Walking down the aisle

"Wife, time to head home." After leaving Braxton he went to get his wife who's in the kitchen teaching the other chef there about new menu that she thought of. She wanted to make it by herself like she always do but Dylan stopped her. His reason because he's worried she will get too tired handling all the request. He saw how most of the locals there requesting her to make her special dish. And now that the town is filled with tourist, her small restaurant also become one of the place that they must go to. He rather see her doing paper work than cooking, lifting the heavy wok and other appliances. Lyla was in the middle of cleaning up stopped halfway when she can sense that his unhappy tone. Letting go of the steel bowl automatically making a loud clang and swiftly went to her unhappy husband, smiling innocently.

"I really can't take my eyes off you for just one second." Dylan said in a mild tone. Don't be fooled in that tone. It's full of fire.

"But hubby, i was only trying to help and it's what i always do."

"And then who will be crying later on because her leg hurt and cramp?"

"But i have my hubby don't i? He will be massaging my sore leg and my back. Aren't i the luckiest pregnant woman in the world?" Her honey words somehow made him happy. He knew he's going to fall the same thing again and again but he just couldn't help it.

"Come, let's get you home. So i can start doing my duty. And perhaps a little punishment for the naughty soon to be mother." Lyla was about to smile then freeze after hearing his last sentence. That doesn't sound good. Or does it? Dylan just dragged her by putting his hand on her waist. They still prefer walking home from the restaurant because Lyla insist it's part of her exercise for easy delivery. Dylan can only follow her way but the once muddy and rocky road has turn into a tarred road just so she won't have any accident along the way. Dylan also plant some flowers along the side of the road making it look pretty and smell nice. At this time of the year, the flowers are blooming beautifully. Lyla never get tired of walking down the road.

"Did you know? Everytime i'm walking on this road with you it feels like i'm walking down the aisle. All this flowers are our guest and when they spread out their fragrance it's like wishing us a happily ever after marriage. Thank you Dylan for marrying me and make me the happiest person on earth." She said while they were walking hand in hand. Dylan stopped and look at her while smiling.

"Then i must be the luckiest husband of all. Having you as my wife. You are my light in my dull world and for you i dare to take chances. I never regret losing all because i have you. And with you by my side i will always be the King that you wanted."

"I thought of living a simple life with you. But i never thought we end up become like this."

Dylan laugh loudly. She did mention that before. Living a simple life. A small house and a small restaurant with a small business. For the past few months, nothing is small and simple. Now they have a bigger house to make room for their babies. As it seem they're going to have triplets on the way. Their business bloom ever since they won the IRIS project in fact become most sought out company after Dylan took charge. And the people in the city recognize them as their benefactor for daring to change the whole city. He was just doing it to keep his wife happy. Whenever his wife suggest something, he would always settle it for her. So, everywhere they go the people would always greet them. The only thing that still small in their used to be simple life is her restaurant. The only place that she isn't willing to change. It doesn't matter how many people told her to expand her restaurant, she still won't budge. He understood her reason. She didn't want to take away other people's business and aside from that, she's just feeling lazy.

"And i guess we're never a simple couple to begin with." He replied. Nothing about them are simple. She's a genius while he's the King on the business world. It's not impossible keeping it hidden away.

"And i'm just trying to pass by." An annoyed voice interrupts their private moment making both of them turn their head towards the uninvited person. Dylan frown, Lyla grinned.

"Why are you still here?" Dylan asked. He thought Braxton already left after he went to get his wife. Who would have thought he still there.

"You think i want to?" Braxton said with the still annoyed tone.

"I asked him to come. Almost forgot." This time, Lyla was the one who answer.

"Why?" Dylan turn his head to Lyla.

"To give him projects." Lyla grinned devilishly. Seeing that grin of hers, Dylan can only send condolence to Braxton. He must have fall into his wife's trick. Wonder how will he react later. That would be amusing to watch. Changing his frowning face, he smile happily to Braxton making Braxton feeling uncomfortable.

"Then, welcome aboard." Dylan said and start pulling Lyla again. Resuming their peaceful walk.

Braxton had a strange feeling but decided to ignore it since he's interested in hearing what Lyla's project is all about. But he thought he heard projects instead of project. Or did he? His leg seem to move on his own following the couples from behind while his head are busy thinking what Lyla actually meant.
