9 Look Buddy

As his hand fell away from my mouth I swayed towards him my eyes falling closed ready to feel his lips against mine and.. nothing. He didn't kiss me!!

So to recap I'm standing here in front of him with my eyes closed clearly waiting for a kiss that isn't coming and praying for the earth to open and swallow me whole!

With my face burning I tried desperately to come up with a believable excuse but had nothing. Opening one eye I peeked at Blade and he was smirking at me and my shame became rage.

"Look buddy"

I started, index finger poking his chest fiercely with each word

"it may look like I wanted you to kiss me but I didn't! I was feeling dizzy because of the being sick - which we already discussed so you should pay attention!"

Closing his fist around my finger he pulled my hand up and over his shoulder until I was on my tip toes and then he brought his other hand under my chin tipping my head back so we were eye to eye.

"Wildcat we both know you want me and I intend to thoroughly kiss. Every. Single. Inch. Of. You."

My breaths were becoming embarrassingly close to pants and he leaned even closer to me his breath mingling with my own.

"But only when you beg me"

with that he pressed a swift hard kiss against my lips then released me.

"Briggs my driver will see you home, our engagement party is next Saturday and I'll be inviting your family. Saturday morning you'll go and see a stylist and get your hair and make up done as there'll be paparazzi at the party."

Smiling mockingly at me he turned and left and a man in a drivers hat appeared moments later introducing himself as Briggs.

It was only as I walked to the car that I realised my fingers were pressed against my lips.. where his lips had been.
