Then There Were Many

20 years ago, that is in the year 2021, the earth was facing one of it's worst nightmares. The planet was engulfed in famines, floods, wars and never ending greed.It was also the year of earth's 4.5 billion years of existence.; something regarded in the cosmos as a prerequisite for the genesis of flow of 'star energy'.

It is this energy that maintains extremities of the universe from chilling cold and vacant space to hot and dense blackholes.The star energy is emitted by such objects with seemingly higher degree of energy or lack thereof. Though we use the term energy while describing this anomalous source of power but it isn't quite so, it's origin and other details are currently unknown to mankind.

It was in the year of 2021 that this energy started slowly seeping into our dimension through pockets created by earth's constant gravity for a long period of time causing pores to appear in the fabric of space slowly leaking the star energy. This energy overtime was stagnated as these pores were very small but after 20 years the energy burst through and envelloped our planet causing a range of mutations. Like plants many living organism became self sufficient, some animals after reacting with star energy evolved as species into higher lifeforms capable of manipulating the space around them as well as their own body. The rate of this mutation varied from organism to organism, some gained extraordinary powers while others slight mutations. The disparity of distribution of these powers in humans was on another level only a few of their vast population of 8 billion people gained these powers. While this surge of power revived a nearing it's end planet, it also meant that human kind lost some amount of control to these newly evolved beasts. The famines , climate change and other global crisis seemed to be at pause while the nature recovered it's magistic beauty. The most catastrophic or prophetic thing this energy burst did was to render human kind's most destructive weapon of mass extinction useless. This was found out after the Chinese government fired low level nuclear missiles to kill the mutated beasts and gain it's land back but the nuclear blast never happen, no amount of radiation was emitted out and the explosion was contained by a mighty beast in what seemed like a force field that was cast by it around the missile.

This led to a sudden realization among human's that their spot of apex predators and top of food chain was not the same, intelligent beasts capable of handling star energy for themselves have appeared. Despite mankind lost it's most powerful weapon and a sense of despair hung around them but this was the rise of it's most destructive force. Though there was desparity in humans on reacting with star energy the one's that did; gained power equal to or maybe surpassing those tyrannical beasts. This led to a new uprising , the world was about to topple, the power hierarchy flipped , a new dawn was about to fall on human kind. And most people were oblivious to what future holds at this moment.
