1 They came in Sheep clothing

It all started like a normal religious evangelistic campaign. Several men with white robes stormed our small town and started preaching a different religion from ours. While we believed that we know what the bible says and Christianity had been engraved in our hearts, another group of religious sect came long with a bible and a Quran ready to challenge our beliefs. There was no one willing nor ready to have a religious debate with them. Thus, they started preaching their gospel bodily and courageously since no one in the village was ready to engage in a theological battle with them. Their conduct was good and was congruent with the villager's needs. Aside from their different beliefs and religion, they seemed like god people with wearing long veils like priests and acting holy from morning till evening. they performed their prayers five times a day regardless of where they were or what they were doing

The villagers respected them and appreciated them for they did not quarrel with anyone. They made a small masjid in the village where they used to perform their prayers. water from the masjid was given fr free any anyone who wanted water was welcome to get water at any time. they started getting more followers from the villages. While it has been in the African culture for a man to marry several wives, the Christian religion had stopped men from doing so. However, the new religion permitted men to marry up to four wives which were in line with biblical texts which they regarded as sacred. While they were using the bible, they also had another book called the Quran which was supported by other books called the narrations.

The new group came with a religion called Islam and they campaigned for it vehemently. Amongst the tactics they used to persuade the villagers was by solving problems affecting people. for instance, they dug a big borehole around the mosque and gave water for free. A major problem that was affecting the villagers was unemployment. Young men in the village are idle and earned from a job. The newly established Islamic group gathered all the young and unemployed men in the village and opted to employ them. However, they could not work in mosques unless they were Muslims. Therefore, they were told t recite the shahada before getting a job. The shahada is an Islamic declaration that there is no God but Allah and Mohamed is his prophet. While the shahada may sound simple, the words are binding for one has already decided to become a Muslim and follow the Islamic teachings.

Unknowingly, the young men in the village had committed to a lifetime oath that they will preach and uphold Islamic values at all times. Though they did not feel the impact, they seemed to enjoy the benefits. only a few young men refused to recite the shahada and went back home. However, for those who accepted to recite the shahada. Life seemed bright for them. They were paid approximately ten dollars every day to attend madrasa and work around the masjid. The workaround the masjid was to cut the grass and arrange some blocks then get in class for madrassa. The madrassa lessons opened their eyes to what they had come to. they were to follow the sunna of Mohamed regardless of what they feel. They did not have an option to leave since they were being paid to continue learning. They started learning war techniques and why they need to kill kafirs.
