1 Meeting the Parents

Her parents room held only urns.

"But, can you read them?" Ritu asked. Alexis shifted his weight. "I can, but it doesn't matter. They're gibberish." An urn shifts.

Clink.

Stepping more into the room, Alexis picks up the urn laid with silver. It nearly floats out of his hands. The Urn shakes in steady hands.

Cl-clink!

"Don't spill them!" says Ritu.

The other urn shifts instead.

Clank-kuk.

"Spill?" says Alexis. "How wo-"

Clunk-cur! An urn fall stops before it can begin.

!CRASsh?

Ritu plucked the gold laid urn out of the hollow space. "Yeah, sometimes they're not so empty." Ritu said. "Is that good or bad?" says Alexis. Ritu grimaces. Alexsis continues. "I need to know if I'm an urn-half-empty kinda guy."

"It's great, obviously" she puts back an urn. "It's generally good when urns are full of ashes, otherwise they could just walk away. It's even better when they aren't there."
