4 That Was Close!

Li Zhenting was walking when his icy gaze suddenly caught sight of an adorable little figure approaching him with a cool and confident demeanor, reminiscent of his own style. A trace of doubt flickered in his eyes as he prepared to take a closer look.

"Daddy!" At that moment, a pretty little girl of about five years old, dressed in a pink princess dress, called out to him in a sweet and childish voice. She ran towards him, opening her arms with small, graceful steps.

"Lanlan." His eyes were immediately drawn to Lanlan. A rare tenderness appeared on his cold face as he walked toward her, opening his arms.

"Daddy, I missed you so much! Did you miss me?" Lanlan flew into Li Zhenting's embrace, hugging his neck and planting kisses on his face.

The image of her mother's swollen and pale face, filled with helplessness and sorrow in her final moments, flashed through her mind all at once. She clenched her fists, consumed by hatred.

"Zhenting." At that moment, a gentle female voice came from behind.

Shen Ning slightly turned her head and saw Shen Mei approaching Li Zhenting, dressed in a sexy sleeveless shirt and a dark green long skirt. She gazed at him affectionately.

"Mummy!" The little girl sweetly called out to her.

"Hmm." Shen Mei smiled and playfully ruffled her hair.

So, Li Zhenting had come to pick up his wife and daughter!

Shen Ning's eyes burned crimson, filled with anger.
