An Impasse.

My magical telekinesis held Kenji Fujima against the stone wall. The paintings and vases, each of which had been collected over the course of uncounted years, scattered around the room. They fell and fumbled, flying in all different directions while I pointed my inner fury towards the human in front of me.

Typically, when I would reveal my strength to someone, they would begin to wallow in despair. Their eyes would sink and they would soon submit to my every whim. Kenji, however, appears to be rather driven. He has this strange look in his eyes that I've never seen before.

Of course, he has a reason for that look. He knows that I cannot kill him. He also knows that I cannot simply let him go.

So that means that we have reached an impasse.

I stared the human down while he returned my gaze. A slight fury burned within me, though I used my best efforts to quell it before it turned into something that would impede my decision making.
