4 4: Resonance inside

The next day, Lix woke up early than the others and did his daily routine before going outside the house to exercise a little before training. Once he exited the house, he noticed that Ryuu was outside swinging his greatsword. Ryuu noticed Lix but paid no attention to it and kept swinging the greatsword. Seconds later, Ryuu spoke to Lix while he finished swinging greatsword...

Ryuu: " Are you keep standing there or are you just come here and train?"

Lix: " I see that you have noticed me."

Ryuu: " Even a fly could've noticed you kid. So, are you gonna summon your weapon?"

Lix: " Yeah, just give me a sec."

Lix extended his right hand and tried to summon the sword from yesterday but nothing happened. He tried again but nothing happened. Lix felt frustrated and sat down on the floor. Ryuu looked at him and spoke to him directly...

Ryuu: " I guess yesterday was pure luck but don't worry, I'll help you summon it at will."

Lix: " But yesterday I summoned it with no problem so why can't I do it now?"

Ryuu: " Look, your heiki appeared in your hand cause you were in danger at that time again it appeared without you telling it to do it. That is why it appeared yesterday. Now come on and stand up and try to do it again but this time stay calm and focused."

Lix did as he was told and he heard a voice from inside his head that was saying something to him. Lix focused a bit more and heard the voice speaking to him, saying "Saikou" Repeatedly. In his head, he repeated that word and a light appeared and soon disappeared revealing the sword that Lix have the day before. Ryuu saw what happened and spoke to Lix...

Ryuu: " See, what you needed to do was to concentrate and stay calm."

Lix: "I guess you were right. Now, what will happen next?"

Ryuu: "Let's wait for the other to come."

Lix: "Are you gonna train them to summon their Heiki?"

Ryuu: " What do you think?"

Lix: "I'll take that as a yes. Anyway, I'll go and wake up the others."

Ryuu: "Tell them that they have 30 minutes to get down here."

Lix went inside the house and woke up the others. Once they woke up, they did their daily routine, and later on, they went outside where they encountered Ryuu who was sitting on the floor with his legs crossed. He felt the presence of the group and spoke to them while standing up...

Ryuu: " I see everyone is here. Now, I want everyone to tell me what do you understand by Heiki?"

Makoto: " For what I can understand, Heiki is basically the word given to those weapons that are summoned by their users."

Ryuu: " I see that you read the books in the living room. Now, what's a Heiki summoned?"

Yuki: " A Heiki is summoned by resonating with it. In other words, you have to feel it inside of you and focus on it in other to summon it."

Ryuu: " That is also correct. since you might have guessed, today's training will be focused on summoning your Heiki. Everyone except Lix concentrate. block your surroundings and focus on hearing its call."

Everyone did as Ryuu instruct them and focused themselves to find their Heiki. The first one to hear the call and resonate with it was Makoto. She lifted her left hand forward and a light covered her hand and in brief seconds, the light disappeared revealing what it look like a double-bladed spear. the blades of the same were curved and gold and the handle was made out of a strange green metal that she didn't recognize. The others felt astonished and surprised at how quick she summoned hers. Ryuu looked at her directly while some words came out of his mouth...

Ryuu: " I see that you're the first one to summon yours, congratulations."

Makoto: " Thanks,"

Ryuu: " The rest of you, continue with your training."

The ones left were Eiji and Yuki who haven't summoned their Heiki yet. After one hour, Yuki summoned hers which was a nagamaki, a sword with a long handle that resembled the naginata. The blade of the nagamaki was light blue, the handle of the same was purple and the guard was gold. Eiji saw what happened and felt frustration from within...

Eiji: " Damn it, why can't I summon mine!?"

Ryuu: " Patience Eiji, not everything will come immediately. You just need patience in order to complete what you want, of course, you also need to stay calm. Now, concentrate."

Eiji did as he was told and resumed his training. After 30 minutes, Eiji finally summoned his Heiki which was a double-edge katana. Ryuu looked directly at Eiji and spoke to him...

Ryuu: " Congratulations Eiji, you finally summoned your Heiki."

Eiji: " I guess you were right after all."

Ryuu: " Anyway, the true phase of your training starts tomorrow, in the meantime, you can take the rest of the day free you deserve it."

Lix: " Eiji, let's train toge...."

Ryuu: " If I'm not supervising, you'll not train together or have a sparring match."

Eiji: " Why not?"

Ryuu: "Because, major injuries could happen in the process and because your Heiki isn't toys, they're weapons with immense power. Now, go and do some other stuff. Also, don't go to the cave at the east, that place is prohibited for y'all, understand?"

All: "Yes."

Ryuu: "Good. you're dismissed."

The group went inside the house and everyone took a bath. It was 3:00 p.m. and Lix was still inside the house while the others went to the nearby mall. He was still working on some sketches that he has for the characters of the story that he was writing when he suddenly heard a strange sound coming from outside the house. He went outside and looked everywhere but didn't find anything. He was about to go inside the house when suddenly he felt that something was moving on the trees. He summoned his sword and prepared for anything. After that, a cloaked figure went on and tried to land a hit on him but he blocked the attack. The cloaked figure back off 3 meters and spoke to Lix...

?: " I see that you have good reflexes but that won't be enough."

Lix noticed that the cloaked figure have a female voice. He prepared himself and focused on the enemy in front waiting for it to attack. The cloaked figure notices what Lix was doing and spoke to him again...

?: " If that's what you want, then so be it."
