6 It's okay now

"Seth, I am worried. Mia... will she be okay? "

Seth took Jane's hand he squeezed it a little. He gave her a little smile and nudge her hands towards the house. His gestures were like telling her not to worry, that everything would be alright.

He trusts that her daughter would be fine. She is somewhere out there, probably with Josh safe and sound. He truly hopes that Mia managed to run away to safety, away from that tsunami.

He will wait for her for another day in Ben's house. For now, he cannot do anything but wait. The situation out there was still unknown and dangerous. Remembering the condition of the road he took to go to Ben's, it was bad enough to cause accidents along the way.

All he knows that, most of the roads were either flooded or the landslide damages it.

He has decided. Once he received news that the flood is gone and it is safe to go out, he will look for her daughter immediately. His daughter is somewhere out there, and he is going to look for her no matter what.

-------------

On the far right in the corner of the house, Lucy and Suzy were both sitting on the couch. Suzy seems like she is in shock, and her body trembles a lot and she looks like she is about to cry anytime soon.

Lucy was holding Suzy's hand hoping to provide some comfort to her. She wished to tell her that we are safe now and ensuring her that everything is fine. Unfortunately she knows, by doing so would only be lying to Suzy and also herself.

Last night, they saw the most unimaginable things happen right in front of their eyes. They both saw how the roads collapsing, and there were countless number of cars were buried under the earth along with the drivers and passengers. It was scary to imagine being buried alive, and the psychological trauma to both the 19 and 10 years old, of that incident is not a trivial matter to ignore.

Luckily they only saw the scene of the earthquakes takes place. If Seth and his family were a few minutes later to evacuate their house, they too would be trapped together with the other unlucky residence in the tsunami.

While patting Suzy's hand, Lucy tried to calm herself. The dust keeps on falling every once a while. All the picture frame were no longer on the wall as the quake were strong enough to knock them down.

Once the quake died down, Lucy breath a sigh of relief. She looks at Suzy beside her with a warm gaze. She nudges Suzy's hand a little, a signal for Suzy to look at her.

" Suzy, do you want to drink some warm milk? I am thirsty. "

Suzy nodded her head silently to Lucy. Her eyes were still red from the crying. All these quakes were making her dizzy and probably because of her constant crying, her eyes were a bit droopy.

Lucy let go of her hands that were holding Suzy's and she walked up towards the kitchen. She saw Uncle Ben passing a tray with two mugs of warm milk to her mother, Jane. Due to the mild quakes, dust keeps on falling all over the place. Uncle Ben placed two covers on top of the mugs so that no dust can get into the drink.

When Jane saw how Lucy walks mindlessly towards the kitchen like a soulless puppet, she begins to worry. She forgot that her daughter was only 19 this year. To left Suzy to take care of her sister Lucy by herself during this moment took a toll on Lucy. She is not strong and mature enough to put herself together, let alone to console her younger sister.

" I am fine Mom. Don't worry. " Lucy gave out a forced smile to her mother and forced herself to look like she is fine.

Lucy took the tray from Jane's hand and she steps out of the kitchen without another word and heads back to the living room where Suzy is.

Seth follows behind Lucy and walks over to Suzy and he hugs her tightly. As soon as Seth hug her, Suzy began to wept sadly. She cried out loudly as if she is letting go of all of the grievances she held in her heart.

Seth looks up to have a look at Lucy, and he saw that Lucy also tears up at that moment. Both of his daughters were crying sadly and their cries were tugging at his heart.

Seth put the tray down from Lucy's hand and hug both of her daughters at the same time. They have both undergone through a lot today.

"It's okay, just cry. It will be fine after this. "
