RT passed Tian with a cardboard box in hand. He set it on the bench before lighting a candle and setting it beside the box. Tian stepped forward, peering inside. RT pulled out one of the guns, opening the chamber to find it empty. He pushed a few cylindrical objects inside pressing it into Tian's hands. The gun was heavy and cold in his hands, he went to put it down, but RT didn't let him.

"You need to get familiar with guns," RT replied simply, closing the boy's fingers around the grip. He pushed Tian's hands up towards the target, holding it steady. "Use both hands."

He grabbed the grip with both hands. He closed one of his eyes, trying to aim for the middle of the humanoid target before he pulled the trigger. The recoil slammed his hands back, and the shot was wild, passing over the top of the target. Tian caught his breath, arms shaking.

"I don't like these!" Tian hissed, turning back to RT. He tried to shove the gun back into the much larger man's hands. "Take it back!"

"Your strength is unparalleled to any humans. However, there will be moments in your life where you can't use your strength," RT answered, reaching over Tian's small shoulders. He pressed up against Tian's back, forcing him to aim once more. "Don't be afraid of them."

"I don't like guns. It's too cruel!" Tian complained, but when he tried to pull away, he only further sunk into RT's chest. At 6 foot 7, RT's chest was almost as big as his entire torso. It was rock solid and clad in armor.

"It pains me to ask you to use them," RT whispered against the shell of his ear. "But I have no choice."

"The Kukouk never used these. I can handle fighting without your guns!"

"Look where it got the Kukouk, Tian. Your people were amazing individuals. Peaceful and spiritual, but their spiritual power didn't save them when the guns came for them."

Tian raised the gun once more, feeling RT's steady hand pressed against his own. "My people were innocent."

"They were," RT answered, hugging close to the boy. "Take your anger out on the target. Don't close your eye this time."

This time, RT controlled the recoil with his massive, muscular arms. The shot wasn't as wild, this time nicking the head of the target in a show of splintered wood. RT stepped away from his back, and Tian could finally breathe. The man's body was hot against his own and suffocating, he pressed his palm to his head. He felt like he was burning up.

"You did good," RT coughed, before rummaging back through the box. "There's other guns in here if you don't like that one. I use this one, a Class A Eagle. It's a handgun, but you can press this tiny switch on the side and it can fire rapid shots. It has a painful recoil though."

Tian set his own gun down before reaching into the box once more. His hands settled on an older looking style with a wooden handle and 6 empty chambers. His hand smoothed over the engraving. It seemed all too familiar. Tian picked it up before turning it over in his hands. Most of the guns were a simple black with massive chambers and even bigger handles. This one was made small enough for Tian's hands. He swiped a bullet from RT's outstretched hand, loading it before aiming. It didn't jump back as much, and the bullet pierced the center of the target.

"I want this one."

"Thought you would," RT commented, picking up the rest of the weapons and setting them gently into the box. "That gun there was the only gun ever to be used by the Kukouk. In fact, it was used by the fourth Iron Chief. Your grandfather."

His grandfather once again. Moraklis Ashturokma. "He used this?"

RT nodded. "He wasn't just any surface chief. He was the fourth Iron Chief. But he was small, just like you. This gun was carried through Moraklis' battles until his life was taken."

Tian cradled the gun to his chest. His grandfather must've been a mighty man, Tian wished he would have had the chance to meet him. A hand was on his shoulder, squeezing it gently.

"Don't feel sad, Tian. Your people were spiritual. They are never gone. Their souls stand behind you, guiding you to a future that belongs entirely to you," RT commented, with a smile. He slid his hand down Tian's arm, coming to a rest on top of the old gun. "Wield this with pride Tian. The gun will always recognize it's owner."

Tian set it down before reaching into the box to pull a bulky, multi-clipped gun before pushing it into RT's hands. "Show me how far ahead of me you are."

"You want me to use this to shoot the target?" RT questioned, tilting his head a tiny bit. His silky raven colored hair fell in a curtain over his shoulder. The hair piece must've slipped and released some of his long hair. Tian absentmindedly reached up, pushing the hair from RT's pale cheeks. He reached behind the larger man's head and pulled the ribbon free, letting all of RT's long hair fall down his back. The breeze was gentle enough to lift a few strands.

"Blindfolded," Tian answered, pressing the ribbon into his hand. "Show me how good you are."

RT grinned at him before slipping the ribbon over his eyes. He assembled the gun quickly, filling one of the clips before turning towards the target. RT was silent for a brief few seconds before putting the gun up. He fired in rapid succession, easily clipping the arms and legs before sending a bullet straight through the forehead. Then RT put the gun down, and turned back towards Tian. He reached up to untie the ribbon when Tian launched himself at the man.

He tried to knee the man in the gut, but was a second too slow. RT's sank his nails into Tian's thigh before pushing him back. Tian finally broke free from the hold, stumbling over the bench. He swung his fist towards the man's turned head, but RT's massive hand caught it easily, and used his other hand to push him back.

"You're too loud!" RT scoffed, knocking Tian's feet out from beneath him. He caught the smaller boy in his massive arms before laying him on the ground gently. With both knees pinning him down, RT grinned down at him with the tip of a sheathed blade pressing into the boy's throat. Where had the knife come from? "If you wanted to ambush me, then you shouldn't have been so loud."

Tian reached up to pull the ribbon free, finally meeting RT's stormy eyes. The ground was cold against his back, but he was only heating up. Tian grasped the man's arms, unsure of whether or not he should push him away or stay. His long hair tumbled over his shoulder, tickling Tian's sensitive arms and framing his masculine face. He looked so much younger and Tian tried to reach up and push the hair from his eyes.

"So long," Tian whispered, tangling his fingers in the strands. He pulled it gently, reveling in the silky strands against the roughness of his palms. So soft. RT squeezed his hand, balancing his weight on was muscular limb.

"Not so hard," he whispered, squeezing Tian's hand harder. "It hurts."

Their faces were so close that he could feel RT's breath against his lips, and his heart threatened to short circuit. He was saved the embarrassment when RT pushed himself to his feet awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.

Tian was left lying on the ground, panic gripping his chest. If RT wouldn't have moved, would Tian have… accidentally kissed him? Oh god, he wouldn't have been able to live with himself if he had. Why did his body react like that? RT was the enemy.
