3 Chapter 2

"Why are you here, gramps?" Ellreign asked her grandfather who was standing in the hallway. The old man showed her the lunchbox that she forgot to bring, she immediately stood up and get it. Her classmates greeted her grandfather even they were inside their classroom.

"You forgot to bring this that's why I'm here," he answered. His granddaughter scratched her nape because of embarrassment. She forgot to bring it because of the rush.

"Thank you grandpa Yumi," she said. The old man smiles wholeheartedly, revealing his still white and aligned set of teeth before messing her hair. 

"I'm going now. Study hard okay?" Ellreign raised both of her thumbs to show him approval.

"Goodbye gramps!" the old man waved her goodbye before Ellreign went inside to her classroom holding her bento box. She's not embarrassed if her grandfather made her a bento box, instead, she's happy because even at her age her grandfather still cared about her. The president immediately put the lunch box underneath her desk before leaning on it and closing her eyes to sleep.

"Ellreign, Mrs.Homer is coming over," Kiel said. By that, the sleeping president opened her eyes and fix herself. Ellreign ignored the pang of pain on her head caused by her sudden awakening.

"She's what?" the boy sitting in front of her is about to answer her question but a mid-30's corpulent woman wearing the teacher's uniform entered the classroom without a word.

"Good morning futile students." the teacher greeted them. All of their attention averted to the teacher who slammed her book into the table. Their physics professor; Mrs.Homer, is the only teacher they threw hate. She always made them suffer more during their hell week and she only went into their class if she was in the bad mood.

'You're the nonsense one here.' the president said to her mind. She's pressed her back into the backrest of her seat while wearing her stoic face and staring straight at the professor.

"Do you have a problem with me Ms.Trance?" the cranky Mrs.Homer asked her full of caveat as she notices the girl's blank stare. As the silence in the atmosphere got replaced by a suffocating profound atmosphere, Ellreign remained silent while the professor raised her left brow at her.

"Messing up with criminals like you is such a waste of time. You better sent into the calaboose and rot there," she said in full mockery. Ellreign balled her hand under the table into fists while trying to hold her anger.

"Aren't you a criminal too?" a raspy and deep yet dangerous voice of a boy asked her, making the professor startled. The class left in shock after the boy said that. All of the attention got thrown at the boy standing in the doorway. He's wearing a complete uniform but his polo has three undone buttons and his coat wrapped around his shoulder. The boy's hair is on mess and his gray eyes emphasize his dangerous aura but both sides of his lips twitch into a smile that sends a shiver to all of them. He is like a dashing prince making his grand entrance but there's no charming and warm aura, instead, it's wicked and the worst, murderous.

'Danger.' Ellreign thought while looking at the boy.

"I-I suppose the four of you are the new students, aren't you?" the boy stepped inside altogether with the new kids like him.

"We are." the other one answered. The remaining two remained silent while staring blankly at the professor.

"Introduce." the boy who answered their professor's question earlier who volunteered in the four of them perambulate first into the front and their cranky professor got hindered behind him.

"I'm Samuel Valdez, 20 years old. Nice to meet you and he is my twin" he pointed to the dashing king of the darkness beside the two silent students. A lopsided but warm smile plastered into the boy named Samuel's lips lightened up the heavy air that filled the four corners of the room. After he introduces himself, it's the king of darkness's turn.

"I'm Felix Valdez." he while looking in the president's direction and smirked. The president herself raised her brow at him but the boy didn't mind.

Their class full attention got averted by the new set of twins in front of them, wondering why the two are looking at each other.

"I'm Hiro and he's Haru." they both said, making the whole class and even the professor confused. Well, who doesn't? They both said their names in unison. Furthermore, both of them shared the same innocent yet perfect face as if they're sort of like an anime character who turned into reality. The same height is 6'2, the same white as snow skin. Also, their body is built; masculine yet skinny but not too skinny. Moreover, they have the same features like; their run-out of melanin hair and their almond-shaped eyes but there's a little difference between the two of them, the other one have amber-colored orbs that you can even compare into the burning sunsets. Another one has a lighter shade of blue, and you can even compare it into the sky during sunny days he does have dark bags under his eyes that look like smudged eyeliner, indicating his sleepless nights but that makes him more charismatic than his older brother. The twins looked at each other while asking each other too why both of them speak in unison again just by exchanging looks. The other one nods his head before wearing his eyeglasses.

"I'm Haru." the boy with amber-colored eyes said with a playful smile on his face.

He looked in Ellreign's direction and waved his hand, making the president confused also the rest of the class.

"I'm Hiro." the other one said in an emotionless way. The boy wearing eyeglasses is about to sit but the professor stopped him. His twin put his bag on the right side of their president to reserve it for him before sitting on the left chair beside her.

"What's your surname?" Mrs.Homer asked.

"We don't need to answer it. It's for you to find out, Mrs.Wyndalline Homer." the boy named Haru spat before his twin, Hiro pulled the chair beside Trance, the professor left speechless, frightened, and shocked. He handed to Haru his bag and sit on the chair.

'Great. The two of them were seated beside me. I think I can handle these two jack frost.'

Their professor exited the room and did not even bother if she hasn't taught them yet. All of her classmates aside from the new kids pulled out their gadgets to play mobile games like what they used to do while the others are playing a game with blindfolds on. Trance never speak a word nor move any muscle because the twins on both of her sides because they did the same. She knew that what she was doing right now is rude but she's tensed up and stiffened.

"Hey." she almost jumps from her seat when the amber-eyed boy with a playful smile called her attention. His twin stretches his arm behind Ellreign and smacks his head.

"What?" he asked him in full annoyance.

"You scaring her," he answers his twin using his terrible English just to annoy him more. Trance tilted her head just to face him because she remembered someone. She's scanning his face now, making the younger boy confused but his face remained emotionless.

"Both of you, your faces---" Ellreign is about to speak but the boy behind her cut her off.

"Snap out of it. Of course, we have the same face, what is the point of being called twins if the other one looks like a sh*t." by that, his twin smacks him again.

"You're a piece of sh*t already." Ellreign giggled at their actions, making the twins stop from throwing glares at each other.

"What's your name and age?" the boy on her left side asked her. The president pressed her back at the backrest of her chair before looking at him.

"Trance Miyazaki and I are 18 years old. They're calling me 'Ellreign' here because it's from words 'Hell' and 'Reign' and when you put it together, it will become 'Ellreign'. Also, they're calling me that because they say that I rule the devils and make them follow my orders." she said with a smile. Haru understands her statement but Hiro didn't but minutes after his mind finally picked up what 'devils' she was referring to.

"I told you my full name, mind to tell me what's your full names?" the twins remained silent, making Trance feel that she offended them.

"Uhh...It's fine if you don't tell me." the twins looked at each other before looking at her.

"We fooled the teacher." the one said while holding his laugh. The twins give a high five at each other before the amber-eyed is calming and holding himself to not burst out his laugh.

"I'm Hiro." the amber-eyed boy on her left side said while pointing to himself.

"That's Haru." Ellreign stared at Hiro first before his twin then crossed her arms. The twins exchange glares while blaming each other because they're thinking that Ellreign thinks they're lying just by using their eye contact.

"I'm believing the both of you," she said. Hiro smiled while Haru looked away. The king of the darkness of the new students is just watching the three of them in a full grimace.

"It's so unusual for the twins to speak more than 2 words. Seeing them being friendly and approachable around others is like we're searching for nothing." his brother, Samuel said. The older one shrugged his shoulders while still staring at them but he never takes his eyes off the girl.

"That is because it's the first time that a girl didn't try to flirt with them nor showed any affectionate moves towards them," Felix replied. The girl stop laughing and looked in their direction, making him act like he didn't stare at her.

"Nice act." he glared at his twin but the other one just chuckled. Samuel doesn't even mind if his twin throws death glares at him, the only thing that invades his mind right now is their friends; Haru and Hiro on the other side.

"She seems like not the same as the other girls that we have met. Look she's not afraid to her criminal classmates." Samuel added. The king of darkness, Felix just shrugged and leaned into the backrest.

"Does it matter? She's just acting tough in front of us but looks at her, later on, she's going to cry. That one is just a mere stupid girl. She's not even the one that we looking for." Felix said while stealing some glances at the girl. His twin shook his head before letting out a sigh.

'There we go again.' the younger one said to himself.

"You know if I were you, I won't do that." he tried to stop his mischievous twin but it was too late for him. The older one already making his way towards Ellreign.

"My grandpa likes cooking that's why he always makes a bento box for me." their conversation got interrupted when the king of darkness himself pulled the chair in front of Ellreign's desk and seat into it like a king. He slammed his feet into her desk while smiling mischievously at her.

'What a shame Trance, you forgot the other two.' Ellreign looked at his well-polished shoes then her gaze got averted into his face. The twins' expression dropped dead while looking at him. Haru met his gray eyes who screams danger and wickedness but the king of darkness smirked at him and did not mind the younger one's threat. If Ellreign is not on his side now both of them will kill each other and Haru won't mind if some of their blood got spilled into the cold floor.

"Uhm, May I help you?" Felix averted his gaze to her before removing his feet from her desk. His smile vanished as he looks at her electric blue orbs. He feels something inside him, and that is; familiarity.

"I heard you are the classroom president here. You tamed the criminals and delinquents like them, what kind of way or method did you use for them?" he mockingly asked her. The twins looked at each other before glancing at the king of darkness in front of them. As the deafening silence filled the air between the four of them, Hiro is calming himself while Haru remained emotionless. Ellreign stared at him for a while before venting out a laugh, breaking the silence and lessening the intense aura.

"I have my ways," she said while calming herself. The boy in front of her smirked before standing up from his seat and slamming his hands into her desk, making the president confused. Every time Trance looks at him directly into his dark and piercing eyes, she's confused why she's not frightened nor any emotions that indicate fear.

"What kind of way? Like f*ck?" Ellreign flinched before wearing her stoic expression again. She's insulted by his words and now she's having an urge to hit him using the chair where she's sitting too. Their classmates' attention got averted into them as they hear his words. Trance look at her classmate and shook her head to stop them from making any violent actions.

"Are you thinking of that?" the king of darkness smiled playfully at her and raised her chin using his index finger to make the president face him.

'If this one won't stop I'll probably going to stop him from doing this.' she thought while having eye contact with the wicked king.

"It seems like you're good in bed tho. I wonder how many times you------" he got silenced when a punch landed on his face, making him forcibly remove his hands under her chin and making him accidentally hit his back at the chair behind him. Their class is taking an action to stop the wicked one and the white-haired amber-eyed from brawling in front of their friend but they stopped when they were silent and still seating like nothing bad is happening Haru look at them.

Even the boys themselves got shivered and almost rooted into their feet when they meet Haru's blank yet deadly gaze. They're way too many than him but they can't even look at him directly into his eyes. Samuel stood up from his seat and so as Ellreign to stop the two brawling boys. Trance is way too confused why Haru holds her hand just to stop her from taking another step and doing another foolish action.

"Better not to touch and talk to her using your filthy hands and ways, Valdez," Hiro growled before dodging the punch from the wicked one before it lands into his face. Felix wiped the metallic taste liquid coming from the small cut on his lower lip before smirking devilishly.

"Too late." he pushed Hiro into the ground and landed a kick on his chest. The crowd went crazy as both of them exchanged attacks.

"I should stop them Haru, let go of me." the silent one pulled her back into her seat and hold both of her shoulders. Their classroom got filled with chaotic cheers while the two boys who are brawling in the middle got blood in each other's hands and other parts of their faces.

"It's easy to say but I know you can't stop them by yourself, Trance. If you think you can stop them by your so-called 'ways' you're wrong." Haru gently said before removing both of his arms from grasping her shoulder then he put his eyeglasses into his desk. He gives her a reassuring but lopsided smile then shoves the desk whose barricading the two. None of their classmates stop them since it's a great fight for them. Even Samuel can't do anything to stop his older twin because if he did, he'll be probably the one who's going to clean their whole house inside of one week.

"Haru wait!" before Trance stops him the silent boy swings his right foot to deliver a kick for his brother, making the older one get thrown one meter away from Felix and hit his head into the desk's feet. Hiro grunted while caressing his aching head but not minding his left waist where Haru's kick landed. Haru pulled the wicked king and punch him into his cheekbone then push him away from his brother. The brawling boys throw death glares at each other but they immediately stop when the silent boy shoved his hands deeply into his jean's pocket then tapped his foot into the floor, creating an eerie sound beyond the silence between all of them. Trance left speechless and can't utter a single word after witnessing Haru knocked both of them off.

"Here." he throws two sheathed knives at both of them. They both stared at the knives in whole confusion then got averted to him.

"Since the damage in both parties is not enough for both of you, why don't you kill each other then?" both Hiro and Felix are shocked but get back from being emotionless when they heard the silent boy speak more than 2-4 words. For him, the words; yes or no is good enough to stop someone from talking. Samuel let out a sigh before stepping in front of the crowd.

"The silent boy talks longer." Felix mockingly said even his right cheek keeps on stinging every time he tries to move his jaw. Two of their new classmates and Samuel help him to stand up while the other two students of section 10 help Hiro. Ellreign snapped as she turned back to reality and her sight landed on both bleeding boys.

"Don't start again Valdez. We both know if you pulled out one of the strings of discord of yours you'll be sent in heaven." Hiro grunted before shaking his head because his eyesight is getting blurry. Haru looked at his twin once more before averting his gaze into Trance and waiting for her decision for the two.

"We will go to bring them in the infirmary. The rest stay here," she said before signaling them to bring them out.

While walking towards the infirmary Felix and Hiro exchange death glares and they're about to take charge against each other but they both stopped when Samuel pointed at Haru who's walking next to Trance while blankly looking in their direction.

"Just be thankful that your twin is here." Felix spat.

"No one should be thankful," Hiro said before attacking the wicked one again. Once again, both of them landed on the pavement while both cursing each other while exchanging attacks. The other students' attention got thrown at them and none of them dared to stop the brawling jack frost and king of darkness. Even Kyle, Shin, Yen and Liam can't and even didn't dare to do anything to stop them because they knew everything about the new kids. Haru and Samuel didn't even mind stopping their brawling brothers, it's waste of time since Haru showed Ellreign how to stop them from fighting. That is; knocking them off.

"Hey! Hey!" Ellreign tried to pull them away but Hiro just slapped her hands away. She tried to stop them again but none of these guys followed her. Trance is so tensed and alerted at the moment till to the point she slammed both of the brawling boys' heads together just to stop them but she did more than stop them, she makes them unconscious. Hiro is laying on top of the wicked king and Felix glared at her before passing out. She sat on the pavement beside them while chasing her breath.

"You put them...asleep," Yen said while looking at her. She smacked Hiro's head and also Felix before Haru helped her to stand up.

"I hope these two will be the last who gives me a headache for this year." the exhausted girl said while dusting her skirt.

Six of her accompany carried two unconscious boys into their school's infirmary and lay them into the infirmary's bed gently but Haru and Samuel didn't do the same way on their brothers' heads, instead, they let it hit the mattress harshly and did not put some pillows for them. Their reason? "Their heads are pretty hard and strong, it's way stronger than someone else's rusted relationship."

"Trance is your name, right?" the girl flinched when Samuel asked her that question before taking his seat next to her. Her other classmates left the infirmary to go back to their classroom since they have a game to continue. Trance chooses to stay inside the infirmary because there's a chance that other students might pull her new classmate into their mess and four of them are her responsibility.

"Yes."

"I'm sorry for my brother's foolish actions earlier. He's... you know? Hellspawn." Trance chuckled because of the boy's humor but Haru tilted his head at Samuel, making the older one look at him innocently.

"You either," Haru replied, making the one pout like a duck and make Ellreign laugh once more.

"We both know I'm not! It's just the three of you." the white-haired boy remained emotionless before shrugging his shoulders and leaning into the wall behind him. His action is enough to silence Samuel.

"Four of you seem close to each other." Trance said while staring at the sleeping figurine of Felix and Hiro.

"We are. But my older brother and Hiro are always having a competition." Samuel chuckled while Ellreign place her palm on her jaw and tapped her cheeks and Haru remained silent. Trance is somehow amazed because Samuel is the complete polar opposite of Felix. He's talkative and friendly, too far from his wicked brother.

"The dean ordered me to tour the four of you around the campus but it seems like I should leave it for tomorrow since two of your friends got bedridden." Ellreign heaves a problematic sigh before leaning into the wall.

"I hope these two will be the last to give me headaches for this year," she uttered under her breath. The two boys sitting beside her probably heard her words. Samuel let a genuine laugh while Haru fixed his eyeglasses.

"Problematic guys acting brats are always ended up being a headache. Am I right, Trance?" the president playfully slap his shoulder, making the older guy laugh more. She can't deny it, even Samuel delivered it humorously he says the truth.

Seconds after, three of them filled with silence. Trance doesn't mind since she's thinking of something. Haru didn't bother it too because he doesn't speak much but Samuel is annoyed. He's not used to silent moments, all he wanted is to lighten up the mood.

"Oh my Haru! Speak some words!" Haru seems annoyed because he immediately woke up because of the older one's nose. Ellreign snapped from her thoughts before looking at Samuel.

"C'mon! Speak up! Use your voice! I heard you speaking more than four words earlier! Speak!" Ellreign shook her head and choose to seat on the vacant bed beside Hiro just to let Samuel and Haru on the other side. Samuel's voice echoed inside the infirmary and thankfully there's no nurse or other staff inside.

"I'm going to make ramen for you later so please speak now! Talk to me!" the older one keeps on provoking him but Haru fully ignored his existence and goes back to his sleep.

"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Samuel is now shaking the sleeping boy beside him, making Haru groan in annoyance.

'Can't he just shut his mouth? I always heard his loud voice everywhere.' he finally opened his right eye to look at Samuel's slender fingers around his arm before ignoring him again and moving away from a little noisy Samuel.

"Jack frost!" Haru gritted his teeth in annoyance this time and glared at Samuel.

Trance continues watching them before averting her gaze at the two bedridden boys.

"Shut up." the younger one said before pushing Samuel away, making him silenced. Samuel heaves a sigh before putting more distance between the two of them.

Hours have been passed since the three of them choose to stay inside of the infirmary. Their school bell rang indicating that it was time for lunch. Trance and the two new kids are currently eating inside of their classroom to avoid the cafeteria's commotion.

"So you're a Japanese, Trance?" Samuel asked her, making her suddenly stop munching her food. Trance nod her head before continuing munching her food. Haru looked at Samuel than at Trance.

"But your features. It's way too far from being pure Japanese, you know?"

"I know. Grandpa told me that my father is a British man and my mom is legitimate Japanese." Trance paused on explaining as she drinks her water.

"That's why I look like a foreign one. Well actually, I'm just using my mom's maiden name since I don't know what's my father's. I don't even what my parents look like. My grandpa told me that my father marries another woman and my mom is nowhere to be found." the president added. She flinched when Samuel tapped her shoulder and give her a comforting smile.

"You know? No offense meant, but I'm not begging for someone's comfort when every time I told them my story." the ball of sunshine boy laughs at her before tapping her shoulder again.

"Don't worry, Trance. You're not the only one who has a bad childhood in the room. Haru and I also. We're confused why a girl like you ended up in Priam Viddelle's class of criminals." by that, Ellreign's expression dropped dead, and look at Samuel with a stoic expression as her eyes held no emotion.

"I'm a criminal too."
