2 Beginning of the Apocalypse

After finding a bathroom, Chu Lixue, standing in front of the bathroom's large mirror, began to observe her new body. Skin as pale as milk, complemented with dark green eyes, that also somewhat looked pale, with a stature that was both skinny and strong at the same time. With a height of around 165 cm, she had perfect proportions and good looks, which some could call seductive.

The previously disfigured face, that Chu Lixue had seen in her memories, is nowhere to be seen. With a tiny chin, a dainty nose and bloody red lips, her current face was a perfect example of the sunflower type of face.

Long black hair that was currently let loose. Just when she silently stood, she excluded an aura of both nobility, but at the same time coldness. Her charisma undeniably added to her appeal.

Although this body possessed a similar face to hers, the first impression she's got felt different. While this body had a cold element of beauty, making her look like an Ice Queen, Chu Lixue's original self was more of a beauty with the characteristics of a fairy.

Being done with checking her body, Chu Lixue next turned her attention to her ragged clothing. Not only was it dirty and uncomfortable, but it was so tattered that the holes on the cloths were big enough to fit another person's hand. Looking further, she could spot dark red spots on her clothes, which most likely was blood that had already dried out, and probably didn't come from her.

Perhaps, the only thing on her body in a good condition would be her ring, which was somehow still clean. Looking through her memories, Chu Lixue found out that the ring is the last keepsake of the body's birthmother, that the original soul managed to preserve.

Touching her ring, Chu Lixue was startled. Even though she previously couldn't feel it, but now upon touching her own hand, she could clearly feel that her body was ice cold.

'What the hell?', was the only thing Chu Lixue thought at that moment.

Scrolling through her new memories, Chu Lixue felt her mood was slowly getting worse. Previously, she had ignored memories of the original soul after Eldest Miss Chu moved to A City, thinking that it wouldn't contain anything important.

Now however, Chu Lixue didn't know if right now she was supposed to laugh or cry.

Even though she was happy at getting a second chance at life, thanks to her transmigration, but now she couldn't help but feel that maybe truly her luck was already fully used. Even if she could ignore her new body's horrific past, since even in the novels she had sometimes read in the past, usually the transmigrated hero would have some obstacles here and there, but just how unlucky was she to transmigrate into a body of a Zombie?

Yes, that's right. A freaking Zombie!

A few months after coming to A City, during the time when Eldest Miss Chu was finally starting to overcome her depressive state, and slowly managed to stand on her own feet, everything again collapsed.

One faithful day, during the time when she was on her way to work, the Apocalypse descended on this world. Humans would turn into zombies, while the group of people that was lucky enough to not get infected, would slowly have a chance to gain additional abilities, wielding power to fight for survival, becoming ability users.

Chu Lixue however, wasn't lucky enough to escape the virus. She became a zombie during the first wave of infections, after which her memories began to be blurry.

They were still enough though, to find out more information's about where she was. If her conjunctions were true, then a few weeks should have passed since she became a Zombie. Right now, she should be in the industrial part of the city, inside an abandoned warehouse.

She raised her head and muttered to herself, "Shouldn't I get some special abilities?"

Thinking up to this point, excitement was slowly creeping into her eyes. Since her body turned into a state, in which, after changing clothes, most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference between her and a Zombie, then perhaps she could also have some power.

Trying to concentrate as much as she could, following the sound of the wind, Chu Lixue found herself feeling a strange, warm energy going through her body. After spending some time observing it, she was shocked to find out that what she was feeling was a mixture of two different types of energy. One of them was light green in color, potentially hinting at an ability that was in harmony with plants, while the other one was dark brown, which perhaps had something to do with earth.

Both energies would combine into a whirlpool inside her head, in which perhaps she had some type of nucleus.

She was slightly disappointed however, when no matter how long she would concentrate on the energies and try to meditate, it would show no changes at all.

"Maybe I'm doing it in a wrong way, something feels missing", Chu Lixue said to herself.

Somehow, even though she was a Zombie, Chu Lixue found herself getting a little sleepy. Finding an office room in which she could close the door, Chu Lixue lied down on the floor and slowly began to fall asleep.
