11 Chapter 11

The Jaguar looked different on the inside than Jason would have expected, it was customized to look like one of those classic cars with the brown leather interior and the wood looking trim. Jason was well aware of his surroundings and well aware of the driver. He was less irritable than he had been the previous week. Jason still couldn't determine whether it really happened, whether he dreamed it, or whether he just had a premonition of his future. Either way, Jason felt ready for anything.

"You seem quiet today, what's going on?" The driver had the same menacing voice, but it was softer spoken this time around.

Jason looked over at him, coldly staring. "I'm good, just had a long night."

The driver glanced over at Jason, he didn't respond. Jason's right hand held onto the handle of something in his cargo pocket, it was cold and metallic. He was ready to get this over with. Jason just hoped he would come out on top of it came that far.

The car pulled up to a familiar location, "Here we are, Jason."

Jason waited for the driver to get out first, then slowly followed behind. The container was open this time, Jason felt uneasy about this fact.

"We missed you last week, Jason. What happened?" The driver asked, stopping.

"I overslept." Jason said.

The driver gave a wary look, "I see."

Inside the container, two other men stood with briefcases. Three on one, Jason thought, too easy. Jason limped over, stopping just behind the driver.

"They have something to discuss with us, it won't take long." The driver said, motioning for Jason to step inside.

Jason stepped forward, noting the stance and demeanor of the two ahead of him. Once inside, the driver closed the cargo door behind him, leaving the four in total darkness until a light switched on. Jason saw, in the now illuminated container, the three of them facing Jason. Jason's hand was still wrapped around the metal handle in his cargo pocket.

"Jason, things have changed." The driver started.

Jason watched the driver closely. His senses so narrowed he didn't even feel his body aching anymore.

"We have something we've got to do." The driver began reaching into his jacket pocket.

Jason knew what was in his pocket last time he reached into it. He wouldn't take any chances this time. Jason drew the object from his pocket, and flipped the blade open, lunging forward at the driver. The driver reacted, but not quickly enough. Jason thrust the blade into his sternum and just as quickly, brought the blade to his throat, stepping behind him and slicing his throat wide open. The other two reacted in shock, backing away from Jason. Jason moved in on the two, kicking one in the ribs hard enough to send him backwards, bouncing off the wall of the container and falling flat. He dodged out of the way of the briefcase the other man swung down at Jason's head. Throwing a quick left jab, he stepped forward on his staggered opponent, backing him into the wall and holding him with his left hand by the neck as he plunged the knife into the man's chest and stomach more than ten times. The last man alive hit Jason in the back of the head with his briefcase, briefly stunning Jason, but not enough. This angered Jason, and he turned in a side kick, cracking the man's ribs and sending him flat on his back. Jason got down on top of the man and wasted no time stabbing him to death.

Standing up, Jason looked himself over, he was covered in blood. Shit, maybe the driver had a change of clothes handy. Jason looked through the drivers belongings, finding both a padlock and key for the container. That would be useful. Jason opened the door of the container and climbed into the Jaguar. The engine was still running. Jason pulled the car forward and parked it inside the container. he searched the back seat and trunk, not finding any change of outfit. After a brief cleanup with some wet wipes he found, Jason erased every spot he believed his fingerprints would be in the car. Taking all three briefcases, Jason started a long walk back to his cottage. He'd be slightly late for his group, but it was no big deal.
