Your wife is a genius

Looking incredulously at Lyla, he can not believe he will hear some shocking news. Two shocking news to be exact. What else is she hiding from him? Does he have to list out all the question necessary so that she remembers this important detail? And what about the information that Ron gave to him before? In the paper it says Lyla is an orphan and has been living in orphanage until she's 18 years old. Graduated and open up her own restaurant. Everything about it sounds legit but hearing what she said just now, he's not so sure.

"But according to what Ron gave me..." Before he could finish, he can see Lyla's face change. Guilty.

"Ahhh... you can forget about that. Hahaha... Let's just say i was annoyed by you leaving me for months and only comes home for a couple of hours and i just took pity of Ron because he can't find anything about me, so i created something for him. Basically, nothing is true there. Are you...angry?" She asked half-witted. Knowing full well when he actually glowered at her.

"Should i praise you instead?"

"Of course. Your wife is a genius. You should be thankful." Lyla just couldn't help to browbeat with him since she thought they were too peaceful. Sometimes it's nice for a little conflict.

"I'll get back to you about those fake information that you created. But first i want to know more about why you want to get back at your fake family. Who is your fake family? I want to know everything." He demanded. Lyla looked at him, feeling a little bit reluctant about the fake information part but she do want to tell him everything. After a few minutes of thinking, she told him everything regarding the Liam family. Where her grandparent were tasked to take care of her but they never told her about her real family. It was because Mr. Liam threatened her grandparent not to say a word about it. She told him everything, every detail. When it reach to the part where she were locked up in the house for three years Lyla only mentioned she was tortured mentally and phsically. Leaving out the details. Only the part she have been handling all those works for Grandeur Company, she told him in full details. Dylan could see that Lyla didn't want to speak up about what happen during those three years and it pains her. Seeing her like that, he force her to tell everything. What they've done to her. She eventually gave in however the colour in her eye changes. Both of it turn to dark purple and dark blue. Almost close to black and without the usual shine. He pull her close to him while she continue telling him how she finally escape at the age of 18. Now, it has been 8 years. He didn't know how she survive but she somehow did. It reminded him when she said that she's a genius. Was it really true? It's a pity she didn't graduate but she somehow accomplished more than he could possibly imagine. After she finish telling about her past, he couldn't help but to hug her tightly as his hand caress her back. Her face hidden but he knew he was crying. He let her cry because it has been tough hiding her tears for so long. Now that he's here, he's never going to let her hide her tears again.

For what seems like an hour, Lyla finally stop crying. She suddenly feels sleepy. Making herself comfortable on his warm chest, she let herself drown engulf in her sleepiness. Dylan who notice that she finally fall asleep, carefully pick her up and headed to the bedroom. He slide in next to her and she automatically roll towards him. It was still in the morning but he just want to make sure she's fine after telling him that ugly past of hers. People might say, give it time eventually they will forget about it. But that is never true because it will give effect in your everyday life whether they want it or not. Having being imprisoned and torture mentally and physically for three years is not something that can easily be forgotten.

"I'll revenge for you." He whispered to her. Although he left his position and everything else but that doesn't mean he doesn't have something else. He's called the King in the business world for a reason. It's his playground and with a small company, he can easily make someone bankrupt. He will use his wife company so she doesn't have to over exert herself for these hideous family. He'll talk to her when she wake up and to hear her plan. For now, he want her to rest peacefully.
