141 The end

Derek underwent another operation, his external fixators were removed and the doctor inserted a titanium implant in both legs. Derek went through intensive therapy, initially he had to learn how to ambulate via wheelchair because he was not allowed to weight bear. He learnt transfer techniques as well as basic and advance wheelchair skills. Soon, he was ready to leave Russia with Jade. Dr Sin will be accompanying them for the flight back and the flight is equipped for delivery in case Jade suddenly developed contraction up in the air. Father Lee's left eye had been replaced with an eyeball prosthesis for aesthetic purpose. He still walks with a limp but it doesn't hurt anymore like it used to.

They arrived Beijing safely without any complications, two weeks after that Jade safely delivered a baby boy, with birth weight of 3.6 kg. He is blessed with his parents looks and has dimples on both sides. His parents named him Daniel Lee Kuo Ting. His full moon ceremony were attended by all family and friends including a surprise visit from Vivian and Tom. It took them awhile to recognise them because of their face. Derek was still wheelchair bound at that time.

Jason and Jess finally decided to take the next step after they broke up for a few days before they decided they actually have deeper feelings than they care to admit and they actually can't live without each other. They moved in together and Jason had knocked Jess up and now they are in a rush to get married. Their parents especially Jason are in cloud nine with the good news. Initially when they heard about the break up they wanted to faint from broken heart. They really want this son of theirs to settle down and give them grandchildren. Now, they get both of their dreams come true.

Chris married Jen in a private ceremony in Italy at one of the historical castle. It was something that Jen wanted. Since she rarely request for anything, this wish of hers, he could not find it in him to reject. They came back and held another small ceremony for family and friends. Not long after they tied the knot, Jen started having symptoms of pregnancy and Chris is going to be a father. It was something he had been looking forward to ever since he met his nephew, Danial. In another three months time, he will be an uncle once again to April's twins.

Adam had been boasting his ability to have planted two seeds making the guys want to work harder to impregnate their partners. They don't want to lose to such shameless guy.

Jade and Derek were sitting in a hammock while staring at the moon. Derek now has been walking on his two legs for the past one month, he had restarted his morning jogs and martial art training. Jade was so proud of the man beside her. He had worked so hard to stand again on his two feet. Every night he ravage her like there is no tomorrow but she has no complains about it.

Their son is in Jade's arm hungrily suckling at her breast making Derek jealous. Father Lee could not help but chuckle at his son's jealousy. "When you were that age, you were exactly the same, taking up my Yu Ling's attention and time. When you were a little bigger, you were so possessive of your mother and you even tried to kick me off the bed a few times. You even beat me everytime I tried to hug your mother. We had to wait till you are asleep then only we could have our time together. Your mother would just ask me to be bigger man whenever I eat a jar of vinegar. Hahahaha. Now, it's your turn to experience it", said Father Lee as he walked away.

Derek pouted at his father's words. He then poke Daniel's nose and said softly, "Little man, your mother is mine! I will loan her to you for few months, then I want her back, intact! Don't you have funny ideas that she belongs to you."

This was the beginning of the father and son competitive nature vying for Jade's attention. Each time Jade has to placate both of them. Daniel did not show any signs of autism or Asperger but his IQ and EQ appears extraordinary since young. This would be a story for much much later, if ever the story is going to be told.

As they were both admiring the moon, the looked in each others eyes and felt blessed that they met during that cold winter night and how the both of them brought warmth, joy and comfort into each other life and now a new life. Just like the season, the cold winter will end and then comes spring where the flowers bloom and blossom.
