68 Ranking

'So it was one of the high point giving materials. Does that mean all of these fruits are the same?' He thought. He kept the water peach into his inventory and reached out for another water peach.

<You have obtained 2000 points for 'Water Peach' >

'Like I thought.'

He picked the rest of the 3 water peaches and ended up getting 10,000 points at once. He went back to the shore and gave 2 of them to Pink Star.

However, Pink Star refused to take those fruits, saying she didn't do anything in this fight and didn't deserve the fruits. Obcisor wasn't going to be polite now, so he kept the fruits.

Obcisor didn't know where to go now. So, he randomly chose a direction away from the jungle and started walking towards it.

The current ranking for the under 50 competition was not fun to watch. The person in the first place was dominating the competition, to the point that a comeback was pretty much hopeless.

The spectators had at this point all but stopped caring about the points of the first person.

"Look, he just got 13500 points in less than 2 minutes." One said unenthusiastically.

"Is there even a doubt that he is cheating at this point?" the other one said.

"You guys think the person on the first rank might be a 'GM' playing pranks on us?"

"If that is so then it is a really bad prank."

The top 10 rankings for points looked as follows.

1. [5,982,343] - 84,326 points

2. [45,658] - 11,326 points

3. [118,658,558] - 10,996 points

4. [283] - 10,781 points

5. [685,453] - 10,281 points

6. [77,832] - 10,280 points

7. [992] - 10,264 points

8. [86,268] - 10,239 points

9. [101,168,584] - 10,236 points

10. [99,968] - 10,181 points

While most of the top 10 holders were a few hundred points away from each other, the player at the first place was over 70,000 points above the second place.

The spectators had even given up on finding the first-place holder and were just enjoying the other battles.

FlamingMouse came out of a dungeon with around 20 other players from her 'The Anarchists' guild. They were still at the Frozen Wasteland, steadily progressing through the game.

"Are we going back, or was this the last run?" one of the players asked.

"This was the last one. You can all do your own thing now. We will gather once more for the 'Ice bear' dungeon in about 3 hours." FlamingMouse replied to the group.

The Anarchists had multiple members, all separated into different groups. Each group was lead by one of the founding members of the guild. FlamingMouse was one of them.

FlamingMouse opened her friend's list and quickly located 'Slow Pyre'. She then messaged him.

<How is Uncle doing in the competition?>

<I don't know. You have to locate players manually, and there are millions of them in the competition.>

<Okay, I will search too.>

<You can't. Players are assigned numbers in the competition, and uncle looks nothing like real life.>

<Okay… Let me know if you find him. Log out from time to time to check if he is offline.>

<I don't think he is dead yet. His name, on my friend's list, is grayed out, but it still says 'Online'>

<Got it. I will watch the competition too.>

She turned away from the messages to look at her group. None of them had left the place and were all looking spectating the competition. She silently opened a stream of her own and started watching it.

Some time had passed since Obcisor had fought the crab boss. It was now nighttime, but the moon was shining brightly, and everything was still perfectly visible.

They had reached a river too large to cross and were now walking alongside its bank. They had made average progress along the way, finding some materials here and there, killing a few monsters here and there.

Although, Obcisor's notifications were still constantly going off as his skeletons kept earning him points.

As they were walking, a little further away they saw some silhouettes moving around in the moonlight. They were still quite far away so Obcisor couldn't see it very clearly.

There were about 4 silhouettes that were starting to take better forms. As Obcisor and Pink Star walked closer they realized the silhouettes were of players.

To be exact, there were 3 players while the final silhouette belonged to a feline monster. He could see lights flashing from time to time, as the 3 players used skills from time to time.

One of the players was fighting with a sword, one had a bow in his hand, and the final one had a staff in her hand. The feline monster was heavily wounded fighting the 3 players and was nearly dead.

Within a few attacks, the monster died. Obcisor decided to stay where he was and wait until those 3 moved away from the riverbank before continuing.

But instead, the swordsman saw Obcisor's pair and beckoned his group towards them. Obcisor could smell trouble brewing.

The swordsman was a massive man that had a rough look on his face. The archer and the staff bearer were wearing hoods, so their face was hard to see.

The swordsman came up to them and asked, " Hey you two. Are you a party?"

Obcisor looked at the 3, contemplating on whether to answer or not, before deciding to answer, "Yes."

"What's your class?" the swordsman asked.

Pink Star stayed silent. She wasn't the talkative type, to begin with. So, Obcisor continued answering the group, "I'm a warrior, and she is a healer." He said.

"Hmm… we don't need a warrior. We already have enough DPS. We do need a healer though. We could do well with a support player. Hey healer, leave this guy and come join us. We can kill monsters faster than you can with a single warrior. Look at this guy, I doubt he can even pick up a sword properly." The swordsman shouted.

Obcisor frowned. 'If you are trying to recruit my healer, then recruit her. Why are you insulting me?'

"No, I am fine. Thank you for the offer." Pink Star rejected their offer politely. While she was timid, and kept to herself, for the most part, she wasn't stupid enough to leave Obcisor, a man who fought 2 Wild Boss and killed them.

Obcisor's face didn't show any reaction as he had expected the answer. He looked towards the 3 and said, " You got your answer right? Now let us go our own way. Goodbye"

Obcisor started to walk the other way from the party of the trio. Hearing this, the swordsman started burning with anger.

"You actually dared to deny our offer? This little b*t*h doesn't appreciate our generosity, does she?" the swordsman said as he looked towards his 2 party members. He then turned towards Obcisor and Pink Star and said,

"If you are not going to be our party members, then the least you 2 can do is give us your points and die."
