I blink my eyes and I was blinded by the brightness, I closed my eyes and let my eyes adjust first.

'You awake?'

I open my eyes and look from the source of the unknown voice. It's a man with black hair, has a brown skin color and she guesses that it's due to being under the sun for too long.

I realized that I was glaring at him when he made a fake cough sound. I looked around and found out that I was in the house infirmary.

'Who are you?'

Again, I look at the guy. This guy does not know me. Does that mean that my despicable father put all of my photos away?

'Who are you?'

I ask back. If he doesn't know me then that is not my problem. I won't claim to be the daughter of that man.

' I have worked here for 3 years now and I do not recognize your face nor your name.'

I just shrugged and tried to check my body for any damage that the old bastard inflicted on my body. My head hurts a little but the part of my ribcage hurts the most.

' Do I have broken ribs?'

He nodded.

I pulled out my iv from my wrist and stood up. I tried to  check for any damage besides from my head and my hurting ribs. Found nothing and I was satisfied.

After what that old bastard has done to me, I won't forget about this.

As I was plotting inside my head, the man coughed again to take my attention.

' Sir ask me to take you with my group to settle some accounts '

Thinking back, I need to act good for now since I was injured and cannot put up a fight. I guess I need to put on a good girl mask.

I nod at him in agreement, he leads the way out and I ask him if I could change into something first. He approved of it so I changed into fitted black jeans and black long sleeve sweater and a pair of rubber, and lastly my black bull cap.

I walked out the long hallway and met 2 more guys beside the first man.

The guys before showed up and said.

' I see, so that's your preference. I am called Kevin, this is Shawn and Owen.'

What does he mean by preference? Does he think that I will wear a dress?

I nodded in acknowledgement and was about to talk when someone called my name.

' Leigh.'

I do not recognize the voice so I looked back to know who it is.

I was surprised to see a woman in her 30's. She has blonde hair and I just know that it's a bleach, her height must be 5'6 at most.

' I heard that you're back but I do not know that that is the only injury that my husband inflicted to you.'

I smirk at what she said. Now I know her, so she's the other woman.

'Your face nor your name. I just know that I do not know it and I sure do not want to know.' of course this is what I want to say but instead

' who are you?'

I saw the woman move closer to me and tried to hurt me by smacking my injuries but I just stepped back a little and the woman's hand hit the air.

I saw that the woman's neck and face turned red so i stepped back more and bowed a little.

' my apologies my lady. But I believe that sir sent me with these men to settle some accounts for him, so if you could excuse us.'

There, I put up a good girl act. Smirk.

'hmp! Be thankful that my husband sent you out.'

With that, we leave the premises.

I do not know anything about this settling account thing, so I can just wait for the thing to play out or maybe I can just ask them out.

' Kevin, what do you mean by settling accounts?'

Kevin looked at me from the rear view mirror.

' You serious? The madam just said that you came back. Doesn't that mean you already know it?'

Now I'm confused.

' er. It's been 5 years since the last time that I came to that place but I do not know anything like that before.'

He looks at me confused.

' 5 years? The group start 4 and a half years ago.'

Hmp, see? Then I really don't know anything.

' really? Then can you tell me now?'

He explained to me that the group will lend money to casinos and put interest, so our job is to take back the money with interest. But if the person in debt could not pay back in the said time, we will take that person and the boss will take charge from there.

Isn't this work sounds like...

a mafia activity?
