with me" Cursed Girl muttered as she pointed her hand at him and countless arms appeared around him to rip his body apart

"USELESS!" Plasmius muttered as a barrier covered him before exploding outwards and destroying the invisible arms

"Fall in hell Plasmius" Cursed child said as her figure melted into the night as darkness seem to cover the land and suddenly dark hands reached out for him from the ground

From the looks of it, this was her final move and Plasmius couldn't afford to let her touch him as her psyche attacks were very dangerous even for him.

They weren't too far apart in levels at the moment as cursed child was a very active ghost.

"You are taking this too far child. This is my territory and you dared to encroach on it. Scram now and i will forgive this disrespect but continue and you will my wrath."

Plasmius took out a green long sword as he spun around like whirlwind of death cutting apart anything that came close to him but the dark shadows seemed to be endless.

The battle continued for few minutes before everything went silent as the darkness receded and Plasmius flew away.

"What just happened?" Dash questioned

"We might have just seen Phantom's father or something." Jack answered as his eyes landed on the werewolf hybrid

"I doubt that since Phantom's my boss."

"Boss?"

"Dad, Phantom has a team working under him that takes care of the small threats."

"Are they humans?"

"Who knows?" Dash shrugged before dashing away into the night as he didn't want to give away his identity

"This has been a terrible day let's just get out of here." Maddie muttered with painful gasps as her ribs were cracked

Jack nodded as the team packed up and drove away in the van towards home while Team Phantom had already retreated with Sam's car.

Cursed child had been temporarily handled but needed to be dealt with in the future as she seemed to be a vengeful ghost.

The words and video by Skulker had obviously been fake but Danny was in combat situation and under pressure so he never thought his enemy would use subtle illusion on him.

Naruto allowed this situation to take place as he wanted Danny to learn from these extreme situations but the result was disappointing. Danny's willpower was too low and he succumbed to the illusion.

He decided to give up when he was alone.

It showed Naruto that he had a lot to learn in the personality department. Power could be learned later but the personality was the most important part.

Regards to the situation, Naruto would have given up on the humans if it was a choice that used up some of his powers.

His presence was already limited and some mortals weren't going to cover those costs while Naruto had full confidence that he could bring Danny out of the rut if his parents died.

It was an extreme situation that he didn't want to happen as it went against his nature but sometimes harsh decisions have to be made.

"Are you done mopping now or do you want me invite the emo brigade for you?"

"Master, it's over. Everything is gone." Danny floated in the sky as he had appeared in the human world

"No, it hasn't you weak willed child. Never trust an enemy is one of the core rules of battle and you completely threw it away like a retarded child. The only reason i am not punishing you is because you actually won that battle but the final result was a letdown.

How could you think of giving up? Did i tell you what the future is like? Do you want someone like Lord Loss to torture your loved ones? What do you think would have happened once you stopped? Let me tell you, death to everyone as you would have been too weak to stop anything at that time unless you continue to grow.

Feeling angry and frustrated then put that fire to good use and grow and grow some more."

Danny's eyes opened wide as he heard the news and flew home without hesitation, going through the door and crashing into Jack.

"Father, mother, Jazz" Danny cried out as he let his feeling of shame hold off for the moment until he was done with this moment

"Danny, is that you?" Maddie asked as she looked at Phantom and Danny just realized that he had forgotten to change
