Prologue

It was nearly 11:30 in the morning, the city of Amber was filled with life, as the people were going around with their work. It was deemed as one of the modern cities which had the atmosphere of a village, fresh air and calm weather.

Amidst this, somewhere in the outskirts of the city was a beautiful house facing the east, rays of sunlight were seeping in through the windows of the living room, the room was spacoius. The sturdy, but elegant oval-shaped table, having minute intricate designs of the oriental style, to the side of the room surrounded by two velvet red single-seater sofas at the narrow ends of the table and a velvet red longer sofa at the wide side, placed under the windows such that the lighting would help the people sitting there to read or enjoy the view outside much easier.

Neatly arranged on the table were few glasses along with a pitcher, filled with water, for those who wanted to quench their thirst, placed like a hexagon with a dot in the middle on top of few black coasters.

Giving off a vibe of Western culture, decorated with Eastern accessories, one could easily tell the cultural heritage of the owner of the house, making one find it to be refreshing.

But it brought a huge contrast to the occupants in the house.

A woman of nearly twenty four years, was leaning against the the table near the window, a hand on it for support, hunched in pain as she held her stomach with the other arm.

Blood flowing through the wound onto her hand as she hung her head, her dark hair acting as curtains on the side of her face, trying to stabilise herself.

"You shouldn't have made me do this, Crystal. Look at what you've done." a deep masculine voice came from the kitchen, footsteps could be heard approaching the room.

Panic overtook the 'woman', as she turned around, her breathing ragged, her beautiful face pale and her set of peacock green eyes were filled with fear, pain and other emotions, as she faced her 'attacker'.

"Don't look at me like that. You brought this upon yourself. You forced me to do this" he said again.

The man looked at her and then turned around heading for the door, locking it from the outside.

"I'm leaving,Crystal. Don't try to escape. You can't anyway." she heard him say, as the strengthin legs go away, her knees buckled and she hit the floor.

Tears falling down her face, as she struggled to move around, her face contracting with pain, whimpering as she crawled across the living room, to reach her room.

By the time she did, her wound was opening up a lot due to her movements and blood was trickling down even more than before.

She raised her head to lock eyes with her 'objective'. Her phone was lying on the knee height glass table, in front of her sofa, with the bed behind it.

Her eyes filled with determination as she found her hope, she crawled and finally neared it. Propping herself against the foot of the sofa and raising her arm with difficulty, she reached out for her phone.

Fumbling before her hand fell on it, she retrieved it,and immediately unlocked it, calling the person in her Favourites.

Trrinng, Trrinng. ....

"Please, Hannah..... pick up... please.." Crystal's voice was filled with anxiousness, and impatience, even though it was weak.

Her blood was forming a pool around her, her skin was even more pale than before. Big clear beads of sweat falling off her forehead and face.

"Hey, Crys. What's up? Why are you calling me?" a clear, sweet voice like honey, filled with a trace of playfulness could be heard on the line.

Crystal's eyes widen, when she heard Hannah's voice, her face filled with hope and she opened her mouth to say something when her head started to spin and her eyes starting to droop.

"Hello~...Crys. Can you hear me?~"

Struggling to stay conscious, Crystal finally mumbled weakly, "Han...nah...help...."

She could not longer hold down as the phone slid down her hand, falling with a thud, and her body fell down as well, her hands on either side of her face.

"Crystal, what's that noise?!!" the voice was filled with anxiety now.

Crystal's eyes were drooping as she slowly lost consciousness, till finally darkness surrounded her.
