9 Trouble in Russia Part II

The large horde of Ashborns went on and rushed towards Lix, Eiji, and Ryuu, and started attacking them. The first one that they started attacking was Lix, who was blocking and countering every single attack that the Ashborns threw at him were one of the Ashborns tried to land a diagonal attack but Lix evades the attack and soon counter it by cutting the Ashborn in half. Meanwhile, Eiji was counter-attacking every attack that the Ashborns threw at him. At one point, one of the Ashborns tried to land a horizontal attack, but Eiji blocked the attack and push back the Ashborn to then cut off its head. On the other hand, Ryuu was making a massacre in his place. An Ashborn tried to cut him down, but he blocked the attack and cut the Ashborn in half. Meanwhile, Yuki and Makoto were protecting the little girl from earlier. At one point, One Ashborn entered the building and started attacking both Yuki and Makoto. Yuki blocked one attack of the Ashborn that had the resemblance of a human but with horns and four arms, and Makoto tried to hit it, but the Ashborn sent her flying towards the wall that was nearby. Yuki saw this and rushed towards the Ashborn who tried to land one strike, but Makoto evades it and cut off the head of the creature. The little girl went towards Makoto and started to shake her to see if she was ok. Yuki went towards the little girl and told her that Makoto was okay and that she was unconscious. Meanwhile, outside, Lix, Eiji, and Ryuu were still fighting the large horde of Ashborns. Lix, at one point, had enough and threw a sword beam towards some Ashborns that sliced them up to pieces. Eiji did a quick-draw so fast to the point where it sliced many of the Ashborn dead. Ryuu thrusted his greatsword on the floor, making it summon pillars from it that sent the Ashborn fly around. These attacks eliminated the large horde and, once they finished, Lix, Eiji, and Ryuu unsummoned their weapons and went inside the building to check on the girls. Once inside, Lix went towards Makoto and noticed that she was unconscious. He then looked at Yuki and ask her what happened...

Lix: " What the hell just happened?"

Yuki: " One of those things started attacking us to where it sent Makoto flying, knocking her unconscious."

Eiji: " Now that explains a lot."

Lix: " And how's the little girl?"

Yuki: " She's ok right now. She's resting for the time being."

Lix: " Not going to lie but, in just a short time she has passed a lot."

Eiji: " Yeah, first it was the death of her mother and then the attack that those things did."

?: " Wait, did you just said, "little girl"?"

They moved their heads towards the voice and saw Jun with a green-haired man. Ryuu looked at her and soon spoke...

Ryuu: " It was about time you guys were here."

Dimitry: " Really, no welcome? after long 19 years, you don't greet me like an old friend would do."

Ryuu: "Anyway Jun, along your way, did something happen?"

Jun: " Apart from a few Ashborns, nothing else, why?"

Ryuu: " Cause the threat is bigger than we thought."

Dimitry: " It is, old friend. Right now, those things have conquered 50% of Moscow thanks to the army, but they're still taking casualties as well. We must do something before they expand through the whole motherland and the entire world."

Eiji: "There must be a way to stop them, is it, right?."

Dimitry: " Well there's this building in the center that might be the Ashborn base."

Eiji: "Then we should check it out to see what's up there."

Lix: " But first, let's just rest for now. It will be night soon."

Ryuu: " I agree. Y'all don't want to fight those creatures by night."

Yuki: " why?"

Ryuu: " The reason is that once night comes up, they become a little much stronger to where, at some point, they can go berserk and kill anything in their path."

Eiji: " Well thank you for ruining the night."

Ryuu: " You welcome."

Dimitry: " I'll be on guard for the night so you guys can rest."

Ryuu: " If something happens, you know what to do."

Dimitry: " Yeah, just like the old times."

Ryuu: "Just Like the old times."

Meanwhile, Lix sat down next to Makoto, who was unconscious and went to sleep, and the others did the same as well. Dimitry, on the other hand, went to the rooftop of the building and started watching everything that was happening. His homeland, his birthplace, his nation were being destroyed every second it passed. A menace that he thought he destroyed 19 years ago alongside Ryuu, just returned for more blood. Just by seeing this, a tear came down from his left eye while maintaining a calm expression.

The next morning, the group woke up and went to look for food, but almost everything was destroyed. 30 minutes passed and by that time, the group found the remnants of a store. They entered and found some bread and water. They ate it and went their way towards the building that's located at the center of Moscow. After an hour, They found the building, and what they saw was impressive. A giant horde of Ashborns was surrounding the building, making sure nobody would enter. Ryuu look at Dimitry and spoke to him...

Ryuu: " I guess we should find another way."

Dimitry: "I guess so."

Jun: " Then why don't you do a portal towards the inside of the building?"

Ryuu: "Cause, where's the fun in that."

Jun: " Even so, it will save us the trouble."

Ryuu: "Ok, let's divide into two groups. The first one will pass through the portal while the other looks for another alternative. What do y'all say?"

Lix: " More like an exit but yeah, the others that are staying behind can look for an alternative route that can be used as an entrance and also an exit."

Dimitry: " I guess we're settled then."

Ryuu: " Lix, Eiji, Dimitry, and I will go through the portal while you three look for an alternative route and take care of the child."

Makoto: " I was going to ask but never mind."

Yuki: " Don't worry, we're going to take care of you."

She said that to the child, who had tears coming down her eyes. Meanwhile, Ryuu swung his greatsword horizontally, creating a portal in front of him. He, Lix, Eiji, and Dimitry passed through it, leaving the girls behind. Jun looked at the others and spoke to them...

Jun: " Guess we have to move before the Ashborns find us."

Yuki: " I agree."

Makoto: " Then let's move and find that alternative route so we can finish this, once and for all."

Jun: " Wao, I never expected to see you that angry."

Makoto: "Oh trust me, you don't want to see me like that."

Yuki: " Jun, trust me, you don't want to see her again."

Jun: " Let's just move."
