4 Chapter 4- No ‘I’ in Team Pt.1

~No ones POV~

The 10 students go to the empty classroom to eat the food that they found around the school. Just sandwiches, bars and if they're lucky..water bottles.

The all quietly ate, let's say it's REALLY awkward right now.. Kiyoshi nervously looked at everyone eating then at Haruki, he looked tense and serious. He sighed to himself, he has to somehow lighten the mood or at least break the silence. He bit into his granola bar and thought on what to say..

"Skyler, don't hog all the food.." Amelia said to Skyler who actually grabbed more food than the others. She huffed at her and ate her food. "I'm being serious..! We need that to survive and-"

"Do I look like I care you nerd? No I don't, so mind your own business." She cut her off and bit into her food. Amelia nodded sadly and looked at the ground.

"Pffft ok keep all the food then, maybe you could be our bait then since you'll be fat when you finish all of that." Jason snapped back at her when he saw Amelias expression. A few snickers came out.

Skyler looked at Ethan, highly offended and threw a bar at him. He caught it easily and looked at it. "Sorry princess, wrong flavour I don't like peanut butter. Try again." He threw it at her very forceful and it hit her on the head! "Hey!" She yelled standing up glaring at Jason.

"Alright let's calm down guys.." Haruki walked between the two, looking at them both. They both nodded, Skyler left the room with Trinity and Mia. "Thanks Jason." Amelia said to him with happiness in her eyes. He shook it off but it was very obvious he was flustered by this.

"That was so cool dude!" Devin praises him throwing him a chocolate bar. Jason caught it and looked away. "It's nothing really.."

"At least you shushed her up for now." Kiyoshi replied to him looking outside the window.

"Damn...there's a lot of zombies out there.." Laurence whispered to Kiyoshi also looking outside the window. Kiyoshi nodded at him, staring at the zombies outside their school, the gate is still intact and they're all safe for now. "Sorry to ruin the mood but we will run out of food soon.." Amelia said to everyone looking at the leftover food. "I'll go through the school again and see if I can find some more." Jason mumbled to her and left the room. "Be careful!!" She yelled at him. "He's so stubborn at the times.." she sighed.

"He's only trying to help us Amelia." Ethan reassured her, she nodded but it was obvious she wasn't convinced. "I'm going with him!" Devin exclaimed, jumping up and running out the door. "Wait up Jason!!!!!!!"

"W-wait Devin-!" Laurence was about to run with him but Kiyoshi grabbed his sleeve, shaking his head. "It's not worth it, besides he'll be fine."

Laurence nodded quietly and walked back to where he was. The silence then returned with munches and movements by them. Soon enough, Trinity, Skyler and Mia returned to the room. "Did we miss something?" Trinity asked them all. Her voice seems a bit British...Kiyoshi thought. "We're back." Jason came walking in the room with Devin trailing behind him. "Sorry we couldn't find anything."

Devin nodded guiltily and stared at the floor. "Wait what?!" Skyler glared at him and then everyone. "Skyler calm down. We're just running out of food, that's it." Laurence said quite sternly. She huffed at him and walked to the other side of the room. "So then what are we gonna do now then?" Mia asked rudely at them. "Simple. Go out there and find some food and drinks." Kiyoshi explained to her. They all looked at Kiyoshi in disbelief, he's that confident to go out there?

"K-Kiyoshi maybe we should think about this more-?!"

"No. It's our only option. Survive or die, simple. I'll go find something around the school that could be useful." Kiyoshi walked out, leaving them all with shocked expressions.

~Kiyoshis POV~

"Not here..not here.." I mumbled to myself after looking around the teacher's lounge. I spotted a fire extinguisher nearby, maybe that can be considered as a weapon..? "Kiyoshi wait up!!" I turned around to see Ethan and Amelia running up to me. "You'll need our help, besides we are a team!" Amelia stated going in a classroom. They followed her in and searched around. "Where's Haruki?" I asked looking under a desk. "What?! Are you sad that we came and he didn't?!" Ethan said fake crying. Amelia giggled at him, really?

"He's fine Kiyoshi. He wanted to chase after you but Skyler said something mean about you and he told us two to chase after ya instead!" She explained picking up scissors. I stared at her in disbelief, is it true? Haruki really-? Never mind, he's just being a good friend..right?

"DONT FLING THOSE AROUND AND STOP CHASING ME!!" Ethan screamed while Amelia chased him around with the scissors. Kiyoshi laughed at the two and walked out of the classroom. "Ok scissors are my new favourite thing now!" Amelia excitingly said putting them in her pocket. Ethan looked at her in disbelief and back at me with a pleading look. Sorry! I'm not helping you now.

After we scavenged around the school we found a crowbar, more scissors, knives, baseball bats, tennis racquets, and some metal poles for no apparent reason. "We should carry three or more of each ok?" I explained to them. They nodded and we all collected the baseball bats, somehow some scissors and metal poles. Though Ethan brought the crowbar. We walked back to the classroom, discussing weird ways to kill zombies, for fun!

We all came back to find everyone looking serious and alert? "Is something wrong?" Ethan asked everybody, putting down the things he got onto a nearby table. Me and Amelia did the same. They all looked at what we brought then back at us, did we do something wrong? Haruki nodded at Jason and walked up to us. "Nothings wrong, it's just we're going out there to find food. Now." He explained looking worried. "Wait now?! That's way too soon!" Amelia shouted at him, angrily. "Amelia calm down, its the best we can do right now. Getting the food now then waiting is much better, please understand that." Jason replied, hoping she would agree. Which she did!

Haruki looked at the pile of 'weapons' and nodded happily, hah we impressed him! "Great choice of 'weapons'. I'm having the bat." He immediately picked up the bat and started swinging it. We all grabbed what we wanted to fight with, I grabbed a bat as well! Though Skyler and Mia didn't pick up one.

"Sky aren't you going to get something..?" Trinity asked to her picking up a metal pole. "I'm good..besides my Prince is here anyways!" She immediately ran up to Haruki and winked at him, disgusting. "Ok...Mia why aren't you getting one?" Trinity asked the same question only to Mia this time. She took something from her pockets, a pocket knife? Didn't know she had that.. "I can survive on my own don't worry." She replied putting it back. "But we have to work together Mia.."

"We don't, it's matter of survival. I can do this on my own if I have to." She walked out of the room.

"M-Mia!" Amelia called for her but Trinity shocked her head at her. Is she always this selfish? "Don't worry she's right...it's ok.." Trinity reassured her, Amelia nodded Hesitantly.

"Well then can someone call Mia then we can all go?" Haruki asked, Trinity nodded at him and sprinted out the door and called her name. "Mia!! Mia we're going now!!"

"While we wait, let's go outside now?" Haruki states, taking the lead. We all followed him, he is our so called captain after all! "Haruki are you sure about this?" I asked him, he took a while to answer. "If this is to survive then yes." I nodded at his response, he's so wise..

"Cmon guys don't be down! Besides uhhhh-

It's still the afternoon-? Zombies aren't that strong right..?" Ethan said unsure. "Correct, but some zombies can be active at daytime, at full strength I mean." I replied sternly. "Well look who studied?!" Devin patted my back smiling. He laughed, embarrassed by this.

"Hey I'm supposed to be mister positive!" Ethan grumpily said glaring at Devin. Soon enough, they had an argument who's the most funniest and most positive in the group. It really is stupid but it did entertain us all!

"Sorry we're late!!" Trinity came running up to us with Mia in tow. "She couldn't find her pocket knife, it's ok though!"

"Alright we're all set?" Haruki asked us, we all nodded confidentially. He smiled at us. "Let's go then!" He ran down the stairs, and headed towards the main door. We all got out to the front of the school. The zombies are at the gate of course but there's only....3?

"I thought there would be more.." Jason said quite sadly. Ethan punched him in the shoulder. "Be grateful bud! At least it's only 3." Jason glared at him. "Don't.call.me.bud."

Ethan put his hands in the air, apologising.

"Alright no more messing around, let's start." Haruki shouted at us.

I felt really nervous but excited...but will we find food..? Even worse..will we all live..?
