This isn't supposed to happen

While a heavy storm was raging outside, a man inside his room could be seen glaring at his PC screen.

Because of the ongoing storm outside, the man named Noah Jones, a 25 year old man had to stay home to do his work.

Currently, he was letting out exhausted breaths and was intensely focusing on screen, how hardworking.

How does this man look, Hmm? alright.

Because of darkness in the room, you might not see him clearly. But I can assure you in his current

state even zombies will consider him one of them, how hardworking, too much, I think. 

Zooming out, you can see him working on a wooden desk and a small digital clock placed upon it, 1:35 A.M. it's late.

At right side of table, you can see a big French style window. You can see rain continuously pouring down, trees in courtyard swaying, garden being destroyed and window itself quaking hard.

Taking in everything, one would think that's he is a very hardworking individual, same conclusion but...

"Damn it, focus Noah, you can do it only one chapter left, only 10K words more".

Why? why me, this all started when I had just finished my work and was ready to get myself dinner and rest peacefully. When suddenly a message popped up on my screen ~

First, I was going to cancel it. What It seems like I didn't have say in the matter as the novel opened on it's on. So, sighing I start reading it, a normal Academy life, fantasy novel. That's alright, but why are there more than 10K words in a single chapter.

"Arrrh, I'm so hungry, I hadn't had a meal since, the storm started " when did the storm started. It should 3 or 4 days ago. I should get myself something to eat.

Looking around, I didn't find close button. So, I directly pushed 'power off' button.

But the PC was still alive. I tried again but to no avail.

So, I silently pulled the main power cord and Suprise!! the PC is still working fine.

I know this isn't supposed to happen, getting up from chair didn't even cross my mind. With my blank mind I start reading the novel not thinking about anything else. I was so afraid that I only wanted to finish reading the novel.

After some time...

"Finally "

Without thinking I rated it 5 stars and finally the screen of PC switched off. The white noise of Pc stopped, and room is completely dark now and silent.

Suddenly, the lightning flashed, illuminating the room and you can see a man laying cold on ground not breathing, not moving. The person once known as Noah, now is dead...

Thursday, March 2351

A boy with golden eyes and slightly longer wavy black hair with some messy strands in front was standing still. Overall, the boy is very attractive not handsome but very pleasing to look at, like a cat, if it's makes any sense.

He was wearing an Academy uniform, a black coat with white lining across its edges, a black pant tightly fitted but also loose enough, forming some fold. Footwear were sneaker like black shoes perfectly matching with uniform.

Inside the coat one could see black shirt with silver wings symbol on collars. On closer look you will see that clothes are aren't made of normal fabric.

Back to the boy you will notice that his golden eyes seem to be dim and was in daze staring at air.

But then

Ding~

The black-haired boy's golden eye suddenly starts glowing like sun and he hurried pulled the coat over his wrist. Under which you can see a silver comm like a band on wrist, there afterward a hologram projected from it.

Currently it's 6:30 A.M.

Aidan sigh in relief "What a weird dream " wait in

the message just now my name was Aidan, was that. What was my name "Damn it's so fuzzy, my head is hurting " It will take 2 hours to reach the academy (Unkown knowledge) I should first reach academy then should think about it " I am confused, I don't remember Aidan, not know Noah, damn so confusing I should really reach academy first" Aiden talks to himself out loud "So, frustrating" Let go to station first and foremost.

After putting away my stuff, which wasn't difficult because of storage portal, it's a cube like device which glow blue at center of each face and triangle at each corner of it. It expands to become a rectangular mirror like portal to store stuff. It can also miniaturize itself to size of my hand which can be put in pocket.

Let's do something important now after thinking that I settle down comfortably at my seat by the window.

"So much leg space, perfect". This is very comfortable with heavy mind Aidan fell asleep...

~1 hour later~

I woke up and turn around, remembering where I was. I took a look at my comm. It only been one and half hour. Now then, no more delay let's face the reality after sleeping for while my mind has already seemed to have settled down. So, I have a clear picture now.

From my knowledge There is only one thing that can explain my situation TRANSMIGRATION more specifically transmigration to the novel last read with body of a mob character . In my teen, it was one of my favorite genres to read. I always dreamt to have a chance to transmigrate.

But as smart as I was I quickly realized the futility of it all and now, I'm transmigrated. Should I be happy or sad, Am I really dumb?

Just as I was musing to myself.

[Next stop New Dawn City in 15 minutes] came an announcement in pleasant female voice.

" My stop is next " sigh I should first try to not speak aloud every time. I will be in trouble sooner or later.

There is more pressing matter right now. I don't wanna check my status because I don't. If I get distracted right now, I might not be able to use information in my hands effectively. Firstly, I never fought anyone and first day of academy is not going to be without action, I need to find support.

I don't have past memories of this body but have some basic unknown knowledge, how this world works and don't have to worry about studying but main issue is still my abilities.

I don't know what they are, how they work especially now, that I can't rely upon intrinsic instinct of body everyone has, which comes with abilities.

Actually, I think my current self didn't even exist before me transmigrating because I saw nothing in my house in morning showing someone lived there before today.

I also don't have any parents in this world I am an orphan having inheritance as a house at one of most expensive cities, this doesn't make sense. I know I'm intelligent but I'm accepting the fact's calmly not questioning my reality. It's like... maybe it's only because I have high intelligent stats nothing to worry about, ha-ha. Maybe, I should check my status, but I don't want to disappoint myself.  

As on surface, my thoughts were in back on my mind.

There is definitely something suspicious, definitely there is some greater scheme going on behind my back.

I shouldn't think about it and just try to survive till the end? which I don't know.

There were only 20 chapters, couldn't there been more. I rapidly shook my head " Definitely not".

Now that I think, I'm not clear about my old life memories either.

Train finally stopped at station of New Dawn city.

I pressed the impression in solid surface of train below the window and with slide came out a compartment.

Inside it was a cube, I picked up the cube the size of my palm of my hand. I opened its setting and set it at rectangular module, and it transformed into smartphone sized device and put it in my pocket.

"Sigh, so advance but mine not even the latest version" I have to buy the latest one for convenience.

I got out of train walked for a while and step out of station. I stood there dazed beholding the beautiful sight of a futuristic city draped by orange light of rising sun this is the center of the world.

"Umm, it is a fantasy world, not sci-fi, is it? " After that I start moving around the city in fascination.
