1 Prologue...

The world has reached it's end, everything has run dry, and now there was barely any water to live off. The only way anyone had access to it was by being amongst the rich and fortune. Unfortunately for Taiga, he had none of that.

The lone man had been traveling for weeks, his last bit of water all dried out. His body weak from dehydration and the heat wasn't helping him at all.

Taiga was almost at his end. He didn't know how much longer he could hold on. He dragged his feet through the scorching hot sun in the ruined city. There was nothing around him and nowhere to stop.

If he were to give up now, he would be dead. He was no quitter but, the heat was starting to get to him. He decided to take a stop near a collapsed tower, leaning heavily against the cool wall.

He sat under the shade of the tower, eyes closed and wondering how this all began. Everything happened because of the humans. Just thinking about them made him angry.

He never hated them, but after what they did to his parents it unnerved him. All because they were cowards who couldn't accept having Monsters living amongst them.

They took everything away from him that one night, and now the world was nothing but ruins. Their evil plan backfired living them to suffer as well.

Just thinking about it made him snort. Now the world was left destroyed because of the war, it became survival of the fittest. The humans had their own sectors but, some had formed their own little villages to live by, because of how expensive the lifestyle was within that sector. Mainly the poor lived out in the open. They become food quickly ,however, The Monsters were not too keen on having wandering humans so they ended up dead. There are still some survivors but, he has yet to see them in years.

It's not like he was looking for them, the only reason he was even out here was to search for water. He had no home anywhere. He didn't belong with the humans nor the foxes.

He was just a hybrid, closing his eyes Taiga sighed, laughing bitterly at life. He was a cursed child, so he had no right to hate or despise humans. He was just a hybrid of the worst kind. The only human he would make an exception for was his mother. He could never forget her warm gentle eyes and how she would hold him, her love brightened his day and reminded him that everything would be alright, no matter how bad a situation would get.

Without even realizing it Taiga had started crying. He felt so weak and pathetic but, the tears would not stop flowing. He had nowhere to go. No one would miss him if he died right now. He was like garbage anyways.

He silently cried for awhile, before wiping away the tears, and looking back up at the sky hopelessly. Slowly he began to lose conscious, and the last thing he heard before passing out, was the sound of a little girl yelling.
