210 — Their Wedding Night —The First Half

The formalities at the airport didn't take too long, and in no time at all, they were on their way.

They got to Country Y just as the sun was setting. Country Y was an ideal romantic destination, but it was not easily accessible to tourists due to the stringent requirements for a visa.

But Li Chuanmo had no such problems. As soon as Pei Yueran decided to leave the decision to him, he had begun working on it. In his opinion, if one wanted to do anything at all, they had to do it very well. He wanted their honeymoon to be special.

Looking at Pei Yueran's elation, his effort was definitely worth it.

They checked into the hotel he had reserved months prior. As one of the biggest hotels in Country Y, the ambience and customer service was top notch, making Pei Yueran look forward to the week ahead with anticipation.

They were taken to their room — a presidential suite, and told to call the room service if they needed anything.

While Pei Yueran went to the bathroom for a quick shower, Li Chuanmo ordered their food and left a message for the family that they had arrived safely.

Coming out in a bathrobe, Pei Yueran went to the walk-in closet where she had dropped her suitcase earlier to get a nightdress to wear. But when she opened it, she stared in surprise.

Her first thought was that she carried the wrong suitcase. But that wasn't true. She could recognize the box she bought when she went shopping a few months ago. Even the keychain she had attached to it was still there.

Then she looked again. Most of the clothes she had packed were nowhere to be seen, only some garment scraps, some of them so flimsy that Pei Yueran was embarrassed to even bring them out.

Then amidst the chaos, she saw a note. In Su Qianhua's "neat" handwriting, it said, "Hey Babe, I was feeling generous, so I just decided to do you the favor of dumping out those maternity dresses you call clothes and putting in more useful garments. Thank me later, and enjoy your honeymoon!" It was complete with emojis of hearts and kisses.

Pei Yueran crumpled the paper with force, picturing her best friend in her mind. This Su Qianhua was a real troublemaker!

Even if she had to wear sexy undergarments, what about clothes? She couldn't possibly go around in just underwear, right?

She held her head, feeling a headache coming on. When she heard Li Chuanmo calling for her, she picked a random garment that looked like a gown and put it on while responding that she would be out soon.

The spaghetti strap "gown"—if it could be called that— was not only transparent, it only reached the top of her thighs. Resigned, she just threw on a dry bathrobe she found in the closet and tied the belt tightly.

It would have to do.

She was still not sure about how the night would go, but she wanted to work on her emotions first.

She took a deep breath before walking towards the table for two where their dinner had been set up. It was a simple fare with two plates of food and a bottle of wine.

Li Chuanmo, who had also taken a shower, gave her a strange look when she walked out still in a bathrobe, "I thought you wanted to wear something comfortable."

"Yes, but somehow I don't have anything suitable. Maybe we can go to a mall later tomorrow to browse around." Pei Yueran said.

Li Chuanmo didn't comment, he only nodded. He wasn't even surprised. Looking at how jittery she had been all day, he knew that he still had some more waiting to do.

Not that he minded much, but if the atmosphere suddenly heated up, he hoped he would not forget his resolve in the heat of the moment.

Still he was a tad curious, what was she covering with that bathrobe?

"Chuan? Chuan?" Pei Yueran sounded uncertain. She wondered at the spaced out look on his face. What was he thinking about?

He was brought back by her voice. Realizing what dangerous territory his thoughts were going into, he coughed.

"I'm sorry, what were you saying?"

"I said the food tastes good."

"Yeah." Li Chuanmo agreed. It was a simple but popular dish from Country Y— rice cooked in pineapple juice and paired with spicy chicken wings. Pei Yueran enjoyed it very much, though she did not eat a lot.

Then she opened the wine and poured it into two wineglasses, handing one to Li Chuanmo. "Cheers. To us."

"Cheers to us." Li Chuanmo echoed as he clinked his glass against hers before taking a sip. The rich and mellow taste filled his mouth.

Looking at his wife, she had her eyes slightly closed as she savored the taste. The way her neck moved as she swallowed made his own throat dry. Imagining her slender collarbones underneath that bathrobe, the room suddenly felt hot.

Li Chuanmo knew he had set himself up for failure. This was going to be one long night.

With nothing planned for the evening, they sat together on the couch with wine and turned on the TV...to the financial news channel.

Both of them didn't think there was anything wrong, and even analysed the issue of tax embezzlement raised by the newscaster seriously.

Before long though, Pei Yueran was feeling sleepy. The events of the day were finally catching up with her. Still, she tried to finish what she was saying.

Li Chuanmo chose that time to look at her, and before long, his attention was drawn away from her adorable sleepy look to the distracting way her lips moved as she spoke.

When his lips landed softly on hers, the sleepiness that Pei Yueran was feeling vanished without a trace.

The touch on her mouth was feathery, like the wings of a butterfly slightly skimming the surface of a lake, but Pei Yueran was not feeling calm in the slightest.

The rich taste of wine exploded in her mouth as his tongue twined with hers. Was it really happening? Were they really going to do this?

While she was absentminded, Li Chuanmo was emboldened by the fact that she hadn't stopped him yet, and he took it up a notch.

One hand slipped into her bathrobe and cupped one soft mound, squeezing it slightly through the flimsy fabric he could feel through his slightly hot palm. He felt like he could get drunk on this heady sensation.

The pleasurable feeling went straight to Pei Yueran's brain like electricity and she moaned as her eyelids swung open. Before she could think the better of it, her hand went to his chest as if to stop him.

Li Chuanmo got what he thought was a signal and sighed regretfully. He hugged her tightly while trying to calm down.

Please don't stone me yet (if you were planning to— If not, then nevermind^^^) , this is only the first half of the night!

Thank you for reading.
