16 The U-turn
"We are happy to welcome you on board Haneul Soo Young" the voice from the call startled Haneul who stared at Lee with a blank expression
"Han, who is on the call? Why are you looking so pale all of a sudden? What happened? Haneul" Lee Soong shook her roommate vigorously
"Are you okay? What's happening? Why are you sweating?" Lee questioned while Haneul dropped her mobile on the floor
Lee immediately picked Haneul's mobile from the floor, luckily there was no crease on the screen, she immediately went to her roommates call log and saw a new number displayed in the recent calls list
Looking at her friend's state Lee immediately made a call to the same number which went unattended, she tried the same for a few more times and finally gave up when she received the same reply
Lee Soong stared at her roommate who is staring into the blank space, Lee looked all the sides and when she got confirmation that no eyes are watching them she slapped hard on Haneul's cheek
"What?" Haneul questioned coming back to the world
"I should be the one asking the question Haneul? What had happened? Why did you look like a corpse? You know that look of yours scared the shit in me and I had left with no option except slapping life into you" Lee Soong explained her act
Haneul looked around with her big eyes
"Don't worry, I slapped you only after making sure that no one is looking at us" Lee stated
Haneul chuckled to herself knowing that her every move is being already observed
"Now tell me what had happened? Why did you suddenly quit the opportunity and now why were you so shocked after the call? What is actually happening around me? What am I supposed to do now?" Lee Soong questioned
"Make your dress straight, comb your hair and smear your favourite lipstick on your lips. You are going to meet the man of your dreams" Haneul stated dragging her every step towards the house
"What? Didn't you tell me just a few minutes back that we are not going to work here anymore? Then how did that got altered all of a sudden and why are you walking like this? What did Min Woo Joon's father spoke to you? Why was he so eager about sending me out of the place? Why did you want to run away? What is wrong with you now? Why you want to go back all of a sudden and who spoke to you on call? Care to explain this curious soul anything? I am going to die with nervousness," Lee Soong stated following Haneul who is breathing heavily
"Lee, nothing which happened is worth storming your brain. Just forget the past 15 minutes and think that we are going to do the job we are supposed to do. Don't unnecessarily storm your brain" Haneul reached the main door and raised her hand to press the bell but the doors were opened at the same time
"Not at all surprising" she muttered under her breath entering inside the house for the second time in the same day within a span of two hours
Lee Soong followed her roommate like a adopted puppy following her owner
Haneul kept looking at the upstairs neglecting her roomie who is poking her from the backside
"Excuse me" Haneul called out a woman who was standing at a door
"This way Madam" the woman smiled politely
"This one too, great" Haneul stated aloud walking towards the door and after a three minute walk she entered a huge restroom with marble flooring
Lee who has been following Haneul with many questions in her mind looked grumpy all the way to the restroom, but once she looked at the beauty of the place she forgot everything
"Han, our whole flat can fit in her and we can still have space for garden left" Lee stated looking all around the room in awe
Haneul's eyes already started skimming the room
"Cream curtains, marble flooring, rose wood doors and combination of light grey and white all over the walls" her mind didn't leave any detail
"Few things are better unchanged" Haneul's lips broke into a smile even though she tried concealing
Observing the smile on her roommate's lips Lee Soong came running and put a hand on her forehead
"What are you doing Ms. Lee Soong?" Haneul questioned
"Checking your temperature" Lee stated looking confused
"Why?" Haneul questioned back
"Because you are behaving all kinds of weird. I just can't understand what's the matter with you. I haev saw your moods changing like a chameleon changing its color in the past half an hour. Will you please tell me what's the matter? This pure soul may die soon with the curious questions her mind is throwing at her. Are you seriously okay?" Lee questioned
"I have already said you that don't storm your brain with unnecessary questions. Everything is going to be okay, it's just a game of life and sometimes we might feel like we end up losing but we can't lose hope how bleak the situation is. Don't worry, we are okay. Now get ready" Haneul smiled
"Han, tell me truth, are you by any chance pregnant?" Lee Soong questioned looking into Haneul's eyes
"What? Are you seriously gone Lee Soong? From where did you get this stupid doubt?" Haneul questioned
"It's your behavior which is making me feel so. Why are you behaving like that? I saw pregnant women getting mood swings like that" Lee put forth the reason for her doubt
"I assure you that I am not, now if you please allow me I will use the loo" Haneul stormed inside the loo without waiting for Lee's response as she know there are many questions for Lee which she can't escape
Lee stood opposite to the mirror staring at her reflection
"Well played Father and Son, well played. Your part is done, now mine will start" Haneul said more like a determined statement
