7 In your face male specie

Wait....she was supposed to take out the trash tomorrow morning she might as well do it tonight and put the one containing the shoes among them. Then she would sneak out and run to that shop to buy a few essentials.

She was on fire tonight. Maybe it was just her criminal genes she had inherited from her grandmother. Hahaha.

KNOCK KNOCK

She went to the door and opened it. It was Mr Smith. "Come on in" Mia said opening the door for him. Her lips widened to a grin when she remembered that the boxes were filled with bedsheets in place of her clothes.

Mr Smith quickly dropped the suitcases close to her wardrobe and left her room before she made another face that would make him loose his cool.

He'd been working hard at not asking her if she hit her head somewhere or something like that. Ever since they left her grandma's house she had been behaving very strangely.

First she kept sighing like someone had stolen her favorite candy. Then she started making faces. Before he could put the partition up completely he heard her hum a sad tune.

When his hand had paused and his eyes had raised up to see her expression through the rear view mirror, he'd seen her face back to the first expression she had been wearing when they left her grandma's house, only a bit sadder.

His heart had ached to see her pretty face looking like she had lost all hope in the world. Then he heard her recite something then change the words when saying it the second time.

Then her face suddenly brightened and when he was least expecting it she started laughing like she was crazy.

He had thanked the Lord a thousand times in his heart for not swerving and hitting the oncoming vehicle.

He was too young to die, but the way things were with this crazy bunch, he was sure he would die much more sooner than later.

Once again he started cussing everything that made him work for this crazy family.

From his stupid brother who recommended him, to his useless luck which hadn't given him a better family to work for, to his stupid hands and legs that helped him pass the driving test they had given him. All the way to his room he grumbled till he fell asleep.

Mia tied the end of the trash bag with her after tossing her purse and her makeup in.

She couldn't afford to forget her makeup, she was pretty but she wasn't going to steal all the hearts of the boys looking like plain Jane was she?

She dropped it in her room and went in search of her siblings. She hadn't heard them throwing any tantrums or watching TV with the volume of the TV a little too loud. She knocked on Jewel's door and peeped in.

The sight she met broke her heart. Jewel was sleeping on Jordan with her face buried in his chest while Jordan was holding her, a drool on the corner of lips. Mia smiled a big one then took a picture of them and made it her screensaver.

She walked over and nudged them gently. "Jewel" she said in a low voice. "Jordan wake up"

She pushed them for a while before they finally woke up. The moment they noticed their position each one fled to the end of the bed.

"How dare you take advantage of my unconscious state and rub your barbie drool all over me?" Jordan pouted. "Big sis you have to take revenge for me ok?" he looked at Mia.

"Oh please like you didn't hold me. No wonder I couldn't breathe well" Jewel waved a hand in front of her nose, her brown orbs twinkling with mischief "I thought the smell was from my dreams. Turns out it was you"

"You—" Jordan was at a loss of what to say. As he reached out to grab her a firm grip held him in place. "But Cookie, she was bullying me" Jordan faked waterworks.

"Thats no reason to hit her" she turned to Jewel "and you young lady respect your elders and...quit bullying kids" she added with a smirk.

"Cookie you are supposed to be on my side" Jordan whined.

"Sorry bro, girls code" Cookie fist bumped Jewel.

"Yeah in your face male specie" Jewel cackled and her older siblings moved back purely out of fear. There were times when Jewel would go a little...cray cray.

"Anyways...I'm not sure you how you will take this...but...I'm leaving"

Jordan: "..." huh?

Jewel: "..." Her head dipped a little. "To college" she said in a quiet voice, so her statement sounded more like a question.

"Yes to college" Mia had practiced in front of the mirror so many times but she forgot that instead of her reflection she would be seeing the down cast faces of her brother and sister.

And absolutely nothing would have prepared her to see them look so heartbroken. Her heart ached badly on her chest but she blocked off her feelings.

"Guys I'm sorry...but I was gonna leave sooner or later, might as well tell you before I leave" she glanced at her watch.

She had spent fifteen minutes already and if she was going to make it to the station in time she would need to run. Now.

Mia crushed the two of them in a hug and kissed their foreheads. "Take care of each other and no. I repeat no fighting. You have to learn to get along because family is all about love and....." Mia's face contorted as she remembered that her mom was family to her. "Yeah, I'm not doing this pep talk shit"

Jewel's eyes immediately shone. Mia rolled her eyes and tapped the nose of her baby sister, "no madam you may not say that word"

"But what about the literal meaning" Jewel pouted.

"The literal meaning?" Mia raised a brown at Jordan who just raised his hands in surrender and a soft "I don't know what she's talking about"

"Yes as in manure" Jewel clarified.

"Oh" Mia's mouth formed an 'O' shape. "Then lets stick to saying manure, hm?"

She went to the door and looked at them one more time before leaving. Jewel and Jordan knew better than to follow her because that would arouse suspicion.

Mia went back to her room and took the trash bag out. She tried to even out her breathing because one wrong breath and she would be thrown back inside.

"You can do this Mia" she encouraged herself.

"Where are you going?" a booming voice sounded to her left.

She swallowed and turned slowly to face the guard. She gave him a small smile and raised the bags in her hands. "I'm just taking out the trash from my room"

"Miss, I'm sorry I didn't know it was you. Pardon my curtness" he bowed his head slightly.

She waved her hand. "Its no matter" seeing her wasn't going to say anything else she added "I'm leaving now"

"Okay Miss" the guard went back to his post.

She heaved a big and very deep sigh of relief. She hadn't even left the house yet and she was being interogated like this, she really didn't feel like leaving now.
