4 Chapter | Four

Everything moved way too fast. Taehyung couldn't even comprehend how confused he was.

He was staring at Jungkook in disbelief, not being able to understand why Jungkook's eyes were a different colour.

Jungkook was stiff.

He knew that Taehyung noticed that his eyes weren't black anymore.

He looked down, and let out a breath.

"It's nothing..." he mumbled while looking to the side, his expression intensifying, causing Taehyung to feel like he was the smallest thing in the world.

"B-But-"

"Drop it, Taehyung." said Jungkook sternly, dominance, annoyance and so much irritation lacing his vocals.

Taehyung barely gave a nod as he felt once again like he was a nuisance to Jungkook.

At least now he knew not to ask a lot of questions...

No matter how many he had.

Suddenly, there was a flash of lighting and the entire class jumped lightly, apart from Jungkook, of course.

The raven-haired boy stared out the window and narrowed his gaze a bit.

"It's raining..." he said softly, voice low and stoic.

Taehyung snapped his attention to Jungkook and nodded weakly.

"Y-Yeah-"

"Do you like the weather?" asked Jungkook while he cut Taehyung off, causing the brown-haired boy to blink twice before he snapped back to his senses.

"U-Um- y-yeah...no? I just- I don't like the cold all that much..." he mumbled, his ability to speak properly coming back, much to his relief.

Taehyung hated how he stuttered around Jungkook. He hated a lot of things since he met Jungkook.

But mostly, he hated the fact that he would never be able to fully understand Jungkook.

Jungkook gave a subtle nod, humming in approval. He turned a bit to Taehyung after giving one last glance to the pouring rain.

"You hate the cold?" he asked as he raised his eyebrow.

Taehyung suddenly went in panic. What if Jungkook likes the cold!?

No, no, no.

He did not need another reason for Jungkook to hate him more...

Taehyung became frantic, not knowing what to say as he nervously fumbled with the hem of his shirt.

"I-I u-um- I just- I...don't like the cold, I hate feeling the unneeded...shivers down my...spine," he breathed as he gave a nervous smile, causing an unreadable look to appear on Jungkook's face.

Then, to Taehyung's utter surprise, Jungkook let out a short chuckle, his bunny-like smile becoming evident once again.

"Yeah, I don't like it all that much either." he said with an amused look at he looked at Taehyung.

Taehyung felt his lips curve into a smile, he let a small blush creep to his cheeks when Jungkook gave him another cheeky glance.

"But let me guess, you like how the scenery looks in the Winter," said Jungkook with a cocky nod and Taehyung felt his confidence creep back as he let out a scoff while rolling his eyes playfully.

"You seem to figure people out real quick, huh?" he said with a smirk and Jungkook let out a laugh, the sound lingering in Taehyung's ears, causing his blush to intensifying.

This was amazing.

He was so glad that Jungkook was talking to him. He was so happy that he got to see a different half of Jungkook.

But mostly, he was grateful that he got the chance to have a real conversation with Jungkook.

The raven-haired boy let a smirk crawl to his face as he leaned in towards Taehyung, causing the boy's eyes to slowly grow wider.

Taehyung's heartbeat increased and his face went even redder.

Jungkook was just inches away from his face Taehyung could only focus on his reddish lips, which were still curved into a smirk.

Taehyung gulped and this time he could see Jungkook visibly twitch, but the younger brushed it off and glanced down at Taehyung's pinkish lips that were curved into a nervous smile.

"You know, Taehyung," said Jungkook with a pause, his expression serious and his blue eyes now fixated on Taehyung's blushing face.

The brown haired boy let out a shaky breath when Jungkook leaned to his ear.

Taehyung felt Jungkook's warm breath on his ear and he couldn't focus anymore.

He felt dazed as he felt Jungkook's lips gently brush against his ear.

The raven-black haired boy continued.

"I can figure out a lot of things. But you, aren't one of them, trust me," said Jungkook and Taehyung could only shiver at his husky tone.

The raven-haired boy pulled back and Taehyung let out a shaky breath while looking away.

His blush on his face not disappearing anytime soon.

But much to his relief, and strangely to his disappointment, the bell rang and he was left to stare in awe as Jungkook got up after giving him a nod.

And with that, Taehyung was left to dwell on the fact that he and Jungkook just conversed.

"Figure...me out?" he mumbled to himself while letting a shy smile crawl to his lips.

He felt like a mess.

A mess for Jeon Jungkook.

Taehyung felt uneasy. In the midst of his slumber he felt uneasy, and it irritated him.

He felt like someone was staring at him. He had an anxious expression while he thrashed around in his sleep.

His breathing quickened and he panted heavily.

And with that Taehyung's eyes shot open only to be welcomed with something that he'd never imagine.

Jungkook on top of him, their faces inches apart and the younger's intense gaze lingering in Taehyung's thoughts.

Taehyung gasped, and shut his eyes, body going rigid as he jumped up, and just then, he realised there was no one.

He searched his room for any sign of the raven haired boy, but found himself franticly breathing.

"It w-was...a d-dream?" he found himself asking.

Taehyung fell back onto his bed and rubbed a hand over his face.

Let's just say, he didn't sleep all that well that night, since a handsome boy with black hair kept flowing through his mind.

All he could think of was Jungkook, and it was beginning to annoy him.

[Track: Be Alright -Taylor Swift]

"Wow, Tae, nice car," said Hoseok with a wide smile as he touched the leather seats of the car as soon as it came to a stop.

Taehyung grinned and turned off the engine. He was glad that he had found his friend on his way to school, and decided to give him a ride.

As they leaned against the car Hoseok's phone started to ring and Taehyung yelped when he heard the loud ringtone.

"Bang, Bang, Bang," said Hoseok with a wink as he repeated the lyrics of the song while showing Taehyung his finger guns.

Taehyung internally cringed when he actually laughed at the older's antics.

Hoseok picked up his phone and mumbled a few 'okay-s' and 'sure-s'.

When the call ended Hoseok groaned and smiled apologetically at Taehyung.

"Tae, I gotta go..." he mumbled and Taehyung gave him a small smile.

"Stop looking like a lost puppy. I'll see you later, right," said Taehyung as he patted Hoseok's shoulder.

Hoseok smiled and nodded enthusiastically.

"I'll be back by lunch. Tell our chemistry teacher for me, will you?" he asked and Taehyung gave a playful nudge.

And with that Hoseok left Taehyung in the school parking lot, in the icy weather.

Taehyung let out a soft sigh, his lips curving into a pout as he adjusted his gray hoodie, almost letting himself sink into it.

He got his phone and put in his earplugs, letting himself relax.

He closed his eyes briefly, soft breaths escaping his plump pinkish lips.

And when he opened his eyes, all his relaxation, peace and tranquility vanished when he saw an out-of-control car head his way, and everything seemed to move in slow-motion.

Taehyung couldn't even scream.

There was nobody in that parking lot while he could actually see his life flash before his eyes.

And with that, Taehyung shut his eyes, awaiting the excruciatingly painful impact of the car.

Taehyung fell to his knees, everything going black, and all that he could hear was his heartbeat.

There was a loud thud and Taehyung's eyes scarcely opened, only to be welcomed with a shocking sight.

There was Jungkook, one of his arms tightly wrapped around Taehyung's fragile frame and his other arm outstretched and stopping the car.

Taehyung froze.

His breathing becoming uneasy when he realized what had happened.

He glanced up at Jungkook and his breath was caught in his throat, making it even harder to breath.

Jungkook had stopped the car with his hand and it caused a dent to appear on the side, making it even more unbelievable to Taehyung.

The said brown haired boy's breath quickened and he had never felt so shocked in his entire life.

He felt like crying, and that was exactly what he started to do.

His breathing turned into broken sobs and it made Jungkook's eyes grow wide as he glanced down at the broken boy in his arms.

Taehyung cried in Jungkook's arms, and as much as Jungkook wanted to comfort the broken boy in his arms, he had to leave.

He had done something that he shouldn't have.

And the fact that Taehyung saw, made it ten times worse.

Jungkook growled annoyed and looked away. Taehyung was still crying, clutching Jungkook's shirt tightly, his eyes shut tightly as he just wanted to be held by Jungkook.

And the younger wanted to do just that, but he couldn't.

And with that, Jungkook carefully removed the sobbing boy from his arms and got up, students already running their way.

"I have to go," said Jungkook, his voice vague of any sympathy.

Taehyung cried harder.

"N-No- p-please d-don't go. P-P-Please," cried Taehyung hopelessly as he felt cold, alone and broken.

Jungkook closed his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows.

Taehyung still crying, bringing his knees up and hugging them like a lost child would.

"No." said Jungkook plainly, and he walked away.

And with that, Taehyung was left in the parking lot to be bombarded with students, crying the entire time, much to his ego's humiliation.

His mind only focusing on the fact that Jungkook left him there.

Alone.
