001: Lara Huntz

In a deep valley surrounded by mountains is a small stone pathway. Following the pathway, we arrive at a huge arch with the words 'Greene Military Academy' engraved on it. Walking past it, we arrive at a seven story building with pathways in each floor connecting to a different tower.

A grand display it is, fitting of a castle. But the place we are at is not a castle nor a historical site. It is THE best military academy in the country of Rosweiles which creates the heroes of the nation.

Under the first few rays of sunshine, we walk past the building, to where the stone path leads. Behind the huge building is an arena surrounded by stone steps on all sides. There stands a girl probably six or seven years old, in the arena that was empty except for her.

The girl has soft wavy brown hair tied neatly in a ponytail and sharp blue eyes that seem to pierce through everything they see.

With a bow into her hand, her eyes focus on her target. She takes three arrows and places all of them on the bow.

It is still early and everyone is asleep so they miss the miraculous sight of a six-seven year old lass nocking arrows into a bow that is as big as her and pulling the bowstring until the bow is bent almost into a full moon.

She lets go of the arrows and they fly more than a hundred yards to lodge themselves into a tree trunk at the edge of the training field.

The girl slings the bow over her shoulder and slowly walks towards the tree.

Resting her hand on an arrow, she pulls at it. Seeing that it doesn't move, she places her left hand on her right and pulls with both hands. But the arrow refuses to budge an inch.

The girl sighs and then looks around to see if anyone was looking. Her hands slowly glow a blue shade as the air surrounding her hands lights up. She then pulls at the arrow and it slides out like a hot knife through butter. After pulling out all three arrows, she glances around once again and waves her hand to put out the blue glow.

When she waves her hand, a red wristband slips down her sleeve. It has five words painted on it : Lara Huntz - First Year Student.

She walks away after making sure once again that no one was looking. Straightening her back and acting like nothing happened, she leaves behind a tree with three holes that dug straight into it's center.
