369 Intermission Part 4.

It didn't take long for Ryujin to take notice of my actions. I was staring at her more and more often for some strange reason, and though everyone else was busy focusing on those at hand, Ryujin has always been rather perceptive of his surroundings.

He's a very trusted advisor, so when he requested that I speak to him, I thought nothing of it.

"You asked for me, Ryujin?" I looked up at the towering man who stood like a building in a field.

"Yes, your highness." He knelt down and came as close to eye level as he possibly could with me.

"Stay away from Ame." His gravelly voice churned within my stomach. The way he looked into my eyes made me shudder.

"W-Why?"

"Because she is of low birth and you are of high birth. You are in the same party, but that is all you are. Do not forget your place, your highness."
