11 Planning for the Future

As I sat under the raging waves of the waterfall that sat in the mountain, behind the back of my home, I thought about the future.

Since I plan on conquering the dungeons, I need to decide which ones to aim for, and what items I will need.

Of course, at this point in time, I won't attempt the dungeon yet since I'm not quite strong enough yet.

I also need to carefully plan out the journey, as well as the most efficient way to clear out the dungeon.

I also need to acquire some skills, especially the [Mind's Eye] skill. I'm not sure when I will be able to learn it. Once I do, I could head into my very first dungeon.

You must be wondering which dungeon I want to attempt? Well, it's the Amaterasu academy's dungeon.

It starts from floor one to floor one hundred. Obviously, every tenth floor has its own boss, with safety zones between each boss.

It is owned by the academy while being one of the easiest dungeons to conquer. The great thing about dungeons is that monsters spawn infinitely after a set amount of time, and so do the bosses.

It's as if the dungeons were a game. Of course, treasure that is found will never be spawned inside a chest again once it's been taken.

Another skill I need is the [Trap detection] skill. Since there are dungeons, there will, of course, be traps laid out.

There are three kinds of traps in this world. The first type is fatal traps, which like the name implies will be fatal if you were caught up in them.

The second type is delaying traps, these types of traps are relatively safe but are created in order to delay you from conquering the dungeon.

Now you may ask how that would affect you? Well, imagine that you are extremely tired and have made it to the ninety-ninth floor of the dungeon. Just one more floor, before you conquer the entire dungeon.

Now, if you were caught up in one of the traps, with your tired body, not only will it delay you, you may also fall into other traps while trying to avoid the trap.

Then comes the last kind, ero traps. Since this is the world of an Eroge game, such traps will, of course, be implemented in the dungeon.

Just imagine, one day, the protagonist and the heroines are trying to clear out the dungeon. Then, suddenly they fall into a trap filled with cloth-dissolving liquid, leaving them either completely naked or very close.

Such traps are the more common kinds of traps. In the game, the fatal traps would just result in a game over, making you restart.

But now that it's real, of course, I wouldn't be able to restart. If I die, I will really die.

Now enough about this.

I stop thinking about it, as I cleared my mind of thoughts and quietly sat under the waterfall, almost naked.

Soon enough, I stood up from my spot underneath the waterfall and turned around to face the raging water.

After sitting so long every day, my body had gotten used to the pressure from the water. At first, my body stumbled and shook violently, before I was able to sit calmly under the water.

Now, that my body had gotten stronger, I could sit under the water, without budging, as if there was nothing at all.

I faced the huge waterfall and stood tall on the boulder I used to sit on.

I used my [Body Reinforcing] magic on my right arm as I looked above at the sky. Bringing back my right arm, I sent out a punch with all my current strength.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The huge waterfall was split in half, while drizzles of water fell on me like rain.

My punch had split the waterfall in half for a few moments before it started returning to normal.

Not only that, the clouds above the spot I was standing at, disappeared completely, leaving behind only the blazing sun that shone upon my body.

I was satisfied with my current strength, I could probably clear the fortieth floor on my own, within a short timeframe.

If others could read my mind, they would think I was insane.

Even though the Amaterasu is a beginner level dungeon, it is still a dungeon that is filled with danger lurking at every corner.

In the game, Rei-senpai and a few other second years went on an expedition into the dungeon. The group of ten or so spent an entire six months to reach that point.

Of course, they didn't sleep in the dungeon, they would return home and continue their daily lives which included school before heading there each day.

Even so, six months is the current fastest record to reach the fortieth floor, form the first. Of course, the students who went were all strong.

Rei-senpai being a heroine of the game, is of course much stronger than her classmates, even so, she would still need their help in order to clear the dungeon.

The Amaterasu magical academy has a special rule. No matter your year, if you are able to clear the sixtieth floor, you will be able to graduate upon your return to the academy.

Of course, there have been students in the past who have successfully completed it before the end of their third year, there are even those such as the current Student Council President, who had done so during her second year but chose to remain a student.

But that's not all, in order to graduate, one must absolutely clear the sixtieth floor whether by themselves or in a party of no more than ten. If they fail to do so, they are either expelled or have to repeat until they can do so.

Of course, it would stay on their record, if they fail to do so the first time.

At this point, I could already clear up to about the fortieth floor with my current strength. The disparity between the fortieth and sixtieth floor is quite vast.

Let's say that the boss on the fortieth floor is level ten, then the boss on the sixtieth floor would be level thirty. Each level is quite large as well.

But at this point, my strength could be considered to be powerful even amongst the third years as well as the heroines.

Once the water returned to normal, I wore my clothes before heading back to the mansion.

When I arrived, I could see Lumi and Stella in the living room.

"Hello."

"What are you guys doing?"

"Ah, Hiro-kun, Stella is helping me with my magic training, I'm having some trouble."

"Oh, I see."

"Haruhiiro-sama, would you please take over and help Lumiere-sama with her training? I need to do some housework."

When Stella asked me that, I didn't get to agree or disagree before the two of them started whispering amongst themselves.

[Lumi's POV]

"Stella, what are you doing?!"

"Fufufu, no need to be embarrassed, Lumiere-sama. Isn't this a good chance for you to get closer to Haruhiro-sama?"

"You're right, but you can't just suddenly impose on him. Of course, you did a great job."

"Fufufuf, Haruhiro-sama is a kind person, he won't reject your plea for help. Besides, he is a male, would there be a man who would decline the request of a beautiful lady such as yourself?"

"I see, you're right. See you later then, Stella."

"Of course, good luck Lumiere-sama."

Stella bowed respectfully to Lumiere before leaving the living room. Standing there, I told Lumi to give me a moment to change my clothes before heading down to assist her.
